Best 4K TV of 2020 – Samsung Q90t QLED vs LG CX & Sony A8H OLEDs
Best 4K TV of 2020 – Samsung Q90t QLED vs LG CX & Sony A8H OLEDs
I’m here today to settle which is the Best 4k TV in 2020. Many of you know that picking the best product in any electronic category is difficult. TVs are no different. And I thought I, of all people, installing and consulting on TV and home theater for 15 years, would have a hard time picking my next tv. But even I got the FOMO.
Well. Today, I’m going to try and help you end this discussion. I’m going to compare the Samsung Q90t q95t, LG CX OLED and the Sony A8H OLED… I’ll give you a quick overview of the 3 products and at the end, I’m going to do something many youtubers rarely do… I’m going to give you the answer. I’ll tell you the best TV, why I bought it with my own money, no sponsors, no influence…. And I’m going to tell you why I’m confident it was the correct choice.

I think it’s lg cx I better
If you want a tv that will last 4 years buy samsung
At this point in mid/late December 2020, does LG have HBO Max or ESPN apps on WebOS yet? I haven’t heard the latest. I really want the 65” LG CX but don’t want to have to buy a 4K Apple TV either to get those apps.
Sony A8 is the best
Those of you with the CX mounted how do you tilt and move the TV safely? Planning to get one soon. Just realized how thin it is.
I like the way you explain excellent job, thanks
do you think lgcx 77 will drop price from the current $3500
Can you do a video comparing the AI mode/Reality Creation mode in these OLED TV’s which add definition to low quality cable content or even older movies like Star Wars?
Please help I have £3000 pounds uk want 85 inch tv what should I get I like gaming and movies please help
lg cx is best 2020 tv, price / performance
My favorite is Sony Android 4k 55xe90 was €899euros
hi dogs wanna be freinds
Great review videos! For February 2021 which 65” would you recommend buying? Samsung 90T or LG CX at 10-15% higher cost? Sony A9G cost another 24% higher in my area. I watch mainly NBA and NHL games from Cable box and movies from Prime, Netflix and Disney+ late afternoon to evening. Location: High-rise condo with large floor windows on the left and across facing East / South and will install on a swivel wall mount. Thanks in advance.
Ok is it true.?..I too love the LG …but I hear the complaint with LG is pop up commercials in the middle of watching even a movie. Thats whats keeping me from any LG
I just ordered the LGCX and am already feeling buyer’s remorse. I’ve been a Sony Bravia user for years and was ready to buy the A8H, but my tv sits on top of a Sonos Playbase and the SOny legs are too far apart to work with the playbase
How about burn in? I have severe burn in after Destiny 2 and Gems of War on my 55" LG B6 OLED from 2017. I love the picture but burn in is a real thing on Oled screens.
If you are a gamer who plays a lot. You should consider something else.
What do you mean, “but who has cable anymore?” I think most people have cable if they want anything to watch.
And as for the glare, you’re talking about glare from a window behind you when watching TV, right? Wouldn’t it help to mount it higher on the wall and tip it down at the top, won’t that get rid of the glare?
Thanks for the great reviews and comparisons, I am looking between the Sony X950H and Samsung Q90T in the 65 inch size. My use is in my basement with limited natural lighting but with a sectional sofa so some will be viewing from the side. Mostly streaming movies and shows from Netflix, Amazon video, Disney +, with the kids playing on PS4. I have done my homework of reading and viewing reviews, I have seen both at Best Buy but was hoping for real life experience to help make the final choice. Thanks
I just bought the Lg cx, it’s excellent!!
Very good job 👏🏼
Hi, does the LG CX or Q95T have a problem with eARC?
Excellent mirror for big room! )) There is no TV with matt panels!? ((
Thanks for the informative video. Just ordered the LG CX. 😀
Can you recommend a tv for me I can only go up to 49 inch due to room layout and I generally dip the blinds during the day and watch tv in the dark on a night when I mostly watch it
I bought a 77-incj Sony A9G. Admittedly, tI wasn’t cheap by any measure -but- I don’t think you could have purchased a better 4K OLED in 2020 – the LG "CX" was close. Samsung doesn’t support Dolby vision, and as such, I wouldn’t own one !!
