She is both the farthest thing and yet can be the closest thing to Queen Elizabeth there is. It really is a measure of how incredibly she acts when you see the totally normal, goofy as can be, next door neighbor type of person she is in reality when it’s the last personality you’d ever guess for her when watching her in a role. Love her and HBC’s banter! Theyre hilarious together and so different.

When someone rags on Hollywood( and rightfully so) just remember that there are people like Olivia Colman in Hollywood and she is lovely. She doesn’t deserve to be lumped in with the nutters. 💕

She is a great actress! I can only think of one American who measures yp to her. Maybe 2. Was she really pregnant during night watch? I’m guessing she was!

  30. Jack Mahanes on August 10, 2021 at 10:28 pm

I caved and switched to predicting Jennifer Aniston the night before the Globes. I was routing hard for Olivia Colman, but at the last minute thought the hype for Aniston was too strong. I’m so happy I was wrong! Colman is just amazing!

  31. EudaimoniaStarkid on August 10, 2021 at 10:29 pm

I would’ve given this to her just for Queen E2’s reaction to hearing about the Princess’s American visit: "… I don’t know where to begin." <Queen suffers a mild stroke>

  32. mayelaine2 on August 10, 2021 at 10:30 pm

An award well deserved. I watched her performance on Favourite, and Crown and I can truly say she is very good. She has this elegance and sadness which fit very well in the role of queens. The only thing is, I would like her to at least prepare a speech? Every time she wins an award I get very happy but as soon as she starts talking, I get a bit cringey and embarrassed for her 😓 accept your award with pride! You deserve it!

Is Olivia wearing the exact same dress or not, that Frances Mcdormand wore presenting her Oscar to her??? Me thinks YES? Anyone?

  50. SetArtists Artists on August 10, 2021 at 10:54 pm

Literally, she gave her acceptance speech in the same format as her Oscar speech!
