can you review the JBL 9.1 Atmos soundbar

  6. Fencek on January 16, 2021 at 3:38 am

Samsung Q90R is so bad with so many issues. Suggest you guys check the AV forums or any review on Youtube. Rather spend the money for the Ambeo and get much better sound than deal with the far inferior Samsung Q90R.

Nothing that I love more than… The best of test comparisons. I think sound bars are a brilliant concept. Especially for those who either don’t have the space, nor want the hassle of separates. But, being from my era, where today to much emphasis gets put on… convenience, so many will lose out on what phenomenal sound really is. And that’s a shame. For, no matter how great the picture is, if the sound doesn’t move you, envelope you, then you’ll always come away, slightly disappointed. Great article.

  12. Adonis Foto on January 16, 2021 at 3:45 am

What is the point of a "sound bar" if you have all those peripheral speakers around…. you can achieve the exact same result with an all speaker set up

  13. RedLeo3000 on January 16, 2021 at 3:45 am

Your number 3 would be my number one, because the sound for movies and music is amazing and the base on it is through the roof !!! so you don’t need a sub woofer, it is the true meaning of a sound bar because there are no other speakers needed at all !!! and luckily I can afford the $2500 cost.

  14. Petemax on January 16, 2021 at 3:51 am

such distracting background music, I did not listen even for 10 seconds. why on earth u have to choose such music to compete with your own commentary?

  15. Leo Samaco on January 16, 2021 at 3:51 am

Great job for a school project video! Bet you got top marks. And look at that views counter. Cool! 🙂 😀

My Yamaha YSP-2500 finally starting to act out now. Gonna have to get new sound bar soon. Any suggestions on sound bars with price range $1000?

  21. Alberto Pilot on January 16, 2021 at 3:58 am

Good review BUT … I gave you a thumb down simply because you’ve mixed 2 "pure" soundbars (postion 4 and 3) with 2 "soundbard systems" that comprehend also the back/rear discrete channel offered as a set with the soundbar and subwoofer. This is not fair, because it’s obviuously that phisical speakers can make a bettere job that virtual one (that take advantage of the wall reflections, and so if the room is not geometrical "perfect", the result is different from installation to installation).
You have compared apples with potatoes. Not good, even if the video is excellent.

Hi needs your review with pro and con on Samsung HW Q60R , if not something similar within that budget range

  24. Total plonker on January 16, 2021 at 4:01 am

Just to set the record straight no matter what Dolby Atmos enabled soundbar or even a AV receiver you purchase, you will not be able to receive Dolby Atmos content while steaming, the best your TV will be able to decode would be Dolby d Plus! don’t get me wrong it’s still very good, but it is not Dolby Atmos (object-based audio) the only way one would be able to experience Dolby Atmos content though a TV would be through a Blu-ray player!
If you really want to be able to stream Dolby Atmos content, one would need a oled tv or at least a premium atmos decoding tv and with Atmos being proprietary i would imagine one would certainly be aware of it!
    Hope this helps

  25. Nader on January 16, 2021 at 4:01 am

And Sonos arc isn’t number one sir I think you miss that one by a mile buddy

  26. Cecilio Thomas on January 16, 2021 at 4:01 am

why spend so much, onn dolby atmos soundbar just cost 299 at walmart and deliver a home theater quality in sound and realism, you will love it when you try it, hurry up, it won’t last longer, for 299? no way😁..

  27. anthony montalvo on January 16, 2021 at 4:02 am

  29. Tom Camp on January 16, 2021 at 4:04 am

Very good review. If I can give some feedback, bring your bass in your voice at around 120hz down a decent amount. It is super bass heavy and compressed. Give a tiny boost at 8K too.

  30. Aaron Lapointe on January 16, 2021 at 4:04 am

You need to put prices on all of them

    I took the Ambeo..soo nice😄

  33. general cohan on January 16, 2021 at 4:07 am

Samsung is good at marketing and pricing. Horrible company didn’t give a chromecast in the speaker not allowing me to join my Google home . Trying to push smart-things and Bixby down my throat makes it the horrible company run by evil marketing guys with no ethics

Im not sure whom your target audience is when you review $2000+ soundbars, but I feel that your prospective audience will not be following your channel!

  43. Tadeh K on January 16, 2021 at 4:26 am

Great video, just purchased 75" OLED Q8. Do you recommend the Samsung Q800T priced at $750?

  44. Olivier Delamarre on January 16, 2021 at 4:28 am

Such a pile of crap, no interesting information about connectivity, nor specs, nor interface, nor codecs, just a collection of PR videos edited with stock footage of people doing their best to convincingly act like there is any kind of work being done. I have a doubt though, the long shot at 00’50 of the two pimped up interns trying to pretend they have a lot of fascinating things to demonstrate about waving markers around a blank whiteboard, this looks so crappy and vile that you might have actually filmed it yourselves. Oh brushed gray aluminum is passé and a lot of speakers require a lot of room, thanks for the review. The selection is crap, only two products are somewhat relevant, as they sometimes appear as bottom choices in other, documented, serious comparisons.

Then again, making a "best of 2020" video in July 2019 is kinda misleading and bitchy, isn’t it? Luring people into watching this is obviously a greater concern than providing accurate, useful information. But if there are people out there willing to take advice from a brilliant audiophile specialist who records his reviews on a phone while sitting on the john, then be it.

    Nakamichi, earc?

  46. Sonny Savage on January 16, 2021 at 4:29 am

I have the Samsung Q90R and tbh I was expecting this thing to be at least able to do basic Dolby Atmos as my past experiences with Samsung audio equipment was not great, but I wanted something at least from a 7.1.2 ch and up system. So, I bought this model a Samsung dealer told me this model was the one to be developed by Harmon Kardon and not to touch any of the other Samsung soundbars because they are absolute crap, including the newest one, the HW-Q950T!

Well, after I set it up fully and used HDMI (ARC) back to my Dolby Atmos 4K TV, I was blown away by how clear, loud and undistorted the audio was with music, movie formats and also wireless streaming over the internet! Not to mention it is Alexa and Google Play ready too!

Now I’ve had done cranking audio systems in my time that were a full sized 7.2ch Dolby Digital Plus etc….but this soundbar blew me away with how clear, sharp and how quality all audio formats sound on her! The bass is tight and punchy with no horrid plastic flapping, or distortion either. A great well built soundbar that has definately got the thumbs up from my fussey audiophile ears!

  50. Joshua Lieder on January 16, 2021 at 4:32 am

I wonder if I can afford any of these…no prices included. Its ludicrous that most cost as much as my new tv.