Lg cx HANDS DOWN!!
When you are a fixed income, you need people like you to help us pick the best tv at the best price.
I purchased the LG OLED CX. It’s an amazing TV and I love the pointer. Controlling it doesn’t cause me much of a problem. I’m a fan of OLED basically because I used to own Pioneer Elite plasma TVs. I had them for at least 15 years and never had a burning issue and also never noticed any picture degradation. After using plasma TVs most of my life I’ve never been a big fan of LCD TVs because of the picture degradation from off angle The picture washes out. For my main TV for the man cave I’d never get a LCD because with the group of people I don’t want them looking at a washed-out picture from off angle. I was very happy when they came out with OLED since I couldn’t get plasmas anymore Now I can get even a better picture than I used to have with the plasmas. The LG OLED TVs also have processing built in to minimize burnin.
I watched your lg cx video, then watched this one. I do want a mount I can tilt left and right and I have a window across from where the tv will be.. is the lg cx still the winner? Your other video had concerns about tilting such a thin tv and the glare was more of an issue..
How do you rate the Bose Sound bar and wireless subwoofer?
I’m still on the fence for Sony a8 and q90t? Really don’t know which one to get, only thing is no hdmi 2.1, but realistically I still prefer resolution over performance as at 120hz will degrade picture quality.. so not sure what to do
Hi B, any chance you could make a video with the best calibrated setting for the q90t. Please 🙏
I went OLED back in 2016 and got the B6 55 inch. I got tired of playing the panel lottery and dealing with backlighting issues and blooming. After nearly 5 years I’m happy to report that the TV is rock solid and I’ve had no issues. I have about 3700 hours on the panel.
No Dolby Vision on the Samsung.
The sony 8h picture is too dark, Samsung Qled has not the perfekt Black levels.. The Lg is okay..
Does Samsung The Frame have the same glare issues like the Q90t? I like the idea of having a "frame" on my wall, I have big windows to the left, but nothing that reflects behind me when I am sitting in front of the TV.
Does the LG handle live sports well? I am about to get rid of my Panasonic Plasma for the LG, just worried about burn ins.
Thanks, you’ve made my mind up, LG CX 65” and I can get 17% off the £1,999 price tag.
I have seen the two If you want the best picture between the a8h and lg cx. The sony is the one to get if you want the best picture possible with most details go with that neither of the other two cant beat it. If you are true gamer a competitive one go for the lg cx but i settle for the sonh a8h the amount of details this tv producers outperform the other two. My pick for best tv with the best picture quality go with the sony, for great picture and gaming feature the lg cx, for the most brightness amd colors at high bightness go for the q90t. But to me overall the best tv is the Sony a8h.
Thank you for the info Question what do you recomend on a 75" to 85" TV for 2021
The Q90H is overpriced, but the cheaper Q80T is a better value with barely any loss in function when compared. You will not find a better priced TV than the Q80T.
I guess no one pay attention on TV until 2020 lol
Quantum tv says the lgcx is the worst tv ever. Whats the truth?
P A N A S O N I C
Panasonic Hz1000 is a choice in Europe and UK. However LG CX is all round tv performance.
Yeah buy an oled for 2500$ and after 3-4 years buy the new one for another 3000$.. wise choice 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Having used sony bravia xbr for 10 years, i’m having doubts about my lg cx65 oled picture quality compare to 10 yr old bravia (only in terms of quality of shadows and blacks). LG seems more reflective and dull. May be it just OLED thing. But going to checkout A9G.
for me the best 4k tv of 2020 is the PHilips oled 805
Just bought the 55" LG oled CX last night. Get it next week and can’t wait. I watched your other video and made my decision. I will tell you next week whether your advise was good or not!! LOL
I just got the AH8 cause I prefer Sony and it pairs well with my Sony sound bar
