How well does the steam cleaning work? I was surprised to see that steam cleaning is the only cleaning option. What if something burns on?

Why would an $900 range come without instructions? And when I google Airbake or Convection oven to get help I get nothing. This is very frustrating!

I just bought the free standing version of this oven, but it doesn’t come with anything to tell me how to use the options. I got a "user manual" but it’s the size of a newspaper insert and is very basic and vague. I have difficulty finding info on how to use the options and what best to cook with them.

  4. Aaron L on June 26, 2021 at 2:05 am

My wife records videos while cooking. Does this have a fan that would get picked up by the microphone? The Samsung has an always in fan whenever the oven is in use and it is audible on any recording.

Installed the earlier generation GE Profile Induction range in a remodel in 2014. It’s very similar, but had the earlier control panel, which was totally fine, and no WiFi options, which was also just fine for me. I sold that home, and the range with it. In my new home, I thought aid save some cash, and purchased a “scratch and dent” Induction Range from Kitchen Aid. It has a great look too, and I thought saving $1500 was a great score. Well, after a year of frustration, I’m TOSSING the Kitchen Aid for the GE Profile Induction Range. The K.A. Induction works fine, fast, and I DO like the auto-simmer modes. However … the burner controls in the center of the cooktop are a MAJOR annoyance!! If a splash of sauce or water lands on one of the power or burner buttons, the whole damn cooktop shuts off!! If you occasionally need to use the glass cooktop space for countertop overflow, as in prepping a salad, if you happen to allow a produce bag to lay over a burner control button, it beeps at you until you remove the offending bag. Lastly, the self cleaning function is pure junk. The GE had a long, hot cleaning cycle, which does a great job of cleaning. The 45 minute K.A. Is worthless. Now, MAYBE it would work if you cleaned after every roasted chicken or other splattering baking adventure, but I find this too annoying to accept any longer.
In fairness, the gliding oven racks are smooth and sturdy, which I like, and the lower storage drawer is useful, but the worst bit is the controls. Just be very aware of this.
I considered going to a knob control unit, but as you said here, cleanup of the knobs can be a chore, and a simple wipe down of the panel is SO much simpler. Glass cleaner and a microfiber rag and the entire range sparkles. SOLD!! Cant wait for my new GE to arrive!! 🙌🏻

Those the stove comes with the air fryer basket??? The other brands it doesn’t come with it and you have to pay over $50 dollars extra.

I just got the GE Profile 5 burner one (with the griddle/ grill option) and it’s the best!!!! Saving up for the flat profile microwave/air vent combo for next year!

Can I update my three year old GE Profile range to what You have? I received an update last week, my oven has new features only accessible through the app only.
If you could send me any data you know. 😎
P.S. I have the same GE Profile range that you show in your video, just 2018 ish.

  9. Nader ALSHARIF on June 26, 2021 at 2:23 am

What is the hight of the range

  10. mrwormtester on June 26, 2021 at 2:26 am

    No knobs – genius!

  11. Kathleen Garrity on June 26, 2021 at 2:26 am

Thanks for the video. I would have like to see the inside of the oven though. 🙂

Thanks for this video! I saw it for the first time today at Bray & Scarff and I’m really excited about it but was hesitant b/c of the price. Based on your video I think I’m going to go for it. Thanks

    Love the vid
Just got my PHS930BPTS today, front right burner is supposed to be the "power boil" (front right) but I am having issues.
If the pot is a bit too small it seems to not want to boil (stalled at 185*) if the pot is bigger it seems to work, but still takes 20+ min to reach boiling temps. More than a qt of water, but not much more.

Not finding many great resources for help.

Please Please do not preheat your oven via Wi-Fi when you are away from home. I am currently in the market for a new range because I was preheating my oven a week ago. The oven beeped when it reached the desired temperature of 400 degrees, but I was busy with something else and didn’t put the bread in right then. Ten minutes later, the range itself and my fire alarm were shrieking and smoke was boiling out. There was nothing actually on fire. The oven was just SO HOT! I actually had no idea an oven was capable of that heat. It was terrifying. The "it should never reach the temperature of the sun" safety feature stopped working. BTW, I appreciate your video as I am going to be replacing all four of my kitchen appliances, and I am trying to gather as much info as possible.

My experience is with the GE Profile PGS930BP1TS. The stove top is great – very flexible – simmer and fast boil both work well. The oven is more problematic- the steam clean is a joke. And the high-temperature clean caused the oven controls to die completely. GE did replace the unit ( apparently parts aren’t available), but I am hesitant to try a self-clean again.

hot surface light stays on GE PSS93YPFS stove. Is there anything I can do

  17. Catherine Mohr on June 26, 2021 at 2:38 am

Does the cook top have a lip or boarder around it to prevent spills from dripping down the sides? Are the side panels finished to put this unit on an end piece? Thanks for the review video, really helped!

  18. samgraves2 on June 26, 2021 at 2:39 am

Mentioned the air fryer in the title and then didn’t even review it. :/

  19. Nigar Mammadova on June 26, 2021 at 2:41 am

Burner left on low and was covered with a drying mat, it melted and stuck to the glass, when cleaned it left dents on the glass as if someone hit it with the hammer. Why would anything melted on the surface of the glass the chips on the glass? Can the glasstop be replaced?

  20. Paul Gribbon on June 26, 2021 at 2:45 am

Been using this stove for less than a week and already the touch control panel is not working. Waiting on a service call…..

  21. Chris Wilson on June 26, 2021 at 2:46 am

    I hate spood fills

  22. Amy Tuzzolino on June 26, 2021 at 2:48 am

I was hoping you’d talk more about the actual air fryer option hah. Good video though, thanks.

  23. Lisa Johnson on June 26, 2021 at 2:49 am

I just purchased this range. My range has a fan noise going all the time … Even when using just the cooktop. Is this normal?

  24. Ronald Comeau on June 26, 2021 at 2:50 am

    Yes best oven EVER

  25. Andrew Doolittle on June 26, 2021 at 2:51 am

Full service outdoor kitchen is the "upgrade" we want here.

  26. Justin Barker on June 26, 2021 at 2:51 am

Air Fryer is just a buzz word so not-so-bright people pay more for things. There is no functional difference between the two. Several channels have done comparisons.

  27. Jacque Schaller on June 26, 2021 at 2:52 am

Love this stove! Thanks for sharing!

  28. Caleb Clark on June 26, 2021 at 2:53 am

Does it slide over the countertop ? I thought that was the point ?
