In this video, you will learn about the most reliable appliance brands for 2022 based on over 40,000 service calls completed by our service department just last year. However, reliability isn’t just about buying an appliance that will never need service, it’s about buying from an appliance dealer that services what they sell, or from a brand that has competent service technicians in your area.
If you buy a whole kitchen, there is a good chance you will need service. Bosch, Thermador, and GE’s lines have the best technician support and part availability, at least in Boston. Your area could be different.
Most appliance brands, unlike automobile manufacturers, offer minimal service. Finding competent service should be part of your buying decision, along with price, installation, and delivery.
However, Depending on where you live, you should not buy or consider some of the brands on this list because they have little or no service when there is a problem.

Looking at the ge cafe series gas stove and matching counter flush fridge are they good appliances ✌️🇨🇦
Bosch is pretty darn good in my book. Also, from what I understand, Speed Queen does NOT make them like they used to. A couple of years ago, people were scrambling to get the last of the original made versions before the new, less sturdy designs came out.
Funny about the LG dishwashers. Bought one as a replacement for the GE lost in a catastrophic total loss wildfire. The dishwasher cost $1200 and take 2.5 hours to complete its cycle, using no heat element, relying on hot water and obscene amounts of Jet Dry to get the dishes dry. Can’t stand this dishwasher and miss the old GE which did a fabulous job in spite of being over 8 years old. When rebuilding our contents after the fire, we went with LG across the board. Kitchen, laundry, TV/electronics. BAD decision. Should have researched each item and purchased accordingly.
I’m in the market for a new French door refrigerator, but I do not want counter depth and unfortunately I have a tight 33” space. My best options looked like GE, Samsung, or LG- and I was leaning toward GE. We would like an exterior ice dispenser, which greatly limits our options due to availability. Any other advice for me before I choose?
So I’m on the right track with considering a GE Profile package. Enjoyed the information. Thanks ❗❗❗
What’s your take on Electrolux ?
I can’t believe that Kitchenaid is on this list. They must have had a total reworking since I purchased our kitchen 5 years ago.
How did Bosch do this year? They made the list last year
Yes digital on GE not reliable
Laundry ge is good but only when not digital thats mainly with anything i find myself repairing….DONT GET THE FANCY ONE PEOPLE
How would you rate Bluestar as far as reliability?
Thanks!
I heard Sterling dishwashers are good but can’t find parts
Speed Queen excellent the new ones in laundry credit card sys doesn’t work well
Is Thermador really better than Wolf? That is surprising.
my all whirlpool gold appliances have been flawless for 9+ years now. bought them at a great price at sears. way less $$ than german appliances. i wouldn’t even think of buying lucky goldstar appliances, that’s just dumb.
