Android One on Nokia | Is It The Right Choice?

Android One on Nokia | Is It The Right Choice?

In this video I talk about Android One, and whether its the right choice for Nokia mobile to use or not. I discuss the pros of using Android one exclusively, and the cons, and explain what Android one is and how it compares to the Pixel launcher found on Google Devices. I also express my opinion on what I think Nokia mobile should do in the future.

Android 1 is the main reasons why i love nokia and it doesn’t bother me at all.

But i get your point of having new features in the higher spect.

I hope they build a a boundary so buyer can make decisions.

    Like
    7.1 android one
    7.2 zlauncher
    7.3 etc.

So buyer can have a better choices.

    Just my opinion though.

bad thing is the updates comes late and there is no sound recorder app or screen recorder and there is no file manager app

Similar or even same user experience across devices is a strong point for Nokia, and should be for all smartphone brands.. Why would a blogger advocate marketing gimmicks used by corporations? We don’t want Nokia to become another Samsung or Xiaomi.
Nobody ever tries to save money on smartphones I don’t know a single person, we all buy what we can afford and maybe a little bit beyond what we can afford. Specs matter still. Have camera with better specs pls optimize the software add a couple of controls and never change user experience.
I just bought a g20 as present for my daughter.. x20 wasn’t readily available in my country.. but as her first smartphone I think g20 is fine still… Stock android was a major selling point for me.. Haven’t unboxed it yet, but have good feeling about it.

When Mr Nokia said The UI Experience is nothing different between Low end Vs midrange device of Android one. I’m shocked😳. Own a last year Wiko Sunny 5 basic Android GO device that UI experience looks the same as my current Nokia 5.4. 😂. From setting up the phone, wallpaper, theme. Just look the same,😅. Familiar setup from basic android phone to midrange 😆. Never regret to buy pure android devices afterwards 👌👍😍

Try ZenUI. It looks like stock android with many more features

It would be such an honor! To meet you! One Day. What a dream team! They should recruite us both! In THE mobile building Department! Perfect symbiosis! Both software and hardware!

  15. LEIF anevret on January 9, 2022 at 4:08 pm

And all this unneccecary mess! Started when old Nokia refused to see that Symbian was a too weak of a software when others took android, they had meego and Linux but didnt push it forward or at least should have gotten on THE android bandwagon then, they would have Still Been a big Number marketwise for customers delight! In conclusion! Its impossible to get a dead horse alive and kicking! So IF not some miracel happens in form of a real brainy executive WHO knows what to do! Then its over for this hmd entity as well!

  16. Muhamad Rizky Ananda on January 9, 2022 at 4:09 pm

well android one is great for being lightweight software but I do miss the unique UI that Nokia bought in old days for Symbian Belle/Meego/Asha/X series that make the phone distinct with other phones but Android one is ok too

  17. Legend of Nibbaheem on January 9, 2022 at 4:13 pm

they should bring back windows phone i don’t think think they have any chance of competing in android market

  18. Hugo Santos on January 9, 2022 at 4:16 pm

But that is like iPhone 8,10,12,13 they look like the same with the iPhone software

  19. LEIF anevret on January 9, 2022 at 4:18 pm

Own picture printing right out of THE phone too!

  20. Alejandro Mejia on January 9, 2022 at 4:18 pm

The lies!!! They just announced they won’t update the phone after a whole year

  21. S Stoikos on January 9, 2022 at 4:18 pm

sorry but i have to disagree about the perfomance. i bought a xiaomi mi 10t which ive sold already after 2weeks of stuggeling and bought then as "cheap alternative" the nokia 5.4. im surprised how much faster the nokia runs in daily operations. every game runs as smooth as with the mi10t only fortnite is stucking here and there but realy not disturbing you dramatically. the nokia 5.4 was a wow effect to me! i am relly joining it!

  22. Maxton Gomez on January 9, 2022 at 4:18 pm

Light weight software = smooth and less lag UI and it’s android one ❤️

  23. LEIF anevret on January 9, 2022 at 4:19 pm

It seems to me hmd took THE easy way out! Stuck with booring android ,other phones have at least something of their own! Here it is like looking to a brick wall not even a painting on THE wall so to speak! In conclusion Hmd came too late to THE rescue! And got swallowed by Google and theres already Google pixel phones! So whats THE deal here? I miss meego and Linux cooperation like in n900 and THE old Beautiful Nokia icons in touch version would be something! And THE old designs! Those 4g feature phones are just what they are! A hoax! To me at least! Selling weak phones! In order to get sales Up! And that to me is robbing Good folks money! Kind regards.

    I like Android one

  26. Event 42 on January 9, 2022 at 4:23 pm

Why pay more for high(er) end phone? In my book, that’s how you get more RAM and storage, better screen and faster, more powerful CPU. That’s what I could pay more for. Pay more to get customized calendar or tampered UI? Absolutely no.
Seeing cheap Nokia with clean OS being updated, next to more expensive Xiaomi device which gets more and more cluttered MIUI makes me considering where I should spend money when time for new phone comes.

