TBT 4 is not trivial when using an EGPU. TBT4 blows the framerates of TBT3 because the controller is now on the CPU.

dissapointing that the 17 doesn’t include a numpad. all that room and no numpad. i mean if you like putting in long number combos jumping back and forth tediously that’s cool… but really. couldn’t squeeze it in!? bummer

Anyone else out there bad with tech?
One question: why would anyone buy a UHD instead of FHD until and unless they don’t do some hardcore gaming or video editing? I have a YT channel but I don’t shoot anything in 4k. It’s too time consuming. Am I wrong here? Buying FHD will save me money, less heating and most importantly more battery life..!

XPS 15 is the best one in term of sound.
my touch pad is 5cm by 9 cm and works great with such a large TuchPad it gets in the way of typing bcos it too big and stuffs up the cursor place and emachines e732 worked well for wat i need but now i want better.
Hey man! I’m trying to buy one of these xps 17 with the same keyboard layout as you (with the big enter key and the extra key next to the Z key). How did you manage to get this? Is this a classic British setup? On dell’s website there are only pictures with the classic American configuration. I’m French Canadian by the way and it looks like we have the same keyboard layout. 😉

Last time I’m buying a Dell. Doing s videoconference is ashaming with Dell, webcam and microphone are horrendous, looks very unprofessional. Specially if you are planning to record the conference, blurry face recorded for the eternity
Is there an estimate of the longevity of these laptops? I’ve had my Asus 551CA for about 7 years now and been wanting a major upgrade that I won’t have to worry about replacing for another 7 years
