  4. panczenPL on April 23, 2022 at 6:53 pm

another rubbish and misleading video based on manufacturers` advertising brochure. By making videos like this one you are encouraging people to flush their money down the toilet by choosing builds filled with proprietary parts or suffering form thermal throttling. Dislike.

  5. Anth on April 23, 2022 at 6:54 pm

So much utter BS. Both the Corsair and the Alienware thermal throttle, because of their poor cooling design. They can’t achieve the BS claims of performance.

We just received a new R12 purchased during Black Friday at a substantial discount. The system is an 11th Gen Intel Core i7 11700F, RTX 3060Ti, 512GB M.2, 16GB, 2x8GB, DDR4, 3200MHz all of this for only $980 (without tax) with discounts! This was an insane deal. Unfortunately, the water-cooled option was not available for the system deal. We have the Dark Side of the Moon cool which does not have the same lighting options as the White system. This is fine as the system would be positioned such that the lights would not be seen. The system looks good but like many have mentioned it has cooling issues. We have the system raised on a mesh stand with plenty of room for cooling. We first noticed the fans making a clicking noise while idling! I checked to make sure all fans are working and they are. We completed all updates and with nothing running while on idle the system CPU keeps jumping from 62° to 100° Celsius while the CPU performance is bouncing around the lowest to the highest. This is occurring while the system is idling without anything installed yet and no overclocking! Not a good omen. Also noticed there are no VRM heatsinks installed on this unit which could account for some of the CPU heat. The stock CPU fan is anemic. The interior design is small and will not fit a stock RTX card if you wanted to upgrade it. It is not a system to upgrade over time but again at the $980 price point, I didn’t care. If we could have purchased a water-cooled system at the reduced price point we would have and I believe the design hinders the ability of the system to adequately air cool it. It is noisy when it kicks in cooling. What is surprising we were running a Lenovo Legion 7i notebook on the desk with a docking station (10th Generation Intel® Core™ i7-10750H Processor, NVIDIA RTX2070 Max-Q) at full settings in games and couldn’t hear it but the R12 is like a fan running on high! Again we are so disappointed and will go back to using the Legion 7i.

This video is just like reading each manufacturer website product ads.

  17. Raymund Brown on April 23, 2022 at 7:05 pm

The Alienware R13 blows these away with 12th generation CPU’s, ddr5 ram, and rtx 3090 gpu’s. The case has also been improved to allow for far better cooling and ease of upgrades when they come available…

  18. Alien Space on April 23, 2022 at 7:05 pm

  27. Kiss Shot Acerola Orion Heart-Under-Blade on April 23, 2022 at 7:15 pm

How can the ASUS Rig be number 1 when it’s being reviewed with a RYZEN CPU and comes included only with a single stick of RAM? A single stick of RAM is a bad enough idea on its own, but Ryzen CPUs HATE single stick RAM and your performance will be actively hindered. if you’re gonna buy this computer I would suggest buying a new set of RAM alongside it 100%. And that’s the minimum – The case is also garbage and I’d highly recommend either getting a new case with way better airflow or spending a bunch of coolers. Or at the very least, leave the damn side panels opened.

  28. Shadowdancer on April 23, 2022 at 7:16 pm

Hi – Just let you know that the MSI Agis Ti-5 link to amazon shows a far more different system than the one you reviewed. Take care and I did like your reviews overall.

I’ve seen multiple people I know spend 4 to 5 grand on a gaming PC setup…
I’ve always thought that was absolutely insane to spend that kind of money just to play games, but I guess if you really have a passion for gaming and you have the money…then go for it.
If you’re going to get something, you might as well do it right and buy the best of the best.
I’m perfectly fine with spending 500 bucks on a console though…considering I’m only a casual gamer. I don’t spend every single minute of my free time playing video games, so it wouldn’t make much sense forking over thousands of dollars to build a gaming PC.
I am on the other hand, really interested in seeing what exactly a machine that costs that much money can do… I bet it’s about as realistic as a video game can get.
The performance must be absolutely outstanding
I realize that 4 or 5 grand is probably at the highest end of what a gaming rig can cost.. But what would you guys say would be the "average" price tag on a higher end setup? Around 2500 or so? And I’m talking about the entire setup, with accessories and everything..
Can you buy everything in a bundle? Or is the best thing to do is buy it piece by piece?
Heck I’ve seen some gaming monitors that cost more than my computer itself.
