@Engadget – Thank you for the lovely video. Very informative. I do have one question, though: does there currently exist an AMD unit that’s 15 inches, has a decent colour gamut display with at least 300 nits, has a Numpad, is convertible, has upgradeable RAM and has LTE?

  9. Victoria Allen on January 7, 2021 at 1:19 am

The Lenovo has doubled in price in five weeks.

  10. Karla Kirkpatrick on January 7, 2021 at 1:20 am

The only thing missing is the lighted keyboard a cool white glow would work best.

  11. Russel RulezYT on January 7, 2021 at 1:24 am

Acer Nitro 5 is the Best Option!!!

  12. Sergei Iurtaev on January 7, 2021 at 1:25 am

Ryzen 3 plus Vega graphics looks like a better choice for that price. If you look better performance. And yeah, we have small 4K touch screens, we have big 4K displays in TVs, but in the laptop – no.

Omg finally a video that actually recommends budget laptops and not 700$ beasts and calling them budget. As a student I rlx appreciate that

  17. Sam Moon on January 7, 2021 at 1:32 am

Thank you for actually adding budget laptops. Wherever you look, you always see big tech youtubers talking about budget laptops for students, but 30 seconds into the video, they’re like, "This laptop is so good, and it only costs 1000$!"

  18. J-Ving on January 7, 2021 at 1:34 am

Hello! I am Mary Diane B. Amurao, a 2nd year student of BS Accountancy in Batangas State University Main Campus I, a consistent honor student from elementary to senior high school and a Dean’s Lister for the academic year 2019-2020, knocking on your hearts to please support me to the drive Piso Para sa Online Class which will help me a lot to l let me finish my journey amidst this time of pandemic, for the start of the academic year 2020-2021. My siblings are all no work no pay, my mother is a housewife and my father’s wage is enough for us to buy our everyday food which sometimes shorts but then we tend to survive. The online class will be done through online and we cannot afford to buy the gadgets needed. I am joining this campaign to gain funds to buy a laptop whether it is a brand new one or not I am willingly going to take it as long as I can use it to my online learning. Your every one peso counts

Got the Dell Inspiron 7591 2-in-1 back in January for $750. 512GB SSD, 8GB RAM, Full HD screen, fingerprint, Backlit keyboard, and one USB C thunderbolt port along with 2 USB A ports, micro SD card slot, and HDMI port. Not bad. Last time I had a laptop was 2012.

I really would not recommend a celeron or pentium for young people. Go with better specs and accept the plastic construction.
