Thank you for this information. I am about to start my RV journey, and very much interested in finding a good way to have solid internet and cell phone use. Have you watched the YouTube Channel called "We Can Explore It"? Nick who owns the channel is selling a system for cell and router connection called Insty Connect. He invented the system and it looks really good. I would value your opinion of his product, should you be able to test it. Thank you again, and I really enjoy your how to video’s.
Good video as usual. For us dry campers with limited solar and limited lithium batteries the 12VDC dongle would be a yyuugge benefit so my inverter isn’t running constantly. With this I’m holding out for a all-in one Drive reach/WIFI hot-spot I can run cell phones and a local WIFI from one box… I have a ZTE MAX Connect hot-spot but would only support a cell phone if connected via USB cable which is a bummer and never used.
Any chance this would support a something like a combo?
BTW- whenever I run cables from the top I route via the fridg. vent down where I have access to secure cables via the side access door, and typically around the floor behind drawers. I have phobias about drilling into roofs.
Tito, thanks for a nice broad view of these products. Any take on "grounding" that pole? We camp a lot in parts of the desert that have frequent lightning strikes, so I’m wondering if you’ve heard/read anything on how dangerous the extendable poles are in an off grid RV situation.
Thanks for the review, great explanations! One question since you have the Destination and Reach models… Can you use the Destination inside antenna in place of the table top antenna that comes with the Reach to get better coverage inside the RV? Thanks Brian!
can you put the antenna from the drive reach on the pole? that would raise it up and maybe come closer to the gain that the other one has?
You can also use mtn tops, to get signal. Ghosts can sometimes help.
Swing it and look for the best signal. Small adjustments can be a big help. Drive up and get additional elevation if possible. Elevation helps a lot.

I just read an article about drive reach RV or drive x reach but thought I saved it? Can’t find it. But he was hooked up to 12 volt..really plug and play..do you know what one it was? It wasn’t a stationary one.thanks
Hey Tito, I love all your videos!! I have a question for you, I know what you use to boost your phone signal from the videos, but what you do you use for internet while on the road? My family and I are getting a motorhome Class A and plan on being on the road and visiting different places since we haven’t been able to before. I’m going to probably use my phone(We have T-Mobile) for GPS while we drive since that’s what I use while driving in the city(or is this a bad idea?). Please let me know and thanks!!
Great info! You mention the upload speed is different between this model and the reach RV… How much is the difference? I do a lot of uploading since I do online ESL teaching and my hotspot works good as a back up when my home internet fails. I want to buy one of these for the RV and was wondering now if this model would be better than the reach

I have combined a Yagi (directional exterior antenna) and an indoor panel antenna from an older home Wilson cell booster I had with a WeBoost 4GX. I constructed an antenna pole from two lengths of 1” PVC screwed together. (Stored in my rear bumper). I attached the pole with Velcro straps to two suction mounted bathroom grab bars mounted to the side of our motor home. Camping at the Okefenokee swamp in Georgia our T-Mobile phones showed no service, ATT we had one bar intermently. Using my booster setup we receive a decent T-Mobile signal, good for calls and email. The ATT signal became consistent and strong enough to stream videos. The indoor panel antenna provided boosted signal the full length of our 24’ Class C MH. Your videos are some of the best. Thanks

Thanks for the great review! By the way, do you know how far away can you be from a 4G cell tower and still get a signal? Asking because I have a boondocking site in mind, but the nearest cell tower is 25 miles away from there.
If I can get signal that far away, I would strongly consider buying one of these boosters…

The telescoping pole reminded me of a portable antenna system we had in the Air Force.
I have extensive long term experience with weboost at home and with my rv. I live in rural agricultural part of florida where there is no internet so I have been on 4g for 6+ years.
I did the chicken dance with patch antennas and yagi antennas and directional antennas and concluded that with cell carries randomly shutting down towers for service it was not my cup of tea. I use omni antennas on both my rv and at my house. No fuss, no setup and it just works. Granted I am using weboost trucker antennas so they are even stronger than their regular home/rv antennas.
On my 3rv I have 3 omni antennas. 2 for 4g router modem and 1 for cell.
If you’re boondocking,even with people nearby,who have WI-FI,Anyone,you still have to get their password.
Next year Starlink will be mobile. I currently have it and can’t wait to get one for my RV.

Brian, you may already know this, if you can not get your NEW Yagi up high enough, you can connect your drive reach or other "candy bar" size antenna as the inside antenna to create the isolation needed for the booster to operate correctly. ( as long as the impedance 50 ohm or 75 ohm)
I often must do this when the winds are high or some other condition limits getting the antenna up as high as it needs.

I was interested until I saw the box with the pole. My RV is a 23-foot fifth wheel. There’s nowhere to store that thing. Good review, though, thanks.
You should be able to use this while driving if you use your Omni directional then from your old system.💪

Hi Brian, how about doing a test between the the two booster! By switching out both set of antennas. Use the drive boost antennas on the destination RV and vice versa and see the results!
Nice use of the CR-V picnic table. An underrated, sometimes missed benefit of the CR-V toad.
Could you not switch to the omni-directional antenna during travels? I used an older model weboost with both of them at my old house. I had an omni first (due to different cell carriers) and the family switched later to 1 single carrier and I switched to a directional antenna.
Can a directional antenna work as effectively for the Drive Reach versus the Omnidirectional provided?

Did you get a better signal with the stationary setup over the drive reach? Also do you use a wifi booster to grab free wifi? If so which unit would u recommend?
