EQUIPMENT I USED TO MAKE THESE RECORDINGS

– Soundman Dummy Head “John” made of MDF (but mine prefers to go by the name Alfredo)
– Soundman OKM II Studio w/ A3 adapter
– RME Babyface (original, not pro)
– MacBook Pro
– Ableton Live 9
– JBL Tools iPhone App
– Audio is recorded as 24/96 WAVs and rendered at 96K. YouTube automatically downsamples everything to 44.1K.
– The music files I use are the highest available that the record label or artist could provide me with.
– Permissions to use these files are obtained either from the record label (who has received approval from the artist) or directly from the artist, depending on who owns the rights to the music, or who I have access to.

  8. Fred Howland on November 29, 2020 at 7:44 pm

Is it just me or does it sound like crap?

  9. Ron Goodman on November 29, 2020 at 7:44 pm

Put all this circus behind a black gauze curtain and compare it to Klipcsh La Scalas or Tannoy Canterburys’ even with cheap two tube pre and a nice quiet AB solid state power amp with a mid level Maranzt CD player behind the same gauze and I will bet listeners will prefer the much cheaper system.

  10. Cesar Rodolfo Hernández Gómez on November 29, 2020 at 7:45 pm

It sounds exaclty like the computer where I´m listening to this.

  11. Hard Knock on November 29, 2020 at 7:45 pm

I can make a tone arm out of a drumstick> wow, I made a engine mount out of your drum sticks too for my sevelor raft. Trolling motor mount. Nice use of the wood. Pretty amazing system. Sound is delicate . Very good through a iPad..

  12. HUGO MEJÍA on November 29, 2020 at 7:46 pm

  13. Great Guy on November 29, 2020 at 7:48 pm

Sounds very distorted to me! I don’t know what you hear, but I wouldn’t spend a million bucks for this subprime sound experience!

  14. spokes28 on November 29, 2020 at 7:48 pm

It’s just a shame that all that gear can’t be tucked away behind that beautiful wall…

  15. Holger Nord on November 29, 2020 at 7:49 pm

Well done on the details! Not sure, though, why custom made is automatically taken as a seal of quality d’ "extra ordinaire"; only because of the price tag? And yes, envy is part of this comment, too!!!

  16. Garegh62 on November 29, 2020 at 7:54 pm

Why am I listening to this teenager with a sub $100 sound system on her computer tell me about a $1,000,000.00 system?

  17. Regular Guy Audio on November 29, 2020 at 7:56 pm

Play some pink floyd on it.

  23. itsruf1 on November 29, 2020 at 8:02 pm

When listening to classical / symphony it is common to hear the pages turning. Like the violin guy softly turns his music page. And if you are 3 sheets to the wind, at home, you actually hear where the guy is seated at during recording. Yes, I’ll look over at a lamp in my living room. Occasionally are words in 60’s 70’s songs you didn’t know was there. Robert Plant says something you never heard in your car ever. Nothing in my home can be loose on a shelf if I play Great White.

  24. Garegh62 on November 29, 2020 at 8:02 pm

    It’s all bragging rights

  25. DJ BOND on November 29, 2020 at 8:06 pm

    Si sente malissimo

  28. blackcatsarenopussies on November 29, 2020 at 8:07 pm

    Amazing system, nice job.
However, I would have liked the owner playing some real, everyday music that makes sense. Plenty of audiophile quality albums/artists

  29. E A on November 29, 2020 at 8:08 pm

Funny to "listen" to a million dollar audio setup in the speaker of my Huawei

  30. Jeffrey Wilke on November 29, 2020 at 8:08 pm

  34. G E E B S on November 29, 2020 at 8:12 pm

So seeing the hardware and equipment is pretty neat, so that’s pretty cool, but like… Unless you’re listening to this on like HD 660’s or something through a dac amp half the cost of the headphones, I doubt you’ll get close to the actual sound quality of the setup being shown. YouTube’s audio compression doesn’t help either lol.

  35. itsruf1 on November 29, 2020 at 8:14 pm

dumb fact: Many tube amps use the EL34 tube. Meaning the base size and pins. EVH liked Ruby. "Rubies" He blew them all the time. Those were made in Russia for the war. They/ Ruby brand made zillions of them and are still available. Millions are warehoused. Good ones are about $100ea. My Cary V12 requires 12 duh. The "warm and crunchy" you get is sound is typical of Van Halen’s early amps. Audiophiles change around brands depending on taste. Your local garage band likely has EL34 of some brand or another. Guitar guys fully understand if you ask. They may have extras on them. Bands like AC/DC keep their gain and voltage high and may replace 20 tubes per night for the next show. Those amps above are a E280 tube?. Very similar.

  36. Noel Solares on November 29, 2020 at 8:15 pm

Now play some lofi hip-hop on it. lol

  37. Sammy South on November 29, 2020 at 8:18 pm

hey bud for a million bucks why not invite the band?

  38. Craig Hollabaugh on November 29, 2020 at 8:18 pm

  42. Mark Kelly on November 29, 2020 at 8:22 pm

What a colossal waste of money. A fool and his money are easily parted. Hideous speakers and a typical audiophile shitty taste in music

    Kids today,
Alexa play Wap on dads stereo……

  47. Brian Malik on November 29, 2020 at 8:29 pm

i havent heard any other of your reviews but its impossible to make any judgement from a room recording of the system without first hearing the music directly so some kind of base line can be established as a reference. So i have no idea what im listening to. The first track dislpayed what sounds like a nasty low freq resonance of the room. I bet if you pink noised the spot where your dummy head was, there would be a big chunk of low end resonance. The second song sounded way too live. But its impossible to tell if it was the recording or the room. You MUST offer the original tracks directly first and then offer the room recording for there to be any type of subjective comparison of the system.

  48. Bam Bam on November 29, 2020 at 8:30 pm

If i paid a million I’d get integrated bluetooth.

No matter how good it may sound, 1 Million is just nonsense.
