I got Belkin’s Car Vent Mount PRO with MagSafe from Apple Store and I tested it to see if the mount can hold my iPhone 12 Pro Max.

    Yes I waited over a month for this also but it also only works with cases that have magnets built in or the MagSafe cases covers for iPhone I have a clear case and wouldn’t hold and I also have a otterbox reg case but you need a otterbox that has MagSafe built in in order to hold 😑

    The Belkin Unit is a POS… It will not stay on the vents and continually falls off. Yesterday it fall off and my iPhone 12 Pro Max screeen was smashed!!! $500 to replace and Apple nor Belkin is stepping up. Do Not Buy it!

    One of the frustrating things about wireless charging, is that when you are driving a trip using waze or Maps, the phone will discharge quicker than it will charge over the course of five or six hours.

    Apple’s MagSafe doesn’t always align perfect. I’ve had mine fall a few times. Next flaw, 2018 f150, the holder eventually slips out of the vent and falls. Next flaw, the mount doesn’t have enough tension and the pivot vibrates down. Next flaw, no charger, it has a goofy cable wrap in the back. I now own an expensive piece of junk.

    Does anyone know if there are third party solutions to add the magnetic function of magsafe to older iPhones that work with this nount? Mophie has some magnetic thing for sale, but I don‘t know if it works with this mount?

    Who cares that it doesn’t charge wirelessly?! Your phone will be sitting there in the car. Just plug a cord into the bottom of it! What else are you going to be using the charger port for?! This thing is sick! Super strong! Just what us pro max users need! THANKS FOR SHOWING US HOW STRONG THE MAGNETS ACTUALLY ARE! Just bought one from Best Buy!
