Reviewing the best budget smartphones with a price under £200 here in the UK, for Spring 2022. I’ve fully tested a selection of favourite cheap phones including the Moto G31, Xiaomi Poco X3 Pro and Redmi Note 11, Nokia G50 and G21, plus other top affordable phones. My reviews start with Motorola mobiles, including the Moto G31 with its OLED screen (a rare feature at this budget price). It’s one of the best for media fans, despite the limited performance. Alternatively the Moto G50 and G22 are also great options.
The Nokia G21 and G1 are the best for stock Android fans who want the reassurance of future updates. Meanwhile Xiaomi has several smartphones in this round-up of the best budget blowers in 2022, including the Redmi Note 11. One of my personal favourites with fairly dependable camera tech, aside from the poor video recording support.
Don’t sleep on Poco either – that X3 Pro is still an absolute blinder, while the Poco M4 Pro 5G will suit those on a strict budget who demand strong specs.

I want a solid phone software and hardware. There’s no brand that stands out quality. My Samsung is 3yo and has issues here and there but still usable.

The Redmi Note 11S 5G is out, and I haven’t seen a review for it in this channel "It’s basically the same as POCO M4 Pro 5G.
There’s another phone called POCO M4 5G, which that phone has respectable specs "With Android 12 pre installed"

I have a redmi note 11 as a work phone still find it mad my cheap chinese phone has bigger battery and fast charging than my flagship personal phone and outlasts it by a country mile.
When are flagships actually gonna focus on efficiency couldn’t give 2 fucks about how they boosted there antutu score by 15% if the battery life is even worse than a year ago.
If the cheap Chinese phones took as good photos i wouldn’t even have a reason to buy flagships no more they literally do everything a flagship does except take great pics.
The worst phones on this video got to be both Nokia’s. Terrible screens and cheap plastic on camera module gets scratched in a few days, also terrible bad underpowered chips. Don’t consider those two HMD Global Nokia’s at all.

one thing I’m disappointed with budget phones now is they very few use glass backs like in 2018 so personally I prefer the redmi note 10 pro and poco x4 pro 5g to be good phones under 250quid
