Unfortunately, every single one of these games have been out since 2019 or earlier (excluding the console port to Xbox for stranded deep) and I’ve already played all of these and own a few. Good list but I’m looking for new stuff.

I’m REALLY looking forward to Green Hell _finally_ coming to PS4/PS5 in June of this year (2021) but I look forward even more to the "proper next-generation" enhancements for PS5 (and X|S) that devs have announced for later on down the road, after console launch.
Green Hell is one of the very best and absolute most brutally punishing survival games out there (with adjustable difficulty, FYI,) and console gamers who haven’t played it really, really need to pick this one up as soon as it’s available. It’s not just another indie survival game. In terms of it’s quality I’d say it surpasses The Forest, but I haven’t played The Forest in a few years. I’d almost put Green Hell in a class of its own, but I don’t know if I like it quite as much as The Long Dark. TLD is REALLY hard to top.
Furthermore, according to Creepyjar’s Green Hell 2020/2021 roadmap (link below,) they have more content planned for 2021; part 2 of Spirits of Amazonia in "Spring" and part 3 of Spirits in "Summer." Both are planned for after console launch. Vague time frames, sure, but it’s excellent news nonetheless.
Sorry buy Stranded Deep is DOGSHIT
They have done no next gen update at all, struggles to get 30 fps consistently (even on Series X).
The devs have already abandoned this game – don’t waste your money.

I wouldn’t say Rust is a "survival game." Rust is some kind of "PVP base-building, crafter-shooter."
If you could break games down into a single criterion that determines whether or not they’re truly "a survival game" in the sense we’re talking about here, I’d say that criterion would be the necessity to eat/drink, with death as a consequence for not doing so.
If you die as a direct consequence of not eating or drinking, then it’s a survival game. Using food to regain health after being shot is not the same thing because you didn’t die from not eating, you died from being shot and not healing, which is a different thing.
It’s important to maintain precision and accuracy with descriptors like "survival game," because as soon as we start letting people call games like Resident Evil, Fortnight, Days Gone "survival games" (and that’s already a thing they do,) jusy because they require you to survive _something_ , then the term starts getting applied to everything with any type of challenge and the term becomes totally meaningless and becomes useless for us to find the "Long Dark," "Forest," "Subnautica" type games that we referred to when we use the term.
Days Gone is _excellent_ , but it’s not a proper "survival game."

Dayz could be better but they made the weapon spawning way too scarce. Maybe for realism but there’s a point where too much realism ruins a games enjoyability

Dayz is the best game ive played. Every game ive played since has bored me and i find myself going back to it. its the realism of it. sometimes its glitches but man, its perfect from the icons display to the controls toe the gameplay. theres no equal
