Ate max view won’t connect to drone,, trying to find most reasonably priced one that will?

  2. Ernie Z. Lazos 22 on July 3, 2021 at 2:15 am

I’ve been watching your videos for a month or so so I can choose the right drone since
    I’ve never flown before.
I have a galaxy note 5 does D.J.I. have a simulator that will work with just a cell phone so I can have an idea of the feel and the use of the controller and what the controller consist of.

Thank you for this video. I didn’t buy a DJI. I bought the UPair 2 4K+3D and my phone don’t USB tether up with it due to my phone company. So now I’m looking into a new phone. And this video has helped a lot.

DJI phones for 2020 video needs to happen. My Samsung worked fine on a HS720, I got a Mavic Mini and the DJI Fly app was not compatible? Nor was my Samsung tablet. My 10.5 I pad would work but that defeats the portability of having a small drone if I have to haul a big tablet around!! Frustrated, I upgraded to a I phone Xr because I’m tired of not being able to fly my new Mini. Expensive lesson learned? Maybe a good video to do Captain?? DJI Fly app, phones. BTW .. on the box is listed the I phone SE2020 but DJI tech does not recommend it? Thanks , good information.

  12. Talasay on July 3, 2021 at 2:29 am

A tablet will fit just fine so a very large phone will have no problems

  13. Paul Boon on July 3, 2021 at 2:30 am

  20. Sky1 on July 3, 2021 at 2:44 am

My wife upgraded, I can have her old S6. Was thinking about defaulting it and only load DJI. Would a dedicated phone just for flight be helpful?

  21. Jerry Hayden on July 3, 2021 at 2:44 am

As usual another excellent info video. That answers my questions thank you very much.

  24. Phil H on July 3, 2021 at 2:45 am

Excellent advice…staying in 2017 lol… just acquired DJI Phantom 3 Professional and am looking for a compatible phone to use exclusively with this drone bearing in mind the following:
    1. No i anything
    2. No tabs
    3. Not too big

    4. OLED
Am looking at the Samsung S8 but not sure if it will be fully compatible with the DJI app. I’m reading about people who got latest phones (and found they are not compatible) so obviously don’t want to fall in that trap.
    Thanks in advance

  31. lalot777 on July 3, 2021 at 2:49 am

Is there an vr fpv app for mavic mini

  32. tigrenoir17 on July 3, 2021 at 2:50 am

I just ended a long spec comparison between all actual Samsung phone (S8, S9, S10, A8, Note 8, Note 9), and the Note 8 is still the one with the higher rate of nits (more than the Note 9)
I also found the processor specs of the Smart controller and of the Crystl Sky and I compared them to my list… well… clearly even if the Note 8 is two years old and aren’t the most powerful of my comparison list… it will be OK for at least several year πŸ˜›
So I hope the release of the Note 9 will make the Note 8 less expensive, because it look to still be a really good value πŸ™‚

You can get the phatom 4 on wish complete. Most likely a knock-off because it is considerably cheaper,@$29.00

  36. Matias Varela Barros on July 3, 2021 at 2:55 am

    today what do you recommend?

  37. Liberty Lockdown on July 3, 2021 at 2:56 am

the note 8 is a little long to fit comfortably in the controller imo. I would recommend a 5.8" screen

  38. Lazar Catic on July 3, 2021 at 2:57 am

How do you reduce lag on an Android

  50. Patrick Michael on July 3, 2021 at 3:12 am

Going back and looking at some of your old videos. I am thinking about picking up a Samsung Note 8 for my Mavic Air even though it’s 2019 now – specially considering it has higher nits than the CrystalSky 5.5. Please note, though: You do not get this by turning up the brightness to full. That is only 750-800 nits. You have to set the brightness to AUTO and make sure the sensor is not covered by the controller handle. Intense sun will then bump the nits to 1200 max, which should be bigger and brighter than CrystalSky. Can you confirm this now that you have both, please?
