Would have been nice to get more details on how good or bad each did on each of the different tests.

I love my Le Creuset, but the inside on the bottom is stained gray. I have found nothing that will remove that stain. Do you have a solution?

  4. Naomi M on April 14, 2022 at 6:09 pm

What about the Martha Stewart enameled cast iron dutch ovens?

  5. Robert Ferguson on April 14, 2022 at 6:09 pm

Unless you get a Le Creuset at tjmaxx for $169.00 like i did!

  6. Sonja Miller on April 14, 2022 at 6:10 pm

I bought a 3-piece set of Le Creuset about 15 years ago. I was downsizing, packing and pissed about something and threw out everything in my kitchen including that set. When I’d calmed down and went outside to retrieve them they were gone. I’ve just bought another set. That won’t happen again.

  7. Phlegethon on April 14, 2022 at 6:12 pm

  10. ipuya on April 14, 2022 at 6:14 pm

I think they are pronounced "cuisine Art". Not cuisinert.

  11. Migthulhu on April 14, 2022 at 6:18 pm

I’ve had this Cuisinart for more than a decade and I think it’s great.

  12. Katrina Levin on April 14, 2022 at 6:18 pm

Where was Lodge in the lineup?

  13. Musata on April 14, 2022 at 6:19 pm

That silver "dutch oven" isn’t a dutch oven at all man…

  14. Phil Indeblanc on April 14, 2022 at 6:22 pm

WHat are some No-No for enameld dutch ovens? As I have seen LeCreuset inside enamel at the bottom flake off. Yes they cover it, but you have to ship it, and they dont send you a replacement of the same color. Maybe going over the warranty on the others would be helpful. Also, it would be nice to have included a runner up, and particularly not have a $ cut off, but include a slightly over the budget performer as a consideration. That way it doesnt sound like a CuisineArt commercial.

  15. Renee L. Marks on April 14, 2022 at 6:24 pm

How tall is the Cuisinart? I need space for my sourdough bread to expand.

Excellent review, my decision has been made as a result of your analysis. Excellent criteria used in making this determination.

  22. TheIkaika777 on April 14, 2022 at 6:29 pm

  23. Romy Ilano on April 14, 2022 at 6:30 pm

America’s test kitchen is the best! I only rely on them for all my pot and pan purchases

  24. Dustin Petty on April 14, 2022 at 6:31 pm

Why did they do this video when the black-haired woman with glasses already did one about enameled Dutch ovens?

  25. Darryl on April 14, 2022 at 6:32 pm

It would’ve been great if they had listed and rated each.

  26. rico567 on April 14, 2022 at 6:32 pm

A local yard sale has one for $10.

  27. Phlegethon on April 14, 2022 at 6:34 pm

You can slam the lid on the Le cruset and the enamel doesn’t chip?

  28. brianminkc on April 14, 2022 at 6:35 pm

I got a Martha Stewart 7 quart for $22 at Sams. Beat that deal.

  29. Eric Ebling on April 14, 2022 at 6:36 pm

I have owned a 3.5 qt Le Creuset dutch oven for years and like it. When I needed something bigger I did some research and bought a 6.2 qt. Landhaus. Beautiful enamel. I cooked with it for 2 months and I am pleased.

  30. irishgrl on April 14, 2022 at 6:38 pm

    I love my Lodge.

  31. scraw2002 on April 14, 2022 at 6:38 pm

    The link is incorrect.

  35. P Mue on April 14, 2022 at 6:41 pm

When you get married put Le Creuset on top of your list. A great second one is Staub significant cheaper but great and lasting a very long time too.

  36. Epona on April 14, 2022 at 6:42 pm

Would have appreciated having the weight of the top two pans compared. I read some reviews of the Cuisinart and it was super heavy, but I haven’t figured out the exact weight.

  37. Fired Cast Iron - Rustic Cooking - Simple Living on April 14, 2022 at 6:45 pm

We have more than 25 pieces, none Le Creuset, and do have a couple of pieces of the Cuisinart. We assumed if we could buy 5 of something else for the same price, we would come out ahead, even if something went wrong. Nothing ever has. We use the various pieces as our regular cooking arsenal, and are thrilled with the results. Going with overstock stores, estate sales and even the odd treasure at a rummage sale has enabled us to even have specialty pieces we could never have afforded paying such high prices just to say we have the brand of choice. I can’t imagine how anything could cook better than what we have, and we have no anxiety about putting the cookware to the test since we could actually afford to get more. More pieces, more fearless, creative cooking. Life is good!

  38. Diva Geneva on April 14, 2022 at 6:45 pm

    LE is pronounced “luh”
LES Is the plural form, pronounced “lay”
    So please pronounce it correctly
    LUH Creuset.

  39. Mean Bat on April 14, 2022 at 6:46 pm

  41. sam Tollefson on April 14, 2022 at 6:49 pm

I don’t know~~~it is hard to beat the Lodge for price and quality!

  42. sharon caverlee on April 14, 2022 at 6:52 pm

    Wrong link for this item.

  43. Zokhid Ibragimov on April 14, 2022 at 6:55 pm

What a biased review. I didn’t see you slamming Cuisinart lid like you did with Lodge.

  44. Nikki M. Casey on April 14, 2022 at 6:57 pm

That link is the offer for the fat separator.

  45. Jimmi B on April 14, 2022 at 6:58 pm

I bought a Lodge 6 quart enameled dutch oven on sale for $50 about one year ago. I had been wanting a dutch oven for years. I am very pleased with it-at my age all cookware will last a lifetime!

  46. Allen Lam on April 14, 2022 at 6:59 pm

Based on the recommendation of ATK, whom I usually find reliable, I spent big bucks for a Le Creuset dutch oven. The shipped me a defective product with a large chip in the enamel by one handle, and a large scratch which went all the way through to the iron on the inside. While the shipping box was undamaged, the Le Creuset product box inside was also severely and obviously damaged. This means that Le Creuset failed to notice the faulty manufacture, failed to notice the damage to both the oven and box when putting the oven into the product box, and failed to notice the damage to the product box when packing it into the shipping box, or just did not care. This speaks volumes about Le Creuset’s quality control and attention to detail. When I attempted to get a replacement Le Creuset, who makes great marketing hay about their color selection, rather arrogantly told me that my color of choice was out of stock and that I should choose two other colors, one of which they would send, which speaks volumes about their customer service. I did not wish to spend Le Creuset prices and not get the Le Creuset color I ordered, and asked instead for a refund. I was told that I would get a refund in three to five business days. It is now ten business days from the date of their reply and my account still has not been credited to my account, nor have they replied to repeated inquiries. This speaks volumes about their ethics and business practices. Caveat emptor.

Looks like cuisinart sponsored this video.

My mother has two cast iron skillets she got in 1972 as a gift from her sister when her and my father got their first place. She still uses them to this day

  49. Mike L on April 14, 2022 at 7:04 pm

in the 2018 review the Cuisinart was quoted at around $80. 😡

  50. Michael Kaszynski on April 14, 2022 at 7:04 pm

Although there are merits to buying a brand new pot, one of the best things about LeCreuset is that it is incredibly durable enameled cast iron and someone will inherit it when you die. Because of that, the more affordable option is to buy a used piece for a fraction of the cost. I have a beautiful set and didn’t spend more than a hundred bucks for any of the pieces. eBay and garage/estate sales are the way to go unless you want the safety of the warranty and knowing you are the first owner.
