In Sonic Mania all you need to do is swap RGB channels – the red channel with the blue channel.

  3. vtecx626 on February 9, 2022 at 10:14 pm

By the time this is fully playable the PS4 will cost $40 and games will be $5.

  11. Rockport1911 on February 9, 2022 at 10:26 pm

I heard that PS3 was especially hard to emulate, maybe PS4 is better/ easier on the PC hardware? At this pace playbale AAA titles hould be just a few years away…
Time to start gathering ROMS now 🙂

  12. Bauer on February 9, 2022 at 10:30 pm

PS4 most likely way easier to emulate than the ps3, but still there is lots of power needed to.

  13. James wickham on February 9, 2022 at 10:30 pm

Funny we have all this power being wasted and we’re not supposed to use it for the so called greater good!

  14. GTA IV on February 9, 2022 at 10:31 pm

  19. dqwn :o on February 9, 2022 at 10:36 pm

i wonder what they system requirements will be for PS4 emulation when it’s ready and playable.

  20. Grim Reaper AlphaX on February 9, 2022 at 10:37 pm

Interesting, but big problem with emulators is a need for very high PC spec, especially when we are talking about PS4 and even PS3 emulator.
Of course you dont need a really powerfull pc if you wanna play PS2 or PS1 games, because req for this emulators are not especially high, and they are developed trough many years so 99% of games runs flawless.
With PS3 emulator need for PC power rise like crazy, and for PS4 emulator you need high end gaming PC that cost at least 20 times more then PS4 lol,so purpose is lost here in general.
And if you have money to build this kind of desktop, you also have money to buy PS4 and play games in a comfort without bugs and framerate problems.
Maybe in 10 years or so PS4 emulator would have more sense.
If we are talking about real numbers rpcs3 which is a PS3 emulator and they are working on it in quite some time, you need at least 12 threads cpu to even try to run it,and games would run like crap, massive below 30 fps which makes the experience bad and not even worth it.
You need i9 or newest generation i7 to run it,or Ryzen 9 with lots of cores/threads and high clock to stay at 30fps,and also most of the games currently are not supported…so we need to wait many years for this.

  21. steve Moza on February 9, 2022 at 10:38 pm

Emulation is the best thing since sliced bread, invention of the wheel. One of my favourite games Mario Kart not only runs better on my PC, but looks better in 4k to the point it is a stunning looking game. Donkey kong country is another. If you own the game and purchased it then playing it via another device I do not class as piracy.

  22. Chris Jarram on February 9, 2022 at 10:39 pm

That’s right folks – it’s here. But a PSOne emulator genuinely looks better 👍

  23. Patato2 on February 9, 2022 at 10:40 pm

there is one that works , but it’s just the source code i think , you need to build the BIOS and all that yourself
find it strange that some pc enthusiast didn’t build this already and put it on the net …
where are you ? how much longer do we have to wait ?

  24. Rockport1911 on February 9, 2022 at 10:41 pm

Looks good, for widespread use this needs an easy way to run on windows and basically work like RPCS3 does 🙂

  25. Ikon FN on February 9, 2022 at 10:42 pm

good thing i bought a linux pc at xmas haha 🙂

  26. Sou_Desu on February 9, 2022 at 10:43 pm

    Nice painting chad

  27. TagadaYt on February 9, 2022 at 10:44 pm

    0/20 la video + ratio

  28. goldmemberpb on February 9, 2022 at 10:47 pm

If a switch emulator requires more than a gtx 1650 to run, I cant imagine how much of a beast your pc has to be to run a ps4 emulation. We will probably have to wait a decade before this is truly viable.

  29. Tony Haboush on February 9, 2022 at 10:47 pm

The purpose of making a fake website it’s probably to get traffic to make money off of it obviously if it looks legit so many people will click on it the more downloads the more money you’ll make but eventually people need to report that if it’s still fake

  30. Maru Misu on February 9, 2022 at 10:47 pm

I wouldn’t be surprised if Sony was the one behind all emulators considering how slow their emulation seems to come out. I mean we had switch emulation pretty close to the switch launch and ps3 and vita emulation are lagging behind.

