Thinking of selling my laptop and getting a desktop
So basically you will need to get a PC desktop for gaming but if you want portability just go for ps5 or Xbox x. if you need to game anywhere you don’t have access to at least a monitor you need to sort out your priorities

A Laptop Can Be A Laptop And A Desktop ( Plug In Into A Monitor, Keyboard And Mouse ) And Some Of Them Can Be A Tablet Too. A PC Can Be A Desktop Only And It Consume More Power And Space. PC Is Cheaper But When You Count The Price With The Monitor, Keyboard, Mouse, And Speakers Price Is Just Similar To A Laptop.. Plus PC Consume More Power And It Just Increase Your Monthly Electricity Bill.. With PC Maybe You Can Safe Up When You Buy It But With Laptop You can Safe Up Every Month. Plus Laptop Have Guarantee And Some Brand Even Have Accidental Damage Protection Warranty So When You Broke Your Laptop Accidentally They Still Replace It. Not Every People Have The Space For Desktop Computer. Yes With A PC You Can Upgrade It But Not All People Need More Power. Some Of Them Just Need Portability. I’ve Seen A Lot Of People Said "GAMING PC IS THE BEST CHOICE" I Know Maybe Its The Best For You But Not All People Love PC, Maybe They Need Portability. This Is Just My Opinion. It May Be Different With Yours.

I still play on an 11 year old laptop, seems like its not giving up. But for some reason it kept saying "End Me" whenever I played an fps.
i would say get a laptop if you absolutely need mobility its a good Alternative these new laptops keep getting better and better but if you’re not Limited in mobility just get a desktop laptops are great but they don’t compare in the slightest to a Desktop in terms of visuals and Frame rates or performance

Definitely laptop. My family has both a capital city home and a farm home. Thus, even during the pandemic and I don’t have to go to campus, I still have to move a lot. Annoyingly and unsurprisingly, my bro who adamantly refused to get a laptop, would borrow my laptop whenever he couldn’t have access to his desktop. And funnily, he couldn’t even upgrade his GPU due to the insane prices and scalpers nowadays.

Definitely laptops atm. Desktop GPU are oos everywhere and you’ll be paying around $2000 from a scalper just for the GPU alone. Prebuilts can be a solution, but many of these prebuilt companies are also charging scalper prices for their machines. That’s only talking about GPUs, many AMD CPUs are also OOS. I would rather pay less for a slightly decreased performance than to pay a premium for desktops. There’s a popular Twitch streamer whose custom built is literally $12,000.

i have a gaming laptop (needed that for school) it has a 9th gen i7 and a gtx 1660 ti cost me about 1300 euros. ive been thinking about buying a gaming desktop but for a pc with basically the same specs i would have to pay around 1800 euros so i did not know why i would have to buy a gaming pc since this laptop can run all the games i play at very good quality
The build your own pc crowd has time to spam 24/7 because their PCs don’t even work due to no gpu.
Because laptops are smaller I feel like they will burst out on fire after playing a big game. They seem weaker to me XD. And after all desktop has different parts of hardware but laptop has everything in it so if keyboard gets damaged, it will be more trouble for laptop users.
I only care about fps being above 100 for competitive games like valorant or apex which already have above 100 in laptops
I mean for a game like hitman there certainly is a difference between 60 and 120 but like I don’t need that extra fps to enjoy the game

Your right the deskop is cheaper but you still need to buy a keyboard, mouse, and monitor and thats directly 500 bucks more so i think laptop is cheaper
Due to Covid it’s more favourable to get a desktop over a laptop tbh.
(Although things are getting better so I might change my mind later on)
