Since October 2021: For the remarkable2 most users need the cloud connect subscribtion which costs 8 Euros per month. Without it the usability is very limited (only files of the last 50days are synched, no email and screen sharing feature any more).
I purchased the Supernote based on the videos saying it was the best. I had it 8 days and its frozen. It has been a month and finally sending it back for a refund. I hope I get one! Very disappointed.
So which one of those three should I order 🤔 I need an e-notebook to organize all of my notebooks and studies in one place.
Has there been any cheaper options available? Xiaomi mijia is good but it doesn’t have memory.

I’m leaning toward the SuperNote but not being able to transfer without the jaggies makes me a little nervous. I can’t decide whether to go for the Note Air or wait a while longer and see if the SuperNote people get this straightened out…

It’s a shame that reMarkable has such limited features when it could easily have had way better functionality as well as its amazing pencil-on-paper feel. I was almost going to buy it but after doing some in depth research and seeing this review I’m glad I didn’t rush. I think it’s going to be the Supernote A5X for me.

can any of these devices have a wired connection option for those who do not tolerate WiFi radiation and/or does not live in an area with mobile connectivity??
I ordered the Supernote. I asked them for a student discount and I was lucky to find that they were still doing it. Canceling my Boox Air order, despite the free shipping, I cannot have any distractions. I wanted the R2 but I am not going to deal with a subscription model to access features.
Some shady practices: Boox will not give customers a full refund according to their return policy unless there’s a defect. I’m very upset to find that, and I am hoping to cancel my order in time, considering it’s still a business day.
I’m buying my wife one of these…. Which one should I get?

I find your videos very ifnormative. I wanted to ask you for a recommendation which one between RM 2 and supernote A5X would be more suitable to my purpose of getting this type of device.
my main use is to hopefully convert a checklist that I used when I’m doing audit/inspection. I used to print it and write my comments on each of the question. Now I have to type my comments and no longer able to submit the handwritten notes. I have to be able to get a clean copy of the checklist and submit it.
My other use is to write notes during inspection and convert them to text and copy and paste them to a report template. So I have to be ale to share or email my notes to myself.
Please let me know in your opinion which of the 2 devices would be suited for my intended use. Thank you

Thank you for the excellent reviews! But they didn’t quite convince me which tablet (ideally, of all, but at least of these three) is best for replacing a standard 0.5-0.7mm ballpoint pen and an A5 pad of paper to write text. I don’t do drawings or sketches (which it seems to me is what all note-taking tablets are optimized for), just normal size (is that about 11-12 point?) handwritten text and cursive handwriting. I don’t need templates. Searches are useful, as is exporting in ASCII text (although instead I could live with PDF editable with Acrobat Pro). There are other features in at least some tablets I also don’t need. I would appreciate advice from you folks here, thank you!

There is a I’ve heard described as a "ink" takes to dry (the delay of e-ink technology, that comes off as a lag experience to me) when writing on the air 2. When writing things seem slightly delayed. Does the Supernote have this?
Why not make and sell wired e-ink tablet with stylus to handwrite on tablet that display live strokes feedback on both computer screen and tablet screen with option to keyboard shortcut to auto convert handwriting to digital text. Optional premium ability to convert handwriting where words are written in different languages into digital text of different languages.
Can you try to speak to the security of these devices? Security is an issue for all devices and I am concerned with devices 100% from China.

Would love to buy the Boox Note but read quite a lot of forum posts about battery issues and that the service is limited to replace them. Who would expect expanding batteries in a tablet/reader ?!?!?!!?
