Best way to add Bass to a Home Theater WITHOUT adding a Subwoofer! BSA-200 Review

Best way to add Bass to a Home Theater WITHOUT adding a Subwoofer! BSA-200 Review

When someone asks what is the best way to add bass to a Home Theater, they typically are asking how do I get that tactile feel. The best way to add that bass to a home theater is to add some bass shakers and an amplifier. Recently I got my hands on a new amplifier designed specifically to run bass shakers – the BSA-200. This bsa-200 amplifier has changed how I view movies and how others have experienced bass in my home theater. Check out the review of the BSA-200.

Thanks man, this is the video i was looking for on this topic. Can’t wait to install this and see how it is! If I make a video on this thing I’ll defer back to this one. ๐Ÿ™‚

Definitely check the "BOSS" system on AVS forums. You can get 3hz shake with a Hover BOSS. And it’s not that expensive to build.

Turn it all the way left, then nail polish the end and you will know exactly where the unit is

What’s the best way to adjust the volume using the wired remote?
How I know when the volume is to low or to high every time I turn it on?

I hate bass shakers! I have two inexpensive 12in.subs in my family room 5.2 and i have felt bass while watching movies. I don’t wanna feel a shaker, i wanna feel bass ๐Ÿ™„

Hello. I had a Dayton spa250 and it just stopped working, because I had a custom setup for my Atmos 4D home theater, I had to buy another spa250. This week it also stopped working. They just worked for about 2 years and power was decreasing significantly as time passed. Does this amp really gives the necessary power for 4 Aura shakers? Do you know if it is expected to be reliable and steady? The experience that I had with the SPA250 was not the best and I’m a little sceptic. Thank you for your time and info.

I feel like you didn’t talk about using these for music. Can you do it, or does it sound and feel best with them off?

Thank you so much for this video! This is exactly the explanation I’ve been looking for.

Watched to about 3 minutes in. Once I learned what exactly it was you’re selling, I stopped.

No thank you. Silly gimmick. A toy for the kids but absolutely nothing to do with audio.

    Good luck.

    Sweet!

Are the bass shakers transmitting the actuall bass frequencies from the music or soundtrack into what they are attached to, or is it pumped up lower frequencies to accentuate the bass?

I can just hear this thumbnail…

  20. Dawson Mobley on January 9, 2022 at 5:59 pm

so…… is it recommended to run and wire in mono (bridged) mode unless being used for the few games that have stereo bass? You mentioned it can make more power in bridged mode but it wasn’t really clear if that’s the BEST way to run it if you don’t need stereo mode for anything?

Thanks for the video btw! I have four AURA shakers (They look just like the DAYTON branded shakers) I bought 20 years ago that I pulled out of storage to install in my ht after watching your vid on this amp. The AMP is ordered as well.

  23. SpookyBaba on January 9, 2022 at 6:05 pm

Sorry, Mate. I had to turn off after three and a half minutes. Because you either don’t blink, or you blink at the very same time that I blink. Which is too spooky. Even for me.

You have such a beautiful family!
    Edit: Go packers!

good stuff . . . tho not quite for me
what I really appreciate is the clarity of your voice,
way too much YT stuff gives my ears "issues"
    keep up the good work

I recently added a bass shaker to my bed and it rocks! I live in a small apartment so I try to be as efficient as possible with the space I have. There’s a projector mounted to the end of my bed, pointed at the ceiling, with two speakers I had laying around. I wired it up with a TPA3116D2 Class D amplifier from AliExpress, which was perfect with its 2x50W stereo and 1x100W bass outputs. It has knobs for setting the bass crossover frequency and independent volume knobs for the speakers and shaker. I power it with a 150W industrial power supply, which is more than enough for my current setup as I never go above 50% volume, and since it’s mounted under the bed, I use an IKEA Tradfri Outlet to turn it on/off

  27. Review God USA on January 9, 2022 at 6:09 pm

Does it accept single like RCA input or does it need 2 wires?

  28. Sheraz Hussain on January 9, 2022 at 6:11 pm

You nailed it! I also own a BSA-200. Great amp but I also share the same complaints, It is so hard to figure out where the crossover setting is dialed into! Why not just have a simple knob that lets you precisely dial in to your desired levels?!!

Really Different from some of the others that do Bass Audio I’m really impressed about wattage and how much you truly need and how to get the most out of what your using I Thank you for you complete assembly of boxes and home theater Advice Great Job stay safe Blessings Always ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™

The editing on this video was pretty dang good compared to some of your older videos. The B-Roll was nice and not distracting and the cuts were pretty smooth. It wasn’t distracting and added depth to the narration. Overall you did a good Job. Lighting could still be a little better as the backgrounds are often pretty dark. Keep it up.
The Bassshaker is cool too btw. Want to buy some for my media room too.
