My Elitebook 840 g2 is an old brilliant machine. Ain’t fancy and is a durability beast.
Aced aspire 5 slim can be sold as low as 313. Currently 349 but can go on sale. Has a bought it at 313 and upgraded the ram. Great entry level computer with 128gb ssd and 4 gb ram. Ryzen 3 and ips screen. Easy to upgrade. Or jump up to the ryzen 5 for 500

This is junk advice, get an old upgradeable Thinkpad and don’t be afraid anyone would ever steal your laptop.
