Hey, I’m thinking of getting this laptop. Do you still recommend it? I’m looking at the 1080p version, how long do you think the battery will last for web browsing?

Do you have any other recommendations for durable laptops?

  6. Hydra on January 16, 2022 at 4:20 pm

I have that laptop and it crashes at least once a week

When I bought the G4 I was very irritated with the touchpad. I wonder if that has improved? When clicking the "nipple buttons", as you call them, turned off the touchpad cursor and always caused a significant, productivity-diminishing pause and clicking-inaccuracies. And the other issue was that a tiny bit of water, like half a droplet, could render the touchpad dysfunctional for around an hour or so. And the fingerprint reader did not work properly forcing to use the PIN or password to login. Even as a consumer, I would not buy a different notebook though.

what is nipple button btw, never heard of that

  11. Digital Sam on January 16, 2022 at 4:26 pm

Why when u do battery hours tests… u say its 9hrs at 30% brightness. Nobody ever uses a laptop at 30% brightness. Give an actual real world figure (which would be at arpund 80% brightness) and the laptop probably runs for abput 4hrs or so …

The only deal breaker for me is no dedicated charging port… (1 less tb port usable)

I just got an M1 MacBook Pro for my video photo side but I still miss my Intel x86 for business side & special x86 apps Mac won’t do. I grew up on the ThinkPad eraser track button. Loved it. I wanna hold out for the new X1 Titanium but like the compact detachable.

you pay the extra money so the hinges won’t break after a year and half .. (I had the idea pad, stopped working shortly after warranty expired – nice while it worked but built flimsy)

  22. ardo on January 16, 2022 at 4:36 pm

i dont get the appeal, their specs are overpriced just seems like a status symbol for branding not actual value for a business user , i go to lenovos website and their base models you raise the ram and its far more than what you can upgrade yourself same goes for other components

  23. Golden Games on January 16, 2022 at 4:37 pm

    Lefties Rock!🤙
