Does a BBA in Information Systems fall in the same category? I know there’s a lack of math and programming in the curriculum, but could someone who does a lot of self teaching on the side be successful and pass HR screening with this degree and experience on the side?

I just switched to CIS from CS a year ago and I can’t complain at my school it’s more business classes and less math courses so I feel like I’m in between a business major and a CS major. Hey,
I am looking for some sound career advice. I am having trouble deciding on a degree path.
(Background) for starters I was essentially a Data Analyst in the Marine Corps and have experience with Oracle and some other programs. I spent a lot of time looking at and organizing Data.(there’s a lot more to this but a lot to type) And then presenting data to assist in making business decisions. I enjoy working at a computer etc.
All of my school will be covered with the GI bill and grants so at least for my Bachelors my school will be covered. Any advice or recommendations would be very helpful as I’m kind of in limbo just taking gen Ed’s trying to figure out what the best career path for me is. However CIS seems like it’d be a good path with my experience, just trying to do my research about this degree program and getting into the IT field
