The Best Budget Home Theater Setup!
Can you build a good home theater setup for less than $1,000? Yep.

Snazzy Labs host, Quinn Nelson, builds his brother a cheap home theater setup that has an insane price-to-performance ratio. Can a $499 projector be any good? Jury says yes! He also shows some neat home theater hacks to get good quality sound on the cheap instead of using a sound bar or surround sound. A killer setup for a killer price!
Just use opt out from ps4, the DAC in projector is likely poor quality
The most good soundbars and speakers begin in a pricerange around 400. You can buy a dolby surround 5.1 for 100, but the quality is not for years! Fostex monitor speakers are cheap and good (also behringer, Philips, Sony) If you have a small room you can do it! Better sound? Buy: Harman Kardon (JBL), BOSE, Philips, Sony, Sonos, Yamaha, etc. I have a LED FULL HD 1080 Beamer buyed in the Netherlands for 150 euro, pretty good and not getting hot! Love to watch Netflix and youtube on it!!
PlayStation Tv
YOU SOUND SO SNOBBY AND ELITIST! "FOR NORMAL PEOPLE" REALLY?!
please them what a pawnshop someone! its a place where if lucky you find something like a yamaha receiver or a denon ! i have found everything from stereos, speakers even found lespaul box guitar singed by all members of the band ELO !!
Did he say a 1000$ set up is budget?
Get used old good equipment? Can even be just Dolby digital or DTS and will be way under 100 for a receiver
totally missed your chance at a spinal tap "these go to eleven" JOKE when showing the volume on the JBLs lol
I see you watching too many cooks
That’s the Schiit.
4:38 Tom de Long from Blink182 is sitting on your couch!
I did my home theater on a small budget too. I was competing with six million dollar home theaters. But I built my screen wall with a 2.35 to 1 aspect ratio and DIY screen material for about $350 another few hundred dollars and I added some chairs. I started off with a 1080p DLP projector but I got used for $1,400. Now I have a brand new top-of-the-line Sony 4K projector that I got for a small fraction of the retail price by a quirk of warranty repair on the used unit that I had bought. So I’m pretty pleased with the system now and it competes well with systems costing hundreds of times more.
1080p for 500 dollars. Nah xs
*Shit what ?? 😐….OK !*
Studio monitors sound flat don’t they
too many cooks
Were you watching "Too Many Cooks?" Haha!
My favorite thing about being a non famous person who was in a viral video, is the fact I can just be living my life as normal, watch a video while projector shopping, only to find out I’m in it 🤣
As mentioned, this is not a budget setup. "Sound setup for a projector" was the search that got me to this link, highly disappointed at the still non budget, non surround sound option used. I have a comparable projector and 100" screen for the cost of one speaker… I need to start a channel… View Sonic got some more free crap?
er… I came here for cheap. $1,000 is not what I consider cheap. help meh… XD
Good Schitt my dude
You should’ve connected an XBOX ONE into the system instead of the PS4. It’s better for media purposes as you can get dedicated media remotes for it and it has a smart system that mutes and turns on and off the TV as you turn it on. it can also display your cable TV box through the inwards HDMI port.
To many cook’s
I had a question about the speakers is the speakers placed on the TVs left and right or my left and right me facing the TV?
My Epson HC 2040 can control the volume just fine lol, I’ll rather get bookshelf speakers and a small class-D amp, monitors have a narrower sound field, some of which have volume/remote control.
Why would anybody come out of the projector for audio , please come out of the PS4
$400 is a budget equipment? When I hear budget I’m thinking $100-199.
Well, go 2nd hand. you can go a long way with home theater. especially projectors and surround-sound receivers. ideally, go with a LED projector.
So was this an honest review or a paid commercial?
Polk t series set up for 200 at Walmart
I doubt that this is the "Best Home Theater Setup".
What does this guy think a budget is? $500 for a projector?! I can get a qled tv for that!
Cant you change the volume level with the projector? Ive had 4 different projectors and they all do that.
You should install a screen there.
Why Schitt? That’s a stupid brand name!
Too Many Cooks!
I might be a bit more towards hearing oriented than average so a 2.0 audio would kill all the joy from a sci-fi or action movies and would not have that immersion that a 5.1 (or better system) makes. Also many people do enjoy content downloaded from internet and that makes a sony system (playstation) quite unusable because they are quite strict copyright and control nazis. So any media with different area code would not work, many common codecs wont work, anything with cinavia wont work and so on..
129$ per speaker? Just get quality headphones for the price of one of those and enable surround sound.
"but sys it is not"
so this is a trans preamp
I have a request can u please make a vedio that showing which wire connected to where like how to connect play station ,tv cable , speakers to projector and by which cable
They be watching GX1000 videos, hell ya!
Someone should make a projector to fully replace a TV. Like it should be able to have a service provider so you can watch shows on it, and also have great speakers built in. Projectors are the future!
I don’t think $500 for 1080p is where it’s at
Your things all junk your brother also is a stupid musician
A 50ft hdmi cable from Walmart is not high end in the slightest.
I was just looking for a good tv and then was like YO ITS SNAZZY
I got the same projector and its it’s pretty awesome
I need a brother who will spend $1000 for a budget home theater for my apartment
how is that budget
Relative terms are trash. $300 a pair. Who would spend that?
