If you’re buying for Best Best or other stores with a good price match policy, keep track of your laptop model for like 30days.
I bought my Omen for $1549 CAD at BB, then 10 days later it went on sale and discount-coded on HP directly for $1349. BB price matched it and gave me back the differene + tax. I was so happy lol.

  2. JayzBeerz on January 9, 2022 at 3:38 pm

I bought a Acer Nitro 5 with an 11400H and GTX 1650 for $629.99 at Best Buy. Great budget gaming laptop.

  3. Ronnie Buchanan on January 9, 2022 at 3:41 pm

    What problem?

  4. Damaged Grooves on January 9, 2022 at 3:43 pm

Great, informative video that confirms what I suspected all along. Price inflation is a shamelessly predatory practice and these price trackers are really a godsend.

  5. Nuggi Nuss Lover on January 9, 2022 at 3:43 pm

4:56 sorry but thats just BS. You have to change one setting to get the normal version. If you cant do that, you dont are not capable of using a windows machine.

  6. AnonymousLC on January 9, 2022 at 3:44 pm

I got the Samsung galaxy flex alpha 2 for 599.00 (normally 850.00) and i love it

  7. Marlon Gordon on January 9, 2022 at 3:45 pm

Note Taken: Dont buy a laptop on black friday or holidays ☺

  8. Grey Goose on January 9, 2022 at 3:45 pm

If I don’t need a GPU, that HP laptop looks like a fantastic deal. I couldn’t even break $1000 until I maxed out the specs, screen, storage, and added an extended warranty. I’ll keep this on my radar if I don’t get the Lenovo Legion 5

  9. John Filin on January 9, 2022 at 3:46 pm

  12. Amer Huba on January 9, 2022 at 3:48 pm

I expected this video to laugh off all sorts of Celeron and Pentium crap that’s useless for anythings else than 480p youtube.

Oh yeah, they very good at polluting this planet too. Buy, use them (with headache) for a year then throw away.

Ryzen 3250U at least is fine for most work laptop is intended for.

  19. Daniel Cook on January 9, 2022 at 4:00 pm

I’ve always wondered which plug-in was being used for the embedded in browser on web page cost analysis. Great video as usual.

May I ask what audio equipment you were using? The audio was absolutely phenomenal on this video. Was it the Sennheiser mic?

  20. Project Ejing on January 9, 2022 at 4:04 pm

This is the sad truth. And most of the time right after the "BFS" the prices will just go back to normal. BUY SMART!

  21. noobwow2009 on January 9, 2022 at 4:05 pm

Lenovo ideapad slim 7i pro is a solid deal
    2.8K 90HZ 100% IPS 14”

I’m very new to learning computer specs, and what is considered good and bad. Does anyone have a beginners video recommendation for learning them.

  23. Nathan Kam on January 9, 2022 at 4:08 pm

How much was the Aero 13 Ryzen 5 in Canada on Black Friday?

  24. Slats! KS on January 9, 2022 at 4:10 pm

Since you are in Canada maybe you can talk about what a garbage SCAM market we have here on a daily basis. Best sale in Cda will be Nov 30th when we can cross the border without covid tax on the way back lol.

  25. Tank Connors on January 9, 2022 at 4:11 pm

I always look into Open boxes….these are sometimes brand new!… and you can save a good 200-300$… I bought a Helios 300 in 2019..open box..it was only unsealed! Brand new!..and I saved 400$!

  26. ThatPoorKenyan on January 9, 2022 at 4:11 pm

from working in customer service and returns i would avoid buying any Asus products, they have some of the worst customer service i have ever dealt with and like 80% of faults they just send back as accidental and then try to charge you £45 for shipping it back un-repaired or they will throw it away for free

  27. J S on January 9, 2022 at 4:11 pm

Should I return my iPad Air for something different like a laptop

  28. ZulfiQar on January 9, 2022 at 4:12 pm

I need a laptop on budget 50k to 70k for professional programming and for android studio..(not a gamer)
    1. good refresh rate (60hz min)
    2. Good Screen resolution: to focus on tiny characters on screen for long
    hours of work.
    3. New generation CPU
    4. screen size: atleast 15.6

  29. KiDD NepTune on January 9, 2022 at 4:12 pm

I just bought the Lenovo legion 7i 16GB Ram for about $1500

  30. Mister 2 on January 9, 2022 at 4:13 pm

This is compounded by the current market for consumer goods in general. It pains me when I look on reddit and folks are posting things like "Look I just scored a G15 w/ 3070 for 1600$" – thinking they got $300 off. It was $1550 at launch as MSRP. Companies have done an excellent job getting consumers to swallow higher prices as "normal". Just makes normal BF shenanigans all the more disgusting.

  31. Max Jeje on January 9, 2022 at 4:13 pm

Hi guys help me out..which i should go for..legion 5 pro or legion slim 7

  32. Patrick Lundmarck on January 9, 2022 at 4:13 pm

"It’s a TRAP!" Three of the scariest words in the English language. 🎁 I just assume everyone’s ready to rip me off.

