You missed the Atom, that’s the smallest rugged phone.

  2. FriedEgg on March 23, 2021 at 2:27 am

I love this phone. I downgraded from a Note 10+. Since I bought a Surface Pro 7, I only need my phone as a hotspot, and to bluetooth music to my BTR5. But I’ve had a lot of fun putting nova launcher on this phone and making it look super cute.

  12. TUNAsnAK on March 23, 2021 at 2:38 am

    Compare it to iPhone SE.

  13. Andrew Oakley on March 23, 2021 at 2:41 am

Perfect for my 11-year-old boy, his previous 5.5" phone kept falling out of his pocket! Also reasonably ruggedised – survived drops onto vinyl floor from 1.5 metres and immersion in basin of water for 20 seconds.

  14. Yan Yory on March 23, 2021 at 2:42 am

Nice! I was looking for something like this for long time. Ideal as second phone – for activities, cycling etc. Missing headphone jack doesn´t seems to me like something tragic, if phone is outdoor device (water/dust/mud/..resistant), jack gap could be gate for dirt. Provided that (question for Redskull) – Is possible use usb-c head phones or adapter usb-c/jack for music listening? I suppose so. Thank you, Jiri, Czech.

  15. Liberty Prime on March 23, 2021 at 2:43 am

Hi, will this phone work with USB-C to 3.5mm DAC?

  16. Emek F on March 23, 2021 at 2:44 am

Hi! Do you know if it’s OTG compatible?

  17. PINK USER on March 23, 2021 at 2:45 am

The removal of jack is still happening.

  18. lopwidth on March 23, 2021 at 2:48 am

Why always bs. Make a 4.5" phone already. Why it has to be 3.5-4" too small, or 5.5-876543" too big. Sweetspot is 4.3-5.2" 16:9

  39. Juan Fernandez on March 23, 2021 at 3:04 am

Wow! Un telefono resistente en miniatura! aun asi, me iria a por el modelo Blackview BV9900 PRO! Que de por si es mucho mas compacto que la mayoria de telefonos de este tipo!

  41. Ante Barać on March 23, 2021 at 3:10 am

Great phone!! If it had battery of 4000mAh and a fingerprint scanner I would buy it NOW!!

  42. Charlie Keaton on March 23, 2021 at 3:10 am

I bought this phone on Aliexpress for $100. Would not achieve 3G after 15 days of troubleshooting and going back and forth with Cubot and my carrier. The size and ruggedness was exactly what I was looking for. I went from a Blackview rugged phone to this b/c I wanted a "normal" size phone again that didn’t look like a full size book in my pocket. But after struggling with the King Kong Mini 2 , I am happy to be back in my bulky Blackview phone. As soon as I popped my sim card back in my old phone, I was right back to 4G LTE. During my 1/2 month with the King Kong Mini 2 I could barely use apps once I left wifi (Google maps, Spotify, Social Media, etc.) Also, the battery life was poor. I thought the small screen and overall tiny size would save battery but it didn’t. I am not a heavy phone user (half the time I don’t even know where my phone is) and this phone at times didn’t make it through a full day. Lastly, the touchscreen was much more stubborn than what I am used to. I would have to touch/click on something several times for it to take. Overall, it was everything I dreamed of taking it out of the box, until I turned it on and started using it. I guess trying to engineer quality that todays phones have into something this tiny just isn’t possible quite yet, at least not for Cubot. My next phone I try out will be the Ulefone Armor X7 Pro (5" screen). It is not as small as the King Kong Mini 2 but it is not a giant phablet either. Hope my experience helps anyone looking to get into the smaller rugged phone arena.

Ace 2, my old little friend… it’s time for you to retire.

  46. Birute Sinjab on March 23, 2021 at 3:14 am

If I will buy from Chinia this TELEPHONE "Cubot Kingkong Mini", IT WILL WORK IN LITHUANIA (EUROPE) OR NOT (internet, SIM etc..)?

  47. joshua on March 23, 2021 at 3:14 am

I don’t recommend this phone. Bought it and the SD card in the settings was showing double the size. Tried another, same problem. Spotify wouldn’t recognize any SD card inserted. Waste of money, just buy a proper phone instead.

  48. Sinter on March 23, 2021 at 3:19 am

I had the Cubot King Kong for almost 2 years now,and i love this phone but i started to look for something that’s capable of 4g. I was thinking about the King Kong 3, but now that i found this exist there’s no question what i’m gonna buy…. The Original King Kong is really good phone for the ones who doesn’t wanna run fancy programs and/or games, and the ones who don’t wanna care about their phone…. it took like 2500-3000 drops to break the screen, and it broke on a sharp stone sticking out from concrete…. I love that phone, its totally waterproof,i even made underwater footage with it under the sea…. This is a pretty good unknown brand with very reasonable prices,if you are looking to buy a cubot,i can definitely say i would recommend buying it.