  31. dtv20 on February 9, 2022 at 10:49 pm

In my opinion, emulation is only piracy if the game being emulated can be bought and played in two button clicks.

  32. Rockport1911 on February 9, 2022 at 10:51 pm

Yes emulators are gateways to piracy, but its not like a PC gamer wants a seperate console or that consoles are readely available now. Preserving old games is also great.
Also adding features that you can only do with an emulator is important for many ( patches, mods, more resolution, debuggers…)

  33. Rackneh on February 9, 2022 at 10:53 pm

People against emulation are elitists spoiled brats.

Billions of people around the world can’t afford to buy every game they want to play.

  34. You are a Coward! on February 9, 2022 at 10:53 pm

Great, even more damage on the already weakened and almost destroyed economy.

  35. Chris Kepu on February 9, 2022 at 10:54 pm

Is there a PS4 XMB emulator so we can join PS4 chat party rather than remote play to a physical console? That’s what I’ll be interested in. This is pretty good though, Spine.

  36. Derik Böhlau on February 9, 2022 at 10:56 pm

Just realized we’ll be able to play P.T again

  37. Diandredofus on February 9, 2022 at 10:56 pm

Imagine calling x86 code running on an x86 machine using a POSIX OS "emulation".

That’s like me running my 90s games on DOSBOX and calling it emulation.

  38. National Forest Bigfoot on February 9, 2022 at 10:57 pm

The purpose for a fake PCSX4 download would be to distribute a stealth-install bitcoin miner that feeds the bitcoin account of the domain owner. Ocean Of Games did that for years in every single game on their site.

  39. Attila RZA on February 9, 2022 at 10:59 pm

So looking at the games, this is a PS2 emulator still

  40. Hatta Zulzila on February 9, 2022 at 11:00 pm

As long as Sony refuses to implement backwards compatibility for their consoles, this will continue to persist.

In my case, it’s already too late for Sony to score any points with me since I already wasted a lot of my time and money on them in the past.

By the time they announce the inevitable announcement of the PS6 (and scalped by scalpers, again) I’ll be having too much fun playing the games I actually want to play without stupid censorship or other inane restrictions on PC using Steam.

  41. Volts PC on February 9, 2022 at 11:01 pm

based on some research it looks like GNM/GNMX is very similar to DX as to its design and how it operates, wouldn’t be surprised if Spine is using a heavily modified DX11 to OpenGL translation layer

  42. Kiril Karaatanasov on February 9, 2022 at 11:03 pm

it is probably more of a virtualization than emulation since both systems are x86 so they need to virtualize the PS4 hardware and map it to the PC hardware….

I suppose the game code itself can run directly on the CPU.

It is interesting that PS4 uses AMD GPU and probably they try to map this onto OpenGL or other GPU API

  43. J Williams on February 9, 2022 at 11:04 pm

What version of linux is he running?

  44. Problematic Bitch on February 9, 2022 at 11:04 pm

this will be playable by the time the ps6 is released

  45. Ray Getard on February 9, 2022 at 11:08 pm

Let me know when it can run tlou

  46. Ahmad Hafian on February 9, 2022 at 11:09 pm

To be fair, if the author did it open source, sony would fix it after 1-2 patches.

  47. Shisuko on February 9, 2022 at 11:10 pm

My PS3 is currently held together by sheer will and duct-tape.
I got PS3 games which I ripped myself, thus I’m in the legal zone.
Preservation will always be the reason as to why I support emulation, it’s a must if we want to preserve the art of gaming.

  48. Maximum on February 9, 2022 at 11:10 pm

    PS4 emulator has no gaems

  49. Preceyese Seyeght on February 9, 2022 at 11:11 pm

PCSX2 is a PS2 Emulator, not PS1. ePSXe is PS1 and PSXfin for example.
You act like an Emulator Guru, but you don’t know about this ??

  50. Bromkle on February 9, 2022 at 11:12 pm

    piracy is awesome though
