Nice picture, but between the Roku system interface, proprietary features, and the minor cost-cutting designs issues discovered after installation, it’s much better to spend a little more from a legitimate TV vendor then deal with numerous frustrating deficiencies. No Bluetooth! They provide a 3.5mm jack so I can use my 1986 Sony Walkman wired headphones or purchase proprietary Roku wireless speakers. So my new TCL TV is not compatible with my wireless Bose headphones, wireless Sony Speakers or new security camera system. Auxiliary Bluetooth transmitters are available–at an additional cost.
The TCL remote sensor is positioned directly on the front of the TV. So if you position a center speaker anywhere in front; it blocks the sensor, which causes the remote to not function. Your only other option is to purchase a $50 IR extender. More wires and more time/ money. The TCL only has one USB port to source the extender power, so to use a remote control, you must sacrifice that port.
My 12 year old Samsung could do more and operate easier than the 2021 TCL TV. Yes it has a nice picture, but the TCL product line is annoying to use and will require additional purchases and time in order for it to actual work. I did much research and the entire TCL Series product line suffers from the same issues. Even a Series 8 will nickel and dime you: buy any other reputable brand.

I picked up the S535 55 inch 2 days ago as a spare TV. I do like it mostly. The picture is not bad but not amazing. The other thing is there is no spot in the middle for the legs. It is only for 65 inch and up. Thanks for the review

Regarding your comment at 5:35 about the light that stays on, you can go to the settings and turn that light off and it won’t stay on anymore once you turn off the tv
I wonder how the TCL 50” QLED compares to the Samsung 50” 7 series, but I can’t find reviews anywhere but it seems like TCL QLED would be better.

Why do a full review standing to the side of the tv. The whole time the TCL’s colors looked dull and washed out!

I bought the 75 inch 5 series yesterday…being delivered on the 26th, can’t wait to get it.
I have a ten inch platform to place this on. I have read the dimensions are 8" length. Just wanted to check if anyone can tell me for certain if this will fit as I can’t go into a store because of covid? plz & thank you

I hope 🤞 everyone is having a great morning 🌞 I just wanted to leave my thoughts on this model if you playing on Xbox series s put the resolution on 1440 p 60 fps use the Sdr it gets Bright clear crisp on Sdr The Hdr is dark dim for gaming But for movies Netflix Tv shows Dolby vision Bright is incredible amazing But for gaming keep the Sdr Bright 1440 p on Xbox series s don’t use the upscale 4k at all you guys please don’t if you need help with settings comments I got you
Just in case this is not already in the comment section, you can go to settings & cut that white light off that’s at the bottom of the tv. You can Google how to do it. Thanks

I didn’t realize Roy got a promotion from The Warehouse to Sales
Console gamers complaining over the 120hz issue.. most games you play won’t hit that 4k 120 hz target.
Platformers and racing titles sure but most big AAA titles aren’t gonna get there.
The hardware isn’t there yet for it to be a ross the board and it also depends on the individual games themselves
