I have a GE JB940WB flat electric top range. Door hinge on right side is stuck/jammed. Left side hinge works. This does not involve the "Clean Cycle" latch. The door can be pulled open about 3" on left side and 1 1/2" on the stuck side, no more. Any suggestions for how to fix? I plan to remove the right side panel for a better look and access.

Got a used stove, as a temp. fix, thing had 2 baby mice in it. I removed like 75 screws trying to get the cabinet off. Turns out it was just 2 screws I needed. It was so gross, the insulation was full of mice crap and all yellow and reeked of urine, removed as much of the bad insulation as I could. Found replacement insulation on ebay.

Repair clinic didn’t get a chance to reply to me but I figured out how to diagnose the problem . One of the burner service stayed on , and smoking , even when turned the stove off , when I opened it , right a way I noticed the bad switch it was completely burned , I replaced it , and it was impressive . My wife is so ecstatic !We can cook and have great sex after cooking ! Thank you again for the video !

I have a GE Profile Electric Stove, model # PB960EJ4ES. I had to replace a GFCI near it. I had flipped the breakers just below the one I needed to replace the GFCI- which were for my stove. When I reconnected it, the stove was no longer working. No lights- no power at all. There is electricity running from the outlet all the way to the control board. I am not sure if it surged or something and messed up a relay or something on the control board and I do not want to pay over $500 for the control board alone. Is there something else I can check or a reset or fuse somewhere to repair this without being out hundreds of dollars? I have been trying to find an answer for hours. There are a few companies that do control board repairs, but nothing local, and I want to test it to see if that is even the problem first. Please help if you can- thanks!

Hi there, I am wondering if you would be able to help me locate the Lock/Unlock door motor assembly for my General electric stove. I have tried all the trouble shooting possible to get my oven door to unlock after the self cleaning cycle was interrupted. From all I have read, I have to remove the unlock door motor and manually reset it by turning it 180 degrees after manually pressing the open oven door rod. However, I cannot locate this on the back panel of my stove. Here is a link to the video of my filming this stove. Any ideas where I need to start. Thanks for your consideration. Here is the link which is part 1, but is only 1 minute long, also there is a 2nd part which is only 30 seconds long to give you another view of the back panel.

My oven door lock got engaged while oven was baking – now it’s locked and won’t open even after cooling off. I can’t run the clean cycle because there’s food in the oven. I haven’t found a video that shows me how to release the door lock on this model.
