I live in 1600 square feet brick house and have a 1 Gbps fiber connection. In my living room I get around 600/600 on 5 GHz wifi 5. However in my bedroom the connection drops to between 60 – 100 mbps and and a few times it drops connection. I run on the 5 Ghz band.

So which router would you surgest that penetrats brick walls better?

I need something that can cover a 4000 soft house and outside camera system. I have spectrum with a net gear router and have had spotty coverage for 3 years need to upgrade? Ideas? Orbi 3000?

  5. Javie M on April 15, 2022 at 6:08 pm

Can you use these routers outside of home?

“The best MESH ROUTER for HOME use is the NETGEAR ORBI WIFI 6, that cost $1k, period”

I got a lot of ads on this video, Would have liked to listen in but gave up watching due to the many disruptions. Got 4 just about halfway through.

    I like this video.. but…

I purchased the Netgear router you suggested. And, I do not have access to the basic security menu without a $69 yearly subscription.

Subscription services that remove even the most basic security settings – this is an important thing to consider.

So, you really let me down. And, I think you let down the more honest manufacturers also.

What about the Asus AX11000, just purchased this one?

I was looking for a video to send to a friend. If I send this one, I think she will be more confused than she is now. With about 5 editors choice routers for different uses ( it could be more, I stopped counting after a while), this video can be very confusing to some. May be you can list your choices at the end to make it simple. I know it’s from PC maganize but, it wouldn’t hurt to cater to the general public. Just a suggestion.

The RT66U is such an old platform. It’s been around for about 10 years. I guess if it ain’t broke don’t fix it.

I have a pretty big old stone house with thick walls but a current max internet speed of 35Mbps. I just want something that’s going to give me great signal everywhere and possibly the garden whilst not going crazy and spending a fortune on features that will never be of use with my limited connection speed. Are the more expensive TPlinks going to offer me anything more in terms of range over the c50?

  18. emvee16 on April 15, 2022 at 6:45 pm

Netgear ripoff. Lock out of warranty and want $ for extended warranty. Smh

  19. My YouTube account on April 15, 2022 at 6:48 pm

watched the first 30 sec and it was enough to know the video is bs. That router is a plastic toy, way worse than many others in this price class and it’s a shame that you are pushing it.

802.11 AC is wifi 5, the newest one 802.11 AX which is wifi 6. Which actually came out around 2 years ago so how is the future proof and latest technologies when your talking about an older system. I find this video very misleading.

  26. Jorge Hernandez on April 15, 2022 at 6:58 pm

Did you test Nighthawk 5200? Which one is better Nighthawk ax5200 vs google mesh ac2200?

  27. I love bacon on April 15, 2022 at 6:58 pm

  28. John P on April 15, 2022 at 7:01 pm

What’s ad? I just got ax wifi 6 and now ad is the future? I don’t get this video. Wifi 6 was out 2 months ago when this video came out and yet this dude is still calling ac wifi 5 "the latest". Think maybe someone uploaded the 2019 list by mistake
