Bought this soundbar about two weeks ago. Bass is great but when watching movies it could be hard to understand what is being said. Any vocals are drowned out by other sounds when watching scenes with a lot of action. Looking at other pages and forums it seems like other people are having the same problem with this soundbar. If you want a more well rounded soundbar for watching movies and not just listening to music I would look elsewhere.

This or the Bose TV Speaker?
I’ve had this soundbar for about two months now and its great for music listening, but doesn’t impress when watching movies. For some reason, vocals just sound muffled especially during action scenes where there is a lot going on. Turning off Smart Mode helps a little bit, but not enough. The bass from the 6.5 inch sub WILL shake your house though!
Thanks for this review! Will get this for xmas for myself. Walmart even has it on sale right now below 299. Now to find myself NEW 75"-85" TV to go w/it!

Hello, how would you compare the overall sound quality between JBL 2.1 Deep Bass and JBL 5.1 Surround? You made the JBL 5.1 Surround review earlier and you were not happy with the mids over there – are they similar to the JBL 2.1 Deep Bass? I’m leaning towards the more surrousd sound option in the JBL 5.1 Surround and some bass is much appreciated, but for sure I am not a bass maniac. What would you recommend?

Im really confused between samsung Q70R and JBL deep bass and Sony HT-X9000S mainly for home movies and games .CAN U HELP ME ?

I am really hesitant to buy this cause my tv has no hdmi arc and only has aux ports, 3.5 audio in and s/pdif out ports. I dont know if this soundbar would even work on my tv.
How would this sound bar compare to the new Bose TV speaker? Because from experience Bose audio quality is significantly better than JBL but, Bose lacks base compared to JBL since you need a additional module for the bar if you really want to enchase the base.

That Q60T is going for $249.00 Locally with subwoofer the 8500 add-on speakers are an extra 139.00 US $ …Wondering is the Samsung a good choice for use with TV ‘s other than Samsung?

Hi, I have a question.
I currently have the Bar 2.1, not the deep bass version. This one has the Auto Off Bug, where the bar turns off automatically if the sound is too quiet or completely off. So it takes about 2 seconds until the sound is back. So the sound is always cut off, which just ruins the sound experience.
Is this bug also present in the deep bass version? The bug always occurred in PCM mode, so it would be good to know if this bug has been fixed with the new model.

This product JBL 2.1 deep bass or samsung HW Q60T soundbar. . Price for both in india is JBL is INR 20k, and samsung is INR 23k on Amazon/flipkart.
