What the WHAT?! This 5.1 theater speaker set packs a PUNCH, along with an insane price point! And this ain’t some no-name brand either…it’s from KLIPSCH! So you know it’s quality. I review the Reference Theater Pack and give you a few pointers along the way. Check it out!

*CORRECTION: I made the mistake of circling the wire terminals and called them the “keyhole mounts” on both the satellite and center speakers. D’OH! My bad. The keyhole mount holes are actually in the exact spot as the ¼ ” threaded insert. Sorry for any confusion!

Just saw this system on Costco shelves for $249.00. Top choice now for me, sound bar with Atmos or this Klipsch kick-ass.

Good video. I am planning to get this and bookshelf 2 speakers to add them as front left and right and the surround speakers for a 5.1.2 setup. Also, planning to buy a denon S750H. What do you think about this setup?

  8. chaotic/Silence on January 14, 2021 at 3:25 am

I have a synergy black label F-200 7.1 klipsch home theater setup, I tested allot of speakers at the Local high end stereo shop , Bose sounded like Tin cans next to Klipsch literally, the only brand that sounded as good was Paradigm but they were about $1100.0 more

  9. cal88usa on January 14, 2021 at 3:26 am

How you gonna review a product and not show the product installed lmao.

  21. Addison Overby on January 14, 2021 at 3:38 am

Do you think this would work well with 17ft. tall ceilings in a very open living room? I keep seeing this set pop up but I wonder if I need something just a little bigger.

  22. TheMrbowtie26 on January 14, 2021 at 3:40 am

Would you recommend getting a better klipch center speaker like the R-52C and a pair of floor standing R-610F for a semi budget 7.1 system or is the center speaker not much of an upgrade ?

  23. LaVonna McClannahan on January 14, 2021 at 3:41 am

What kind of receiver can we use with these speakers.

  24. Harmanjot Singh on January 14, 2021 at 3:42 am

  28. SamuelTheFox on January 14, 2021 at 3:49 am

    500 is not budget

  29. My Channel on January 14, 2021 at 3:50 am

Does this require a receiver and if so which budget receiver does Dolby atmos? Speaking of which can you add 2 more speakers for atmos? Does this support THX/atmos?

  30. mike coombes on January 14, 2021 at 3:51 am

wrong placement for your subwoofer. if thats the only place to put it. i guess thats where it goes.

  31. Bas Damen on January 14, 2021 at 3:51 am

  32. F34RSANTHOSH _ on January 14, 2021 at 3:52 am

Do you think this is a good starter sound system??, i dont want to spend too much, prob add some upward firing speakers to it for the dolby atmos

  33. America First on January 14, 2021 at 3:53 am

You got WAY to much going on man. Calm it down a bit and you’d have a pretty good channel.

  34. Ricardo Molina on January 14, 2021 at 3:54 am

I have the older version the Quintet V. Which I personally think are way better. Got them 50% off on Black Friday from Best Buy. $250 out the door. Matched it to the R-115SW on sale 20% off. $650. Already had a Sony receiver and use this as my bedroom system.

  35. child617 on January 14, 2021 at 3:59 am

I came in here because I seen it at the costco today for $300+ and wanted to get it but was wondering if it was as good as it looked.

  36. iRon Man2121 on January 14, 2021 at 4:02 am

  38. Amit Dingare on January 14, 2021 at 4:03 am

Thank you for the video. One question. So, the subwoofer is wireless, but do the other speakers need wired connection?

  39. Treenighet777 Maranata777 on January 14, 2021 at 4:03 am

This speaker pack looks so good! Thank you for your unboxing & Review, very well and good done.

  42. Cosmo 78 on January 14, 2021 at 4:05 am

Can you add a second sub?

  43. Estevan Loredo on January 14, 2021 at 4:06 am

I was hoping for a sound comparison / sample of the Klipsch. I to am a Costco member and that is where I bought mine as well. I bought it at $449, however they went on sale this past Sunday and go off sale of $349.99 December 24th 2020. Can’t wait to hook them up and hear Call of Duty WarZone off of my PlayStation 5😍😍😍🤤🤤🤤🤤

  44. Nick Young on January 14, 2021 at 4:07 am

I got it for $330 from Costco on Cyber Monday. Should arrive tomorrow. I am planning to keep my nice bookshelf speakers for the L R speakers, and add these for center, sub and surround. Excited to see how they work with my old Onkyo AVR. Then I will look for a good Atmos AVR.

  45. SeabassTheGr899 on January 14, 2021 at 4:09 am

So disappointed because I got mine today and am missing the wireless receiver! I bought it supposedly new from a guy off Facebook Marketplace but there are many signs it’s refurbished to me, especially based on this unboxing review. My speakers were missing the individual coverings, my subwoofer seems to have very minimal scuffing on the edges, and there was also a little bit of debris on the speakers. I’m new to this whole home theater business so not even sure how to make it work now. Was really looking forward to the wireless sub 🙁

  46. Arif Syed on January 14, 2021 at 4:10 am

    Hi elan i gotta question.
    I can paier another subwoofer?
And do i need amplifiers or receiver for this? I need it which one receiver i have to buy.

  47. Bryan Revell on January 14, 2021 at 4:11 am

I bought 2.1 desktop set formy PC and it slams I am thinking about getting this for home theatre system

  48. Lamonta Smith on January 14, 2021 at 4:12 am

I got the speakers themselves on Best Buy for 200. Already had a Polk 12 subwoofer and bought an onkyo receiver to pair with my a8h. Best purchase all year.

  49. Heisen berg on January 14, 2021 at 4:14 am

I love your videos Ealan! Good content coverage plus some humor and visual effects along the way!

    So I do have a question……

So this Theater pack is currently on sale for $350 at Costco and you get the 5 speakers and a 8" sub. I’d have to buy a receiver at about $300 to power it. So the all in cost would be about $650 to get 5.1 surround.

I am also looking at the Klipsch Cinema 600 soundbar which is on-sale for $300 right now. This package, from what I can tell, has better front and center speakers (classic Klipsch horn design) built into the soundbar plus it has a larger wireless 10" sub. I can also pair the Cinema 600 soundbar with the wireless Klipsch Surround 3’s for about another $250. So the all-in price for the Cinema 600 + Surround 3’s would be $550 and this would get me a complete 5.1 theater package.

I’m curious what your thoughts are on this Costco 5.1 Theater Pack vs the Klipsch Cinema 600 + wireless Surround 3’s? I’m thinking the Cinema 600 + Surround 3’s would be a better deal since all the speakers seem to be better plus it has a larger more powerful sub. Plus it’s $100 cheaper.

I was curious what your thoughts are?

    Thanks!
