Top vlog! Very informative. I’ve already downloaded some of these apps but i cant find the PYA app. Must only be for iphones?
Lets see how this works, I not do this before (yeah right) … be careful with these apps thai women are very jealous 5555
Great vid mate thanks
Great M8. Been looking for a simple Thai language phrase helper, and Speak Thai will do me !! Thanks.
You should not be using your phone when driving…even vertually….Should have a disclaimer, because there are some awful clever idiots out there that might try to do this..
What bike would you recommend for all day use in Thailand something you can tour as well as get around the city? what cc is best to have ?
Good info !! but are these apps just for apple only or can they be used with Android?
Great information thanks –
Very helpful for people who fist time traveling Thailand 🇹🇭 👍🏻
I live in AUSTRALIA, And I have line app ,, A Thai girl put me on to it a few years ago, Now I talk to friends in Thailand all the time & it’s free ⁉️👍🤪🇹🇭🇹🇭
I know this had to have been addressed before, but how did you learn thai?
Thank you for the video, Thumbs Up 👍.
good stuff cannot bluff,,,,R4K
I bet you get lots of matches Mr Smooth😎😄 I use the app Everyday Thai for phrases, also free and very good.
The distinctive sound you get from a LINE message is getting just as common now in Thailand as the 7/11 bing bong when you enter 1 of their shops 555
Nice list.. thanks. You mentioned a couple I was not aware of. I might also suggest as a way to keep up on the news in Thailand and app called "Thailand News in English". They aggregate Thai PBS World, Pattaya One, The Nation, Thaivisa Forum, Coconuts, Khaosod English. Seems to be an easy way to keep up on news in Thailand.
You’re videos are so different to everybody else’s fella.I love you’re style they are really good useful information videos.Keep up the good work
thank you. very practical. I see you have settled down very well. life is good.
happy for you. thanks for sharing.
Great Video , Something different, I used GRAB TAXI APP a couple of years ago in Phuket. The other apps worth a thought Thank you. I hope my computer does not catch the corona virus from any of these apps…Hey Mate thanks again.
When in Thailand,, just use Line ✅✅✅✅⁉️🇹🇭
Yes don’t use Thaifriendly please stay off. Never ever send a message that says "Hi my lineid is monkeybiker" and have them contact you that way. And whatever you do don’t just pay the $30. Lol. Nice tip on Eatigo at 50% off I’d be living in Hooters may not be a good thing.
Tinder vs Thai Freindly,. Looks like you paid for Tinder and using the free version of TF. If that is the case, not really a fair comparison?
Great info
great imfo thank you
Line is a must in Thailand. Also very popular in other parts of Asia.
Thank you good sir: the budget airlines are worth mentioning also Nok Air, Air Asia & Thai lion air for domestic travel. Google maps allows downloads for offline as well
Thai friendly, I know people have good & bad experiences withing dating apps I met my girlfriend on there and now live in Isaan
Keep up the great work 🇹🇭🛵☀️
Thanks for the tips. I use Line, most Thai people I know also use Facebook and messenger. Online on the phone is a big deal in Thailand and I do not like that so much. Sitting in a bar everybody looking at there phone…I have seen it. I only have wifi and often I do not pick up my phone going out. But you can get wifi in most every place you come. The language app is nice, last time a cab driver who brought me to BBK airport had one. Nice driving in the early morning, in two days I am in Pattaya. I go look in Nick’s bar (s), would be nice if we would meet! I can ask there if you are around. All the best Lucas.
Another interesting vid with useful and great info. Thanks Lucas.
Thanks for the tips. I already use Line its essential to stay in contact with Thais you may meet. I love Eatigo, so many good restaurants in Pattaya and Bangkok for up to 50% discount, have used it many times with no issues.
Hi. Where are you driving @ 11:00 ?
Well I laughed out loud after watching that intro. Great video!
It’s Speak Thai Phrasebook lite that’s free. Speak Thai comes up as $2.99. If anyone is doing a search on the App Store. 👍🏼
Glad you were NOT doing this while driving : )
A Lot good apps to help me there.
Thanks
Line is indispensable! Every girl you meet uses it.
