For those that don’t understand why some people disagree with this movie is the fact that for many years the media, Hollywood and more never represented black women in a better and healthy way. Hollywood and the media better start representing black women in a great or better ways. They should stop representing black women as depressed all the time, angry, never in a great relationship and more bs like they always do. I am sick and tired of movies like this. It is time for a change.

  14. Rivers Bliss on March 12, 2021 at 1:38 am

Another movie trope, if it’s not the struggling black woman, the token black friend who is 2D, it’s the sassy black girl.

  15. latonya mathis on March 12, 2021 at 1:38 am

Why we have to always be going through a struggle but some of these issues need to be addressed this is all real life things that go on in people’s lives

  16. JaNee Hunter on March 12, 2021 at 1:39 am

I see a lot of comments of why we have to always be represented in this way but from watching the movie for my own perspective it was a great movie. A lot of tears, laughs, and life lessons. Definitely gems was being dropped in the movie. I know for me I definitely saw myself in a few characters and it made me feel like when I look at Issa Rae show “Insecure” real life things that happen and you have your closest people to be there and to help you get through no matter what. Great job Tamara (writing the movie) and Megan (directing movie) you’ll did a great job and it was nice to see unfamiliar actors that was getting their chance to shine, YOU’LL DID A GREAT JOB👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

  17. Shermain M on March 12, 2021 at 1:40 am

I throughly enjoyed this movie it’s a great representation of black women all shades and hair types. The story/plot was meaningful it’s realistic and mirrors life. I don’t want to be lied to with a representation of life that’s inaccurate. 5/5 stars for me.

Megan good brought me here 💁🏾‍♀️

  22. mwarnsle on March 12, 2021 at 1:50 am

YA’LL. You realize these are almost mirror-images to the "chick flicks" they push out with yt women, right? 1. They’re just framed as "romantic comedies" and 2. there’s dozens more of them every year. Same topics, same problems, (surprisingly) same class of people.

Setting this trailer to some vague spiritual beat just hits different.
…and yes, I did click for Meagan

  23. Victor Hardin on March 12, 2021 at 1:50 am

❤️🤗 I’m so glad BLack People {Especially BLack Women} are FINALLY getting the chance to show who we are & addressing the Struggles we are constantly facing…
For far too long we have mostly seen the stereotypical portrayals that put us in a negative light.
Meagan Good is an Extraordinary Actress. I am definitely looking forward to seeing this… 🤗❤️

Look at all those beautiful black people…yeah, I wanna see this!

  43. True Self on March 12, 2021 at 2:18 am

I’m tired of the black miserable woman narrative. For a lot of black women such as myself this is not our narrative. Many of us are happily married and living our best lives. It’s time to change the narrative 🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️

  44. Kiki Havilah on March 12, 2021 at 2:19 am
