I inherited my Mom’s MIRRO Pressure cookers. A 4qt, and an 8qt. They’re both OLD SCHOOL heavy aluminum with a 3-weight pressure disk…(a jiggler). I’ve canned in them and made your Farmhouse Chicken Noodle soup in the 8qt. They work PHENOMENALLY! I was also gifted a Presto 16qt Pressure Cooker/Canner..GREAT for all the canning I do….I think I’ll stick with these.

My go to press cooker is a Magefesa had it over 35 years and works flawless and also appears
as the safest sealing method in the industry. I tried the electric ones they dont appeal to me.

  20. C_ Farther on June 23, 2021 at 2:03 am

Fagor isn’t what it used to be, sent mine back and got a Presto. Oh my gosh, I am so happy with it. Got the latest one. Customer support was really excellent when I had a question and you can get parts easily. I love the 6 quart, always had the 8 quart but the 6 quart is nice and straight and handles everything I used to put in the 8 quart. p.s. I always spray in the inside before I use it and after it is washed, I put a little olive oil on a paper towel and wipe it shiny. I just needed to share that for some reason.

In Indian cooking there are many items that needs pressure cooker to be cooked.
Indian used pressure cooker in their kitchen on daily basis.
In this test they have not tested Indian cookers, they will be at the top of the list if tested. Like Hawkins 8L cooker can be used for life time no needs any experience to use.

  37. dgibraltar on June 23, 2021 at 2:21 am

What about the rubber o ring seal on the cover. I know for a fact, these have to be replaced. What about the availability of them?

  38. devi Amrita on June 23, 2021 at 2:22 am

    Please test OPOS Presure Baker

  39. Layput on June 23, 2021 at 2:23 am

I also got the Fissler but it’s the Vitavit Premium. It was on sale for $220. It’s quite nice. You have to keep the pot open first until it reaches boiling point and then cover it. This way, it doesn’t lose a lot of steam and it gets to the right pressure easily.

However, I think it’s just too expensive. It may be the best (made in Germany) but its difference over other decent but affordable pressure cookers is marginal at best.

They all work the same. The Fissler is just fancier.

  40. Jordan Smithson on June 23, 2021 at 2:24 am

I’ll be sticking with my Instant Pot, thanks. Just press a few buttons and walk away.

  46. Donna Jupp on June 23, 2021 at 2:33 am

I have Kuhn Rikon and would have no other kind. I know expensive but you sometimes get what you pay for. Thanks

  47. Joan Wood on June 23, 2021 at 2:39 am

I have an All American pressure cooker. No rubber gasket, oil the edge of the lid lightly, that’s it. The lid basically screws on. Able to can 6-8 1 quart jars at a time. People sometimes worry about pressure causing the lid to come off, will never happen with mine. And it works beautifully on my flat top electric range

  48. MAGO Channel on June 23, 2021 at 2:40 am