  39. T Blank on January 9, 2022 at 4:21 pm

So dell has a deal for their G15 Gaming with a 11800, 16 GB ram, and 3060 for under $900 + tax with coupons and CB applied. About the best deal I saw this time around this year.

  40. Cosmic Cloud on January 9, 2022 at 4:21 pm

I’ve been a minimalist most of my life. But let me tell you a little secret about Black Friday. You will notice that the items that you normally would buy or the “models” I should say, are no where to be found. Instead, you will see all the crap that nobody bought on the regular days and they have to get rid of it to make room for the new models, otherwise they’ll lose money, and it’s STILL not heavily discounted, they’re still profiting, on both from the sale and by clearing the space, it’s NOT like they’re selling it at cost, 30% is a normal sale discount, and people wait in line for this shit 🤦‍♂️ To add insult to injury, they’ll say certain items are not on sale, like the good stuff that you actually need, or want on a normal day. “Unfortunately” Those are out of stock or “Exempt”, sooooo why the F%#% are we waiting in line then? Why wouldn’t I just come back when there’s no line on a normal day? Which I did, and I found all the high end models back up at full price.

Example if you walk into Nike Boutique, the Air Jordans are out of stock and the new release models are FULL price. “But everything else is 20%-40% off.”
Yeah, all the crap that I don’t need that no one bought. And yet all the sheep continue to follow the herd into the trap 🤦‍♂️.

    Same thing at Best Buy
“The I phones are not included in the Black Friday deals, but our discounts are on appliances 20% or games 30% or certain TVs”
Oh ok, so you mean last years models that were going to be marked down at factory reimbursed discounts ANYWAYS? But not the new one right? That comes out once all the crap is gone. Excellent tactic to make way increase sales by feeding on people’s fear and greed. Genius actually. I wouldn’t take that crap if they gave it to me for free, I’d rather have 1 good pair of Jordans than 10 pairs of “meh…” or 1 nice TV that’s reliable and works instead of 4 mediocre ones…think sheep think. The less shit you buy the better for you.

And yet the public waits in lines several hours long because they think they’re getting a steal but all they’re doing is playing into the hand of the corporate tactics. I don’t blame the corporations I’m just saying you’re not really getting a deal in most cases. Unless it’s something you really needed that’s a simple practical item like a new potato peeler or a new microwave but the luxury stuff, forget it.

  41. Matias on January 9, 2022 at 4:22 pm

Should i keep waiting to buy a laptof if i need it for around March 2022?

  42. syn3rgyz on January 9, 2022 at 4:22 pm

avoid anything made by razer and lenovo and you’ll be fine

  43. EazyVG on January 9, 2022 at 4:22 pm

Black Friday – most of the things are overpriced and then discount plastered. 🙂

  44. Valka Solidor on January 9, 2022 at 4:22 pm

The old caveat emptor. I’m reminded of how I’ve kind of been wanting to upgrade my living room tv. I’m in no hurry, but I do watch the market pretty regularly. One area of interest to me that is almost always in "Black Friday" deals at Amazon are Roku or Fire tv’s, so I thought maybe I’d see at least a marginal improvement on some deals, but so far all of the "specials" I see are offered at pretty much the same discount that seems to be on about 75% of the time.

  45. Noukz on January 9, 2022 at 4:24 pm

Tech Youtubers need to talk about his! Thank you for being smart, brave and honest Eber!

  46. Bjorn Roesbeke on January 9, 2022 at 4:27 pm

"refurbished" Doesn’t mean it’s a bad deal. I bought my refurbished laptop in a physical store based on an online listing.
The specifications didn’t match but at least i was in a position to check it out myself before commiting to the purchase.
I’ve since upgraded the WLAN NIC, WWAN card and shoved another stray 8GB RAM module in it.
I’m still using it. Not bad for a 6-year old laptop!

  47. Dr.Jimmy Rustles on January 9, 2022 at 4:29 pm

    Eber is my dad

  48. David S on January 9, 2022 at 4:29 pm

It’s* a trap. Mind that apostrophe guys. The version WITH the apostrophe means "It is". The version WITHOUT the apostrophe indicates possession. I’ve seen this mistake in several of your video titles over the past year…

  49. Niju Jose on January 9, 2022 at 4:31 pm

I ended up getting the Razer Blade 15 Advanced (2020) for sale at 1599 vs the original 2999, 1TB SSD, 16GB RAM, 300hz 1080p IPS display. Good deal even though the components are nearing if not over 2 years old? Will it last me another 3 to 5 years?

  50. Swipe Konme on January 9, 2022 at 4:32 pm

some of your videos leave one transfixed, sadly this one isn’t one of them. here’s how you should’ve implemented: show tons of popular deals with photo, msrp, regular sale price, bf price, then for each provide the caveats, and suggest hedges (get care plan, buy with cc for extended warranty, etc) and suggest one alternative (for a few dollars more, this is a far better option) instead you went all preachy with little substance
