civilised 6 I can’t get on with it, the ones before no problems

  2. Runplays in HD on July 2, 2021 at 1:34 am

these games are so childish comparing to the PC strategy games of 90s. So many great titles, like Warcraft, Startcraft, Command and Conquer, Alpha Centrauri, Age of Empire, Age of Wonders, Heroes of Might and Magic, Homeworld, Gettysburg, Myth, Black and White, Star Control. Master of Orion, Tycoon series, Sims, Xcom, Zeus, Commandos, Total Annihilation, Tropico and many others. THOSE were strategy games, now its more like mobile phone games

    That frostpunk looks quality –

Stellaris fits right into this list. I am surprised it works so well on ps4 honestly. Great game with an insane amount of depth. Also, Age of Wonders: Planetfall (basically civ and xcom mixed in together).

  6. Slash on July 2, 2021 at 1:36 am

Need to get back to xcom 2 enjoyed it alot but never finished was too hard make the wrong upgrades and it’s game over.

Might give cities skyline a try, it’s been in my library for ages now and games like farming sim. I also have Dungeons 2 that I need to play was told it was similar to dungeon keeper.

Just a strategy game that I enjoyed was Sudden Strike 4 Complete Edition got the platinum for it was rather difficult felt more like a puzzle game at times thinking of how to hit the enemy’s weak points, it plays ok on console abit difficulty to control being a PC game but you get used to it, never been a huge fan of the series was more into Command & Conquer with the base building that was my favourite, played a few of the Sudden Strike games in the past on PC but now a PlayStation gamer.

Was wondering if anyone has played Constructor HD on ps4 that was a game I loved as a kid on PC, is it as good as the original?

  7. Travis Reptile on July 2, 2021 at 1:37 am

Gonna get hated for it I think, but my fav "strat" is the RTS segments of Brutal Legend. Absolutely loved that game and those segments were such a good boss battle to the main content.

  8. The Hero of Goats on July 2, 2021 at 1:37 am

Xcom2 is one of my top 10 games ever

  9. Alpha Draconis 989 on July 2, 2021 at 1:38 am

Great to see some strategy coming to console with surprisingly good ports. You missed Stellaris though!

  11. Troy Green on July 2, 2021 at 1:41 am

Was a little bit of Golam slipping out at roughly the 4 min mark? " O shout up civ"?

  12. jojohaj1087 on July 2, 2021 at 1:41 am

I just beat Xcom 2 and that game was so addicting that I think I spent 40 hours give or take a few and each time I played it was like 4-12 hours at a time… 😅 Such a good game!!!

  13. BritishManDan on July 2, 2021 at 1:41 am

  19. Da Green Thing on July 2, 2021 at 1:44 am

I’m really hoping they remaster or remake crash bash from the PS1 and or crash tag team racing from the PS2 maybe one day we’ll be able to play these with better graphics and a few more things to it like online

  20. PocketMonsterHuntr on July 2, 2021 at 1:44 am

nice list, I’ve gotten the X COM 2 platinum, grabbed Cities Skylines while it was available on ps+ and everything else here apart from Sims 4 looks right up my alley, especially Frostpunk

  21. jennypea 93 on July 2, 2021 at 1:50 am

Even though I love Playstation, I much prefer playing strategy games on PC cause the controls are easier. I tried the Sims 4 on PS4 and was like nope, and bought it on PC 😅

  32. Peter Penguin on July 2, 2021 at 2:04 am

Cities Skylines is an amazing city-building strategy game 👍 Highly recommend it. Theme Hospital looks really fun – must get it at some point… My backlog of unplayed games is too big at the moment. So many games, so little time 🙃🙏

  33. Zaki Atan on July 2, 2021 at 2:05 am

  34. Adam on July 2, 2021 at 2:07 am

ok watching this put a thought into my head, so does anyone else think Dr stone would make a good strategy/simulation game, maybe something like DQ builders?

This war of Mine!! From the creators of Frostpunk, so you can imagine… another depressing and hard strategy game. 10/10

  40. ImMagnetz on July 2, 2021 at 2:18 am

Rob, my friend, no Sim could ever match your unbridled beauty. 😀

I’m giving a shout out to PLAGUE INC.
You play as a disease and your goal is to infect the planet and kill off the ENTIRE population.
There’s various disease types (bacteria, prion, even a zombie virus!), and you have to evolve yourself so you can infect in various ways (animals, airborne, water soluble, etc). All while WHO researches for a cure to stop you. Then it’s Game over.
Might be a little ‘too real’ in current times, but I think it’s right up Rob’s alley.
Killing npc’s is one thing, but wiping out humanity? C’mon Rob, give it a go!

  44. Alexandros Panag on July 2, 2021 at 2:21 am

Forget putting myself in XCOM 2. Right now, I have Geralt of Rivia, Deadpool, Daredevil and Buffy Summers on my squad. Phineas Welles is working in my science division and Elizabet Sobek is in engineering.

  49. Handrea Alexandru on July 2, 2021 at 2:28 am

Valkyra Chronicles 4 was an amazing experience

  50. starsystems on July 2, 2021 at 2:32 am
