If you only have $150 to spend I would say don’t go for 5.1, it’s never going to be any good at that price. You are likely better off getting a pair of powered speakers for $150. Sure you only get stereo but you will get far better sound quality for a pair of 5" (or even 4") speakers than you would get from any soundbar. And if you get speakers with a sub out port you can expand with a subwoofer later.

This is not 5.1…better off with a second hand older amp and satellite speakers with active subwoofer.
Great review, tempted to pick this up for my living room tv. Literally was just complaining how quiet the TV was yesterday.
This sound system is terrible. Stay away from Vizio as they have an immense recall rate for this model.
