Norh Pyramids had 4 4.5 inch drivers ad were definitely bookshelf size. they just sucked ass as well.
Just got this, thanks for the recommendation to forgo the center speaker & push it to the front two. Gonna implement that into my setup.

got this 5.0 set for $250, paired it with a Klipsch 10” R100SW
That center channel is the S81. There’s a bigger S82 center.

What if you upgraded the center channel to the Jamo C 9 CEN II. 4" woofers still but drive them with a little more power?

why are these atmos speakers sold at outrages prices, All I see is a single mid range driver ! Shouldn’t be worth more than 50-100 bucks a pair at max…
90db is really not a bad sensitivity though. Maybe in reality they are lower than their measurement?

center channel…a center must have the same tonality as the left and right. listen to each channel with the calibration tone. the three front (L, C, and ,R) speakers NEED to sound virtually the same. and have you noticed that some centers are quite costly. as you said, the center carries all on-screen dialog. the center speaker isn’t one to scrimp on. i think you have made that sufficiently clear but it doesn’t hurt to reiterate it.

@Z Reviews +Z Reviews would you recommend this full system (809 towers+ 803s + center channel + 801s) at $299 versus klipsch RP-250F where they costs $250 per speaker just the fronts (then id need at least a center too) ? Im new to fidelity and movie theater and I like the design of these Jamo they are gorgeous! (why cant other brands make this design as well) but worried these are not good?

I like not using a centre channel for reasons you mention and demonstrate, but man it’s just too hard to hear dialogue most of the time.
Ill stick with b&w 603 s1 20 years old but cant bare too upgrade them