Very dangerous to use your phone apps while riding your bike. The screen blocks most of your vision.
Hi – this is not a criticism of your vlog but I’ve been bothered by "phrasebooks" for several decades that are too correct.
Dealing with simple taste (rather than allergies), if you are asked if you want the food spicy all you need to know is: "mai ow, krap" (no thank you), or "mai phet, krap" (not spicy, please), both of which are pretty easy to learn – and more useful to newbies who are unlikely to master sentences 2-4x longer… After all, this is usually all the waiters will say.
Maybe someone like you could start their own ‘chat-level’ app…
I translate has TERRIBLE reviews!
On Thai friendly always use your first message to either give your line id or ask for theirs. Free instant messaging after that 🙂
How do you pay attention to driving when you have that screen up?
Google Maps offers download offline options too. But the advantage to using Google Maps is prior to downloading the offline version, you can add various icons to locations you want to visit (such as a star, want to go, etc). You can even create custom lists to categorize things. For example, I create lists for things like restaurants, hotels, entertainment locations, bus stations, airports, moto rental offices, attractions, etc).
After you have added all your stars to places you want to visit, then you download the map offline. And all those locations you starred will be still visible even if you have no data in addition to other businesses still being shown. But this makes finding places you target, simple.
For Android users only, downloading the Google "MyMaps" app is even better. You can create a private map with an endless amount of icons, color coding, etc. You can share your map. iPhone users would have to access it via the browser. For example, I mark all hotels/guest houses of interest in a particular color and add a bed icon. For bars, I add a cocktail glass icon in a different color, and I add a knife/fork for restaurants. The advantage here is you can easily turn off categories so if you are just looking for restaurants you have researched & want to try, then just click the knife/fork and voila, all your favorites & places you want to try. Better yet, this private map can be shared with friends.
Hope that helps.
I watch a lot of news and political stuff so listening to your calming voice, and watching your videos are pleasant, authentic, and soothing. What’s particularly notable is the refrain from channel hype and commercialization, though a bit wouldn’t bit off putting. Just always keep your channel balanced in that way s’il vous plait. Otherwise I’ll have no where else to retreat :p
Bout time you hit the Thai bird finder apps….
Thai Friendly is good if you weed out the money diggers and you exchange contact apps like messenger, line or whatsapp then you can talk to your hearts content. Met my future wife on there like many people have. Set up from home and be met at the airport by them, you also learn how not to be cheated from them but you still have to pay farang prices at venues etc. £5 on the train for you and 40 baht for the Thai’s.
Why doesn’t 1-2-Go have bus, train or van choices? Agoda for sure, they’ve ALWAYS treated me well in the few hotel disputes that I’ve had over many years. Yes, Google maps allows download of maps for offline use too. Line is great, get an unlimited data plan (2,500 Baht per year, 4GB speed at AIS) and use line for your calls and keep a small cash balance (100-200 Baht) on your Sim account for the occasional outgoing regular call. BIG TIP….in Thailand, INCOMING calls over a regular cell connection is not charged against your account. Eatigo is great in Bangkok. Grab is useful in Bangkok and Malaysia too. Lazada is excellent but there are a lot of misrepresentations by vendors….but, Lazada has a great return process. Another quality vid from R4K…thank you!
Really good information would love to move next year to jomtien on education visa any vids on condo rentals would help enormously if you have the time know your busy
Google maps has a option to download offline maps too.
I’m puzzled by posts claiming how essential Line is for contact. What’s wrong with calling somebody and arranging to meet up like we’ve been doing since the advent of the telephone? I’m not a fan of contact via a keyboard, particularly when it far quicker to talk. Besides if you’re already in company, surely its the height of rudeness/ignorance to have your face buried in your fone texting? 🙄
Lol.. Thai Friendly, that was my first contact with Thai girls and the girl you picked i used to talk to back in September.. You will find most girls use this and go over to Line to chat. Be aware most will still use a translator to chat to you. So some patience is needed. I have talked to many ladies there, includiing my main lady whom i met last March on Thai Friendly.
Great stuff my man swipe right i think if i have my swipes right Thanks.
