I played few runthroughs on Chaos Break back in the days. I wouldn’t put it in the same league as Resident Evil, but I’d consider it an interesting game nevertheless.

Hearing them praise the PAL cases makes me cringe. Good luck storing them… It’s a pain in the ass.
You should definitely look into Sega Saturn Imports! Especially with the 1M and 4M RAM carts that max out the consoles capability. Alot of the arcade fighting ports are much better that the playstation. Dreamcast is also really good for imports!

They should’ve released all of those games, as well as many games from Japan on the PS1. I wish they never released or created the platformers like Spyro, or Crash. In fact, you can blame Bernie Stolar for wanting mostly America and European made games to come out here on the PS1 and that they have to be in 3D.

King’s Field was a Japanese-only ARPG released in 1994. For the time, notably on a console, it was rare, if not unique. Great series if you’re into moody atmosphere, exploration, and challenge. From Software game.

Thinking of buying a PS1 console. But Im confused about Region lock, is the North American Version region locked as well? Can I run Original Japanese PS1 games? (The only reason I want the PS1 is because of the Awesome JRPG library). Please help.

I don’t know if you read these comments but I know a game you might not have for the ps1 which is VERY expensive and also a jaoanese exclusive called “serial experiments lain” it sells for about $400 dollars.

I’m a n64 kid but I had a playstation and played tons of games on it but I have to admit, the ps1 had too many great games, they definately trumped the n64 library even though I still think the n64 aged a lot better and had better quality gameplay in the games
Maybe kind of late but have you seen PAL-Region Dreamcast games? Most of the NTSC cases I see look like regular jewel cases and we got those thick (0.8+ in) special Dreamcast-branded cases that are meant to hold multiple discs even if the release only had one. And they fit a pretty thick manual, usually around 130 -150 pages.
