I ordered a new rugged Oukitel WP6. Great specs. Android 9 Pie and Helio p70 octacore which scores around 170000 points in Antutu.128Gb Rom, 6Gb RAM, 10000mAh, 6,3" ips screen with fhd+ res, rear camera 48mp+5mp+2mp with flash, front camera 16mp with face unlock, Side fingerprint scanner. I dropped it screen first from waist height onto tile floor and no damage to the phone at all.
People think we smash our phones against walls and dunk them just for fun… it’s an insurance policy! I can buy a brand new tough phone for the cost of a Samsung replacement screen!
No 5g? I don’t use data, but it’s apparently going to be used for voice now.

Sonim XP8 on the way. Ancient in tech years but I drop more than I need the latest features. The XP8 is replacing a Kyocera Brigadier which has survived countless drops.
They will continue to make rugged phones slimmer and lighter until they aren’t rugged anymore.

I own a Cat S61. Very nice specs. But mine had way too many problems. Water in the housing (behind screen and Laser glass). Battery problems (severe!), VOC sensor not working. I returned the phone 5 times!! In fact: The phone was more time in repair than it was in my pocket. That’s onacceptable.
The last time I had to return the S61 for repairs, I bought a Blackview BV9800 Pro. No fancy laser distance meter, no hymidity sensor, no VOC sensor. But it does have fingerprint scanner, Qi charging, fast charging, way bigger battery AND it also has FLIR (so I don’t have to miss that one). Bonus: price is just 50% of the S61.
Just one minor thing about the BV9800 Pro: video recording directly to SD-card is buggy with the inbuilt camera app. But another free camera app from the app store solves that problem.

Hi now only I like rugged smartphone because the very first time I got to know about dragon smartphones before that I didn’t no about rugged smartphone subcategory and when I saw the first videos they were not attractive whatsoever second time videos not bad as the first ever video that I watched of rugged smartphone still they were not fully active because they were missing out in some figure and software performance camera performance worse still disappointing even it wasn’t still not disappointing as the first videos I watch about rugged smartphone That was the time I bought a new smartphone when the yes went on and I watched summer videos about rugged smartphone I found out and noticed that rugged smartphone vah getting better and better but still not attractive and to flagship main line smartphone quality level an attractive yet but one day unexpectedly I came rugged smartphone getting closer and closer to main line flagship smartphone and then one day when I watched videos about rugged smartphone I unexpectedly came across active rugged smartphone when it came to the camera list of the software performance and all other features mainline smartphone and flagship smartphones have those very rugged phone model Also had as main line flat ship model head and very attractive and interesting model rugged smartphone but majority most amount of those particular rugged phone models very expensive or expensive in general and like I mentioned unexpectedly after set number of years past I got a surprise I found a budget rugged what was attractive entisi And desirable because not only because it is a foldable by being in the budget category it also had some features what were mediocre and average and least limited but what work for main line smartphone features and overall design was attractive enticing and desirable bhai all I said I need your expertise and help as a advisor because in this video usse instead of testing rugged smartphone importance is to understand the rating what make it actual rugged smartphone because of that can you find out some information about this particular rugged smartphone for me what is called cubot quest budget Rugged smartphone like I mentioned it would helpful and useful for me bayou you chicken out this Cuba Quest model of rugged smartphone see you will be in touch whenever later back again
Sure you can. They still use 3 year old processors, are overpriced and use older operating system versions as well as lacking in updates of the os and security updates. Also compatibility with networks. The only rugged phone that slightly appeals to me is the galaxy xcover pro but it uses a slug of an exynos processor and is still $500 over a year later and is not fully compatible with some networks. The rest are worse. So until there are way better rugged phones there are plenty of reasons to ignore them. Better off with a cheap phone in a rugged case. If any of the top brands came out with a good mid range not overpriced rugged phone I would seriously consider it.

Wireless charging is good. Without the covers, IP68 or not, the connectors will corrode so the companies can sell more devices. The only reason for non user replaceable batteries is so the companies can make more money selling devices. Fast charging sounds good, but it destroys batteries so the companies can sell more devices. The circuits for the batteries are designed to over charge and over discharge the batteries so the companies can sell more devices. It is always about more money.

Having a Phone WITHOUT a removable Battery is just Stupid…I hate having a phone 1 year old that has a 5 minute call/battery life… My Current Phone LGV20 has served well for 5 years, and needed 4 batteries in that time. I am NOT buying a 500-1200 Dollar paperweight every year!
i liked the Kyocera Duraforce pro 1 really good. It’s just the screen is like 1 inch too small wide and tall and its slow performance wise. Then with the Duraforce 2 they make the screen smaller with those stupid touch screen buttons that get you stuck in fullscreen and don’t respond when you have water on your hands.
Bring back the mechanical buttons, please!!
Rugged smartphones with huge batteries are great and all and i’ve had a few of those but never ever recieved an ota update with a newer android version. Why are chinese rugged phone manufacturers not releasing new android versions for their customers phones? Must i really go back to buying non rugged phones to achieve this?

Great video. First responders are moving away from radios and going towards smart phones. I used one when I worked in EMS. I’m in law enforcement now and trying to convince my chief to move us to the smart phones we had in FirstNet with EMS. They were pretty great.
