With the generation coming to a close I revisit the games that are most definitely still worth playing on the new more powerful hardware even if they get NO significant upgrades. These games are just fantastic and deserve to live on into the next generation

Even tho this video is old i fail to see how gta and red read 2 make the list. Neither game got a patch to run them at 60 FPS and are just locked at 30. GTAV especially since it is so old and Rockstar releasing a next gen version/upgrade

I grow up with Nintendo and Playstation but tomorrow I’ll get my first Xbox (Series X). It will be a nice addition next to my Nintendo Switch and Playstation 5. I finally get the opportunity to play all the Xbox exclusives I’ve missed thanks to backwards compatibility. Can’t wait! Happy gaming everyone😃

  7. Stuart Bagley on November 4, 2021 at 10:01 am

Fable Anniversary really benefits from the load times. It looked great on XBOX One X, but the Series really reduces the load times.

  8. Bd Raidian on November 4, 2021 at 10:01 am

Will the series S benefit also as I’m debating just buying the series S to save money

U forgot Nier Automata., It has the best story and soundtrack from the last generation. The gameplay is amazing and the Graphics can on occasion look very beautiful. Also, A Plague Tale deserves at least an honorable mention considering it was made by a small indie studio with graphics that are better than 95% of triple-A studios. Happy to see Prey was not forgotten in the list

Which Xbox One games are you looking to revisit on Microsoft’s new hardware? Or which game will you be playing which you skipped this gen? Let me know down below.

  22. TheCivildecay on November 4, 2021 at 10:18 am

    Legacy games you should play:
    Alan Wake
    Ninja gaiden: black (or 2)
    Mass effect trilogy

Since I juggle between all consoles and primarily play third-party games on Xbox, I have a ridiculous backlog of games to play, which is why I am absolutely excited to be able to take all my games with me to the Series X and experience lots of them for the first time and for the better.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order being a great example since I’ve heard that it had terrible frame issues which are non-existent on Series X, so I’m definitely glad I’ve waited before playing it yet.

I just replayed Red Dead Redemption on my Xbox One X and I can’t wait to start Red Dead Redemption II on Series X with its reduced load times. I’m definitely gonna replay the Batman: Arkham and Tomb Raider trilogies on Series X since they’ve been some of my favorite franchises in recent times. Resident Evil 2 is a must play as well and I haven’t played Borderlands 3 and Assassin’s Creed: Origins yet, which I’ve been highly anticipating.

People like to laugh at Xbox for not having games, which is untrue and definitely not gonna be the case in a good 2 years, but backwards compatibility is not to be understated and honestly, the biggest selling point for me with how much Xbox has done with it. I have plenty of games to play on Series X, even long after any true next-gen titles and exclusives start popping up, so I’m definitely not worried about "lack of games."

  27. Gordon Graham on November 4, 2021 at 10:24 am

Does anyone know why a game might not install to Xbox one x… I got a game that says… Xbox series x • Xbox one , and the console is having a time at spinning the disk stopping and not installing. However I got another game there that has the same thing on the case although it says Xbox one • Xbox series x and that installed just fine.

  28. Geek Savz Fat_T on November 4, 2021 at 10:25 am

I just want to know when or if the OG Xbox games that are only BC to the Xbox 360. Will make the jump to the next gen. There are some bangers on that catalog. Such as Stubbs the Zombie, Scarface, Predator, MvC2, Hulk Ultimate Destruction, Max Payne, Manhunt, NFL 2K5, the Punisher etc etc.

  29. ORANGEDRONE on November 4, 2021 at 10:25 am

I thought we had to wait until 2021 for the GTAV next-gen update?

  30. Cruelwraith2 games on November 4, 2021 at 10:26 am

The first games are playing on my Xbox series X is going to be Dragon Quest XI XIII I’m going to replay Metro Exodus I might get Watchdog Legions I’m going to get Assassin Creed’s Valhalla and I’m going to finish sekiro die twice

  31. Bhav Kumar on November 4, 2021 at 10:28 am

No monster hunter world ? No final fantasy 15?

I highly agree with the list but skyrim is best played on PC (that’s where mods are at their best)

  32. SerAndi on November 4, 2021 at 10:29 am

Do you know if more old games like Def Jam fight for NY or oddwold Munch’s Oddysee will be made playable on the new Xbox??

  33. Heriberto Lopez on November 4, 2021 at 10:31 am

To play reverse game play can the disc copy of the game be used or does it have to be digital copy ?

  34. wayjohnson1 on November 4, 2021 at 10:33 am

The best thing about Gears 5 is the Hivebusters content

  35. Roy S. on November 4, 2021 at 10:37 am

Although that Quantum Break is visually amazing, but considering it’s a XBOX ONE generation launching title, it’s kind of pathetic that it takes full 7 years with a next gen console to fully properly runs it.

  36. ractsninjas on November 4, 2021 at 10:37 am

    Actually Disney Infinity.

  41. Original Juice on November 4, 2021 at 10:43 am

Would be very interested in Skyrim on the Series X. See the graphics and performance, but mostly to see how impressive the Mods are.

  42. Omar Al ammo on November 4, 2021 at 10:44 am

Rdr2 is on one side and the rest of the games are on the other side.

  43. Coach Hrncir on November 4, 2021 at 10:49 am

  50. Richard Anderson on November 4, 2021 at 10:56 am

I was on ps4 this gen and didn’t realise until watching this video how many games I passed up along the way. I’ll definitely be giving some of these a try on my series x
