   Slim chassis do not generate heat. The components do, it’s just that a slim chassis makes it harder to remove the heat from inside the laptop. Also the RTX 2060 in G14 is a Max-Q variant (65 Watts), which is a downgrade as a full powered GTX 1660ti (80 Watts) will offer better performances.

    I recently bought the Lenovo legion 5 (ryzen 5 4600h gtx1650 16gb ram 256gb ssd+1tb hdd + 144hz screen + 4zone rgb keyboard)for 900 USD or RM3.6k in malaysia.

    It includes microsoft office student 2019. As a student and casual gamer(valorant minecraft etc) , i’d say its pretty good.

    Pros:
    -Can play all AAA games at mid or high settings
    -When idle, quiet af. Even when playing Valorant the sound isnt too obvious either
    -The plastic feels solid and durable, keyboard is feels premium and mechanical-like
    -Speaker and microphone quality is really good
    -its affordable

    Cons
    -there are bloatwares but easy to remove
    -its heavier than most laptop lmao
    -The system gets a little glitchy or freezes (only happened once, just reset)
    -Theres a strange task on task manager that mysteriously take up 90% of cpu and alot of your internet(end task then its back to normal)(pretty sure its not virus)
    -Some arrow keys on the keyboard feels wobbly

    ChromeOS = 10.8% market share 2020
    MacOS = 7.5% market share 2020

    So the reason the macbook air m1 isnt as fast as it seems is because most apps are x86 so only available on intel or amd, but the m1 uses rosetta 2 to decode and use those apps, and rosetta 2 is a little slower. Once these Apps are native to m1 itll be way faster

    Your number 5 ‘best’ laptop has a screen brightness of ONE hundred and fifty nits, and you thought it an appropriate laptop to put in a top 5? People will be SORELY disappointed if they buy a laptop which such a horrendous display. And you cited the display as if it were a selling point?! And you don’t even tell us about storage?     I am currently using an 11 inch MacBook Air from 2011 and am going into college next year. While I’ve been recommended to get the MacBook Pro with the new M1, I do want something which can run games while I am not doing schoolwork, with decent battery life and strong gpu performance.
