Dude, it’s a family hobby in my household. My dad and uncles are pushing 70 and, it’s mostly golf games now, or turned based rpgs, but then passion never dies.

I’m 40 now and love you and your stories. My life has been pretty much the same as your. But I was thinking about my 17 year old son when you said that you can do whatever you want and have fun, because he just play on his pc and doesn’t want to do anything else with his life. So that’s a pickle. When you said that I was thinking yea, maybe that’s right for him at the moment and just let him find out on his own. I don’t know. Anyways, thanks for a great video:)

  10. LUCAS NEIRA 7867 2019 on March 25, 2021 at 12:12 am

Age is just a stupid judgement that you shouldn’t be here
I prefer not to talk about my age because is my life I do what I do and THATS FINAL
    also I’m 20 but I look like I’m a 17 year old with a beard
Plus even young or old a least I don’t feel pain unlike other people.

Although when I get my college degree I would probably become a game designer as well

  23. Lohst on March 25, 2021 at 12:30 am

I thought I was a old at 20.. I’m almost 26… umm.. I’ll be 40 soon & my parents dead.. I’m scared of life now. It moves so quickly. I suffer from depression, I’m still overweight, live with my dad, work a wage slave security job making 14$ an hour… I’ll blink & be 40.. fuck.. is this all life is? I enjoy photography & videogames.. But i hardly do shit now. Just depressed beyond belief & to think I’ll be working all my life is just as depressing.

  24. L MJ on March 25, 2021 at 12:31 am

I am 40 years old working mom, and just started playing mobile games such as minecraft, call of duty, PUBG, Free Fire, PC Sims and few more random mobile games 😅.. its kinda fun activities to release my stress from work …

  25. psx2514 on March 25, 2021 at 12:32 am

I’m almost 40, and I’ve found that video games are more difficult for me to play than when I was younger because my reflexes have slowed down.

  26. elchippe on March 25, 2021 at 12:32 am

PC gaming in the 2000s hook me.

I’m forty years old and I just got a PS3. I also just played Chrono Trigger for the first time.

  31. John Ten on March 25, 2021 at 12:43 am

I am 1974 too (46 today), thanks for the great clips of old games… I bought PS4 Slim $299 about 3 weeks ago. I then purchased MK11 and trying to master Kitana because of my fondness of that character since 1994 MK2 arcade console days. Back in 1983, our school at Spring Branch district were affluent, they had a Apple IIC… yes, seriously in 1983! And my friend who dad is somebody with a big house, had a 1984 IBM PC at home!!…. we had Atari, Commadore 64,… for me personally, I bought a TI99/4A from a garage sale for $19. I program the shit out of it. It was fun. Data were recorded on F cassette tapes using audio soundwaves! LOL. Transformers were my favorite 3pm cartoon. You gotta mentioned the Saturday Matinee Kung Fu movies… I know a LOT people regardless of your race (black, asian, white, everyone) watch it…. LOL

  32. Miles Jeffrey on March 25, 2021 at 12:46 am

50 year old gamer video, soon

  34. Legend HCS on March 25, 2021 at 12:48 am

You’re getting closer and closer to 50 now bro. But awesome to see mature adults showing video games aren’t something meant specifically for kids. Im 26 with 2 kids and trying my heart out to go pro

  35. RETRORIDER on March 25, 2021 at 12:49 am

I just turned 40(1980) and I still look 20 years old! I love this hobby aside from motorcycles! I will never change!

  36. TedAnt A on March 25, 2021 at 12:49 am

    Amen brother!

  37. BulldozerBilly on March 25, 2021 at 12:51 am

We are very similar, and I think alot of gamers can relate. My nostalgia and memories, I remember specific years that things happened for me as a gamer and I’ll cherish those memories forever.
Funny, I too gave up toys and actions figures because I didn’t want to be embarrassed BUT video games filled that void and I’ll always be proud of my gaming experiences!

  38. NattoSumi on March 25, 2021 at 12:51 am

    HCG you rock man

  39. Wosop 666 on March 25, 2021 at 12:53 am

You don’t look good for your age

  40. ACGames on March 25, 2021 at 12:54 am

I just turned 32 and my wife helped me buy all the stuff I needed for my first legit gaming pc! I agree with you about time flying. I still remember playing my Nintendo and Super Nintendo with my cousin. It feels like that was just a couple years ago and it’s well over 20 years ago. Crazy. Now I get to play games with my kids

  41. solutionxero on March 25, 2021 at 12:55 am

    hot damn.

  42. Sorey on March 25, 2021 at 12:56 am

I also had the experience where almost everyone around me looked down on video games throughout my school years (including college) and beyond. I never had a lot of friends who liked games, but my two closest childhood friends were big JRPG fans like myself (in fact they got me into the genre), but they both eventually caved to pressure and stopped playing. I completely agree with the message and love the video.

  43. Punch Rockgroin on March 25, 2021 at 12:57 am

    Man, I love this guy.

  44. MitchG on March 25, 2021 at 12:58 am

I can’t believe this was 6 years ago. You look so young for 40 here.

  45. Ryan Monahan on March 25, 2021 at 12:59 am

I’m 48 and still love video games it brings me joy so why not. Probably will my whole lifetime. 🙂

  46. Hermanto Tovvhbjb on March 25, 2021 at 12:59 am

I’m 35 and still gaming. Gaming is not about age. It’s about fun and joy. No matter how old are you that doesn’t make you stop gaming. You can look the oldest gamer grandma. She is 90 years old. Chill dude.

  47. Fox Mulder on March 25, 2021 at 12:59 am

Love this video and can’t wait for the 50 year old gamer update!

  48. Olli in the Kitchen on March 25, 2021 at 1:01 am

Hold up. That was six years ago… what the fuck? I thought you were 35 or something like that. How the hell did you age so gracefully?!

  49. Victor Cruz on March 25, 2021 at 1:01 am

    Awesome message.
