Mortal Kombat is my favourite fighting game franchise and today we’re going to go through its entire history on PlayStation. Ranking and Reviewing all the 14 games from 1995’s Mortal Kombat 3 to the recent Mortal Kombat 11. Which game will come out on top?

Good list 🙂 mkx is my personal favorite, I loved the dark tone and the guest characters were right up my alley.
Mk9 is definitely one of the better Mortal Kombat games

i dont mean to sound rude but this list looks like it was put together by someone who plays the new Mortal Kombat games & did some half assed research on the old ones
what happened to Mortal Kombat Trilogy? the best 2D Mortal Kombat doesnt even make the list lol & the PC version of MK4 was awesome compared to the crappy looking Playstation & Arcade versions due to it actually having 3D accelerated graphics

I personally think we should get a updated version to Special forces now especially now we have better characters just imagine Cassie Cage Jaqui along with Sonya with better graphics and a better fighting system. It would do better and be way better. Same with the Sub-Zero game 🎮 I personally feel like they need to do two parts to that game 🎮 if they ever reboot it go into better depth with Bi-Han and Kung. Also we need a Scorpion 🦂 video 📹 game 🎮 been to long. Also we need a Shoilan Monks part 2 already

Mk9 was the best one for me too. Mk4 is a nostalgia cause I played it on arcade machines very long time ago. Only thing I hate bout mk9 is that Reptile doesnt have a human like skin.
Loved MKX myself, but boy did those fighting cutscenes need work.
Characters just watch the other’s fist hit their face half the time and don’t even attempt to block 😂
The older mk gave off a very Eerie mysterious feeling, so much til the point were i would be scared of the game a d have nightmares about it
The NRS era is extremely overrated IMO, while the 3D era gets a lot of hate unfortunately. Even though the 3D era provided a lot of bang for your buck right out of the box.

I was not a big fan of MKX and the Kombat Kids. Disliked the story, hated the drab art style. Other than that, though, I largely agree with the list. Playing through MK9’s story was one of my favourite moments in gaming. Having been a huge fan of the series ever since the first game (I know, I’m old), seeing the backgrounds, characters, and story from those first 3 games recreated and rearranged to tell a new story that still respected the originals without doing a full hard reboot, it was glorious! As much as I enjoyed MK11 with its huge roster and awesome production values, I do wish that Netherrealm would return to the vibrant, almost comic book style of MK9.

Aww man I loved MK vs DC don’t get me wrong the writing was effy at best but the actual gameplay is what made the new mortal kombat and Injustice what it is today.
I just wanna say, im 39 now and i fell in love with MK1 when i was 10yrs old when it came out at the arcade. I fell even mote in love with MK2 on my snes. 3 was meh (no scorpion) and i think i peaked with trilogy. Playing as shokahn and kintoro was just the best. But list my interest with it after the 3d transfer phase. Too much changed. All the moves changed, even scorpion harpoon changed away from back,back high punch, i was like WHY!.
I still tried 5 and sholin monks but slowly but surly i just lost the love. I havnt played any of the mortal kombats for a long time.
But just watching your videos and listening to your diehard enthusiasm for the franchise has re-ignited that enthusiasm i had as a young boy, teenager and young man. You have sold me. I am and will be purchasing MK12.

MK11 was my first ever Mortal Kombat and I’m so excited to see passionate knowledgeable fans of the series, feels like i can catch up on what I’ve been missing!
I personally loved Mk3. The first two were great introductions, but the gameplay and awesome new character set of MK3 with Smoke, Cyrax, Sektor etc was just awesome.
Ultimate mortal kombat trilogy and mk x.

MkX: Kombat mechanism and most brutal
Mk11: story and customization
And in the end, in my opinion, MK9 had a balance between all these good points and is the best mk game
MK Deception had the best story of all MK games. Not to mention I think they nailed the whole MK ROG style pretty well. Wish they would bring back this style of Konquest mode back to the series.
I also truly loved MK Mythologies. Not that the game didn’t have clunky controls that made it so frustrating to finish but the world building it did was pretty great. The settings of each level are interesting, the lore it brings to MK is great, and the story alone is interesting and enjoyable. You shit on it a bit too much IMO.

I don’t know why MK9’s story keeps getting overlooked. Yeah it’s not perfect, but it really puts things in perspective of the whole series. The fact that Raiden is having a Crisis of faith is such a cool idea. Sucks the other recent games didn’t follow it.

My first Mk game I got was MkX. I got it when it first released and by far it’s my favourite. To this day I still play it.

I would love to see a Shaolin monks 2 But maybe this time with scorpion and subzero teaming up they can call it fire and ice or i would love to see them do a remaster of Mortal Kombat 9
