Frigidaire is piece of JUNK, I bought a FFTR1835VW and in 4 months it broke down. The freezer portion is completely out and doesn’t freeze. I have 1 year Manufacturer warranty and 3 year extra warranty from Lowes. The Electrolux who is the parent company send a technician to my house and he said I was his last appointment and was tired already and after he pulled the fridge out he saw one cockroach and said this refrigerator has infestation. I was standing right there and only saw one roach. He told me they would change this controller board but he LIED to me and after I contacted their service department, they said this Fridge is not covered for warranty and you have to call Exterminators and to give them a proof of receipt. They said they will not accept me cleaning it out. I have checked the back and honestly there is no infestation just some dust and again this is only 4 months old. Now neither Electrolux nor Lowes will fix it because Lowes tells me that the first 12 months should be covered by Electrolux!!!…..To make the story short, I have been with their customer service for over 10 hours on the wait calls and they continue to refuse service. I have reached out to the Electrolux Management team (Rita Moss, Garret Berry and even the CEO) but no one returns or responds back. I have even asked them to show me the pictures that their technician took to compare it against mine by they refuse. They don’t want to see the pictures that I have taken either…..This is the most sinister, fraudulent company I have dealt with.
Please DO NOT BUY THIS PIECE OF JUNK. You will regret your purchase. Buy another brand that will stand behind their product.
Researched frigerators for a month,and for this size…it was the best one i came across,and frigidaire IS the top selling brand,and best reputation out there. LG and Samsung just cant compete pricewise with this legendary name. I got it for 527.00,origionally 680.00. I did good!!