  27. shhhhhhhh on January 9, 2022 at 4:24 pm

    MeeGo

  28. Saad Zeb on January 9, 2022 at 4:26 pm

3: 22 i agree with u, why would i spent money, when a low end phone has same software experience as that of high flagship one..
We need some features in flagship like app lock, gallery etc

  29. Don. Timeless on January 9, 2022 at 4:27 pm

I had enough of all factory customized android! from now & on looking for stock Android (AndroidOne). & the straw that breaks the camel’s back is the EMUI suppressing apps notification that I doesn’t used regularly! for example, you don’t recieve notifications from loved one or customer services from those apps you don’t use regularly!! Stock Android means first & regular updates, the most practical, stable version you can get. fast & sleek looking!

  30. TheMrNokia [Abdulla Zaki] on January 9, 2022 at 4:30 pm

Let’s do a poll. If you are team Android one like the video, if you are against android one also like the video. I’ll figure out the rest :p

  31. Viktor on January 9, 2022 at 4:31 pm

Absolutely no need for skin. In my opinion, we already have tons of companies who try build another OS on top of Android. Nokia has to go different way.

  32. LEIF anevret on January 9, 2022 at 4:32 pm

I was a bit excited when Nokia made comeback! With Hmd i got 6.1 2008 version! Nice design with Cooper lines! But inside so booring! Too Wide too heavy too slippery as well! Cost 3600 i was disapointed! To say THE least! Got 7.2 as well! Too clumsy! Too heavy! Not easy to scroll! Went back to Sony Xperia phones!

  33. LEIF anevret on January 9, 2022 at 4:34 pm

They should have had their own software! As i wrote earlier! Im with you there!

  34. Black+Purple on January 9, 2022 at 4:35 pm

Just buy a custom ROM project and give all core devs a Nokia device to maintain and build roms for, the optimisations and stability and updates are much better on custom roms than even Google pixel or Samsung flagship phones, that way, they’ll be employing and encouraging the devs to keep making the rom better and unique, the more they grow, the more other brands follow, and we’ll have Android much more optimised and stable than ever, even more than ios

  35. Saad Zeb on January 9, 2022 at 4:36 pm

    I love nokia,…..
But i hate hate android one…
Plz nokia launch android os like meego….

Hi! Awesome mobile maestro! Abdullah!🤗😃👍💪 Got a Question! Really directed to mobile manufacturues! Why not build phones like before i mean shape/designwise! They would sell a lot! Im sure about it! Cause these brick Stone shape! Is so booring! Kind regards!😃

  37. Gary V. on January 9, 2022 at 4:38 pm

Pure android 1 google system plus nokia hardware the best…

  38. Syngates Avenge on January 9, 2022 at 4:38 pm

I’m not really impressed with other brands UI OS .. What I see from it are ads. Idk, when I search something on my "shopping App", next day my screen is full of " ads News, recommended product" of what I search from that particular "Shopping App" .. Then when I open YouTube or Facebook, those "ads product" appears again.. Like, why they appear everywhere on my phone eventhough I only search it on 1 shopping app.. Well I hope Android One will not be like that

  39. nick from96 on January 9, 2022 at 4:39 pm

I think building a new skin would require way to Many resources 😕
At least if they still want to put out android updates fast and without glitches and all
But they could build some nice apps (like launcher, media hubs/ media editors etc) that don’t rely on a whole os update

  40. Abuobeida Makawi on January 9, 2022 at 4:40 pm

    Hi
This is one of reasons forcing me as Fanboy of nokia to leave ( used for years lumia 520, 920, 925, 830, 640xl, nokia 2 & 8).
R.I.P my nokia & Zeiss experiences.
Row android make me to feel that hmd or nokia has nothing to offer in software enhancing like what they did with Microsoft Windows phone.
They let google to do everything & they just make hardware.
Now with Samsung Galaxy S20 I feel better with UI.

  41. SUBHADEEP ROY on January 9, 2022 at 4:41 pm

Android one is Android at its best.

  42. Jay Velasquez on January 9, 2022 at 4:41 pm

  44. Trevor Philips Jr on January 9, 2022 at 4:45 pm

Can you tell about Nokia 6.1 and Nokia X series.

  45. Parth Mandaliya on January 9, 2022 at 4:46 pm

I bought 2 Nokia phones one after another. First died in 1.9 years Nokia 6 another Nokia 8.1 lasted 1.4 years. Man, I hate Nokia…

BTW, big android one fan. And I love your cat. Really adds a nice touch in the video

  46. Nic s on January 9, 2022 at 4:47 pm

I don’t see an issue regarding differentiation among Nokia’s lineup. Take Apple for example, on a software level the iPhone SE feels the same as using an iPhone 12 Pro Max however there are hardware advantages to spending the extra money on the higher end models like battery life, screen quality, size and cameras. I get the broader argument of differentiation in regards to competition (all Android one phones have the same software) but if someone decides they are buying a Nokia phone I don’t think Android one is as limiting for differentiation as this video makes it out to be.

  47. Zbyszek Adam H on January 9, 2022 at 4:48 pm

  48. vegan vipin on January 9, 2022 at 4:51 pm

Android one is a scam. They will not give you the alternate update. For example, if you buy android 10 you get only 11 and you will not get 12.

  49. Chill potato peal on January 9, 2022 at 4:52 pm

What if it say that it’s charging and it’s not plugged in

  50. Terry Jay on January 9, 2022 at 4:53 pm

NO. Thinking about the legacy left behind by the brand alone is an enough reason.
