I have Tinnitus…
What a great story
Amazing video, someone please list the equipment featured in this room. I can’t figure out the spelling of the electronics manufacturer.🙏🙏
Ken did not listen to any to of the nay-sayers. Through design and testing, he built an incredible system that allowed him to not only listen to, but to feel the music that few will ever get to experience. There are few in this world that are so talented and I’m thrilled as an viewer and a lover of great music, to get to be a small part of this presentation. Thank you Ken. All of your efforts are greatly appreciated.
i’d probably knock one of these things over and watch it break in half
My Iphone sounds pretty good tho, the airpods are damn good.
What a cute gentlemen. Well his HiFi system is as American as it can be and it wouldn’t be my cup of tea but I am sure it sounds well. However there are two things that really impresses me. First: This guy is not a HiFi professional (whatever that is) but he is not at all telling BS or snakeoil sound theories. Not anybody might like his concept but I am sure that everybody with HiFi knowledge can agree that it makes sense and it is consistent.
The other thing I really like is what he said multiple times: "If It wouldn’t work I would tell myself it works coz I can’t change it any more" and this is so true for everybody who builds his own stereo, but most are not honest or brave enough to say it.
I hope there are many more years to come where he can enjoy his music.
Bless him.
All that then the guy nearly drops the camera.
The Krell world
Beautiful
Beautiful story
I got an Aiwa 3 disc system that would blow this away
damn. good job man. 🙂
i would give anything to listen to WAP on this system. lucky fella…
Audiophile fanatics are the stupidest people on the planet.
ken..i just want to tell you how much youve impressed me with what you have achieved with this life given to you….your family..the workshops..the house ..all the amazing things you built and of course that room and all that is in it…you my friend are the epitome of a life well lived….yes i know that no one is perfect and we all bugger up but i really hope you are proud of all you have….cheers Ty from s.oz
You can tell this man is passionate about what he does & he knows what’s up. Holy shit this is amazing. I wish I could hear it
I wanted to have a system and a house just like yours Ken, but just like what you said about the clock, we’re different and have to shine with what we have, and I will. Your life story is a blessing and remind to keep in touch with time now. Thank you for inspiring me. Much love from Philippines!
Steve Martin has a Google Phonic Stereo with a Moonrock needle……………………………sounds like shit.
How is this a stereo system with three locations of sound radiation?
This is just mental illness really, isn’t it?
I have 4kw RMS bass on a 6KW amp in my basement. Credit to all the work he put in to that project.
Truly amazing
Well, I didn’t plan on crying to a damn stereo documentary but here I am on my lunch break, in the parking lot. 😂
Here I am listening to music on 25$ bluetooth headphones
that turntable is the audio version of a hypercar
Thank you for the super fast reply on the discography. After numerous searches I was able to find maybe…the only two used CDs of which were located in Germany. Your detailed description of the CD confirms just what a professional you are and the kind of person you are. You exemplify the Best of the Best! Thank you Ken…you are an INSPIRATION!
I wonder what material the baffles are made out of🧐
Addiction takes many forms people
So this is one excellent video, and congrats to Ken Fritz to his persistence and dedicaction to excellence, the pursuit of audio perfection. The actual units featured such as Krell have now, 2021, a more dynamic, more realistic and even less distorting , higher resolving competition, that brings people closer to the realism of the performance. I’d put any of the AAVIKs, starting with C380-M380 to the new 580 series,AYRE ACOUSTIC, VAC, SOULUTION, CH PRECISION, ZANDEN electronic on the exploration map. For straming, LINN’s KLIMAX DSM GEN 3 will deliver details, depth and musical authority thtat the Oppo can’t. And that leads to the conundrum:, which is best embraced instead of fought: There is always an upgrade around the corner. Congratulation, and enjoy the music.
Anyone know what CD the Swan Lake music came from?
Ken get your daughter to get you on TikTok . After 1000 subscribers, link your TikTok back to your YouTube. People on TikTok will love content about your sound system . blessings!
Don’t rush your dreams he said. My stereo set up is modular because I’m always tinkering with different speakers, enclosures, and amps. It just keeps getting better. I don’t know how people can build something and not think about improvements.
…but is there Bluetooth?
The World seems to be obsessed by celebrities, athletes, influencers, individuals that contribute absolutely nothing at the end of the day. This man is smart, humble and incredibly driven. Worthy of our admiration.
Awe inspiring!
They sound great through my iPhone speakers!!
We are still free enough to buy what we want. As long as its worth it to the individual. Its fun when other people become obsessive.
Much respect.
this gave me a serious audio boner
I like it I’ve got two 8 foot towers in my basement nothing wrong with striving for perfection
What a technically well rounded man!! This is fascinating!
Thank you sir!
…ok. I made it sixteen minutes in; gonna keep watching because this is absurd. This is an hour of a guy talking specs? Anyway, I got my dads old Cerwin Vegas and they sound fuckin’ great!
I have watched this 3X already and each time I come away with something different and more valuable. I sent this to my grandson not for the content of the sound system but for the INSPIRATIONAL aspects that Ken so eloquently delivers. I’ll be 81 in February…still going, still inspired, still working on my sound system and my Giant Hosta garden.
this is sad.

Unfortunately it takes time to realize that there is no substitute for, – time..
I still remember the first time I heard a stereo system that sounded live. It was a Supertramp song. From now on. I was 13, the year was 1972. I’ve been a music/stereo nut ever since.
What a great, moving story. All the best, sir!
