One other good reason to go with the 8gb model is FUTURE PROOFING. in a couple of years the OS and Apps will be updated and we all know they will demand more Ram.

I reached out to the Samsung support team and they told me there is no s7+ 8 GB RAM with mobile internet support on the European market. That’s a big pitty :(( Such devices are for the US market, there may be some other markets as well – I do not know..

You should have check how much RAM is available for S7 for 6GB and 8 GB tablets. I think 2GB of the ram is consumed by Android OS, and remaining is for the user. Then we can come to a conclusion about whether 8GB is enough for heavy use or not.

  6. Rahul reddy on March 16, 2022 at 5:43 pm

But why the f would they put 6gb ram when even midrange phones have 8 gb ram.

Can these tablets run Citrix virtual desktop business software?

  8. Salma Douidar on March 16, 2022 at 5:44 pm

There is no 265G for 6G RAM only right?

  9. Sea Panther on March 16, 2022 at 5:47 pm

What’s "heavy multitasking"? Give us an example for reference.

  10. Rotvic17 on March 16, 2022 at 5:49 pm

Do these two have the same refresh rate

  14. Andrew Morse on March 16, 2022 at 5:53 pm

This is the answer I was looking for! Ty!

Nice comparison, If the extra ram made ANY difference even like 1% smoother operation of the UI I would go for it…. But if its just for heavy multitask I would go 6 ram. I used on in store and it seemed silky smooth like ipad pro. However I keep going back to an ipad pro. I just love its ui fluidity and the pencil just amazes me how lag free and real it feels. The tab S7 pen seemed very good as well, certainly close enough to seem as good but I just can’t stay happy with android tablet apps specifically video edits, Lumifusion on ipad is pretty much compromise free for edits on a tablet. I do like the aspect ratio of the Tab S7 for video watching but everything else I prefer ipad. I like to use ipad vertically for notes and the Tab S7 just doesn’t look or feel right portrait mode. I do like S-pen features though… They def make a nice tablet. I feel there is room here for a new tablet operating system. Something designed from ground up to work on tablet screen with pen/touch input. All the versions we have are modified mobile OS or Windows trying to be tablet friendly. Dex is decent I guess but I still feel there is something that could be designed specifically for tablets UI wise.

The Tab s7+ is still not available in my country I thought about getting it from Amazon US but I am kind of afraid that the warranty will be an issue if I ran into any problems the base model of the tab S7 here cost 866 US dollars (the only one that’s available)which is very expensive and I imagine when the S7+ finally comes out will cost 1100 dollars or even more that’s why I was thinking about getting the S7+ from amazon which will cost around 1000 dollars for the base model

Good Video thank you! I’m really stuck between getting a 8gb model WiFi only OR 6gb model with both WiFi & 5G can someone help me decide haha! My thoughts are get the more powerful one and tether my phone or not ever have to worry about tethering and just use my tab anywhere any help would be appreciated πŸ˜…

  18. Tony W on March 16, 2022 at 5:57 pm

Just ordered the 6 GB model. If you didn’t hit a wall I don’t think that I will.

  19. Arzich da Gama on March 16, 2022 at 5:58 pm

Where do I get the 8gb version cause I can’t find it anywhere!

  20. Prince vernon on March 16, 2022 at 5:58 pm

I really am having a hard time with this to replace my iPad Pro lte . I was set on mystic bronze to Macy home my 20 ultra, but it’s only in 128 or 512, no let. Then I really use and like cell service, I’m stuck with 128 gb, 6 Gb ram and only black. Sigh. I wish I had more options to choose from, especially getting the 6gb vs 8gb model with lte. But I get it, don’t want too many options as this isn’t going to sell like iPads. But I hope there is enough interest to allow many options

I Love this Tablet so Much!!! I Bought 8Gb Version for the Best Experience!!! Yay πŸ™ŒπŸ™ŒπŸ™Œ

  22. SpydrByte on March 16, 2022 at 5:59 pm

I purchased the 6gb and did a big stress test.

Twitch with picture in Picture mode.
    Spotify playing music
    Firefox with 5 tabs opened.
"Paint" app with a project open
And a filmora (video editor) project opened.

And a bunch of other apps opening totally 16 apps.

It peaked at 93% but steady 89%.

Its more than good enough and for a user like me that only have 5 apps MAX open at a time this is still a great purchase.

  23. jerry caughron on March 16, 2022 at 6:01 pm

Should I buy WiFi or 5g????? Thank you

Would the 128gb with 6gb of Ram be great for college work?

  26. Cesar Ordonez on March 16, 2022 at 6:03 pm

I did not know there was a ram difference. I got the 128gb.

  27. Adrian Rojas on March 16, 2022 at 6:05 pm

I just got mine today the s7 plus, wowsers I love this thing.

  28. Bricks n stones on March 16, 2022 at 6:06 pm

Would you perhaps know if the tab s7 can be connected to windows as a 2nd display with a physical cable? (usb-c to usb-c or hdmi). i saw how it works wirelessly, but i am wondering if this method (if plausable) can kill lag. Thanks for reading.

  29. CityguyUSA on March 16, 2022 at 6:08 pm

My Galaxy S4 has 16gb and you can’t have any more apps than will fit in that 16gb that’s a hard limit. Even if you got a 100gtb SD card you won’t get one more app than you already have in that 16gb. Is this that same type of setup where you can only have 6gb or 8gb of apps or is it used more like a cache where you can still have apps on your 256gb RAM storage as well but they have to be moved to the main storage like a desktop would essentially giving you up to 264gb of apps if you desire?

What about a comparison to Surface Pro or HP Spectre or 10" Windows 10 Fusion5 FWIN232 Plus S1 or others? It sounds to me like you’re sold on the Samsung but have you looked at any of these others?

  30. Nabi Butterfly on March 16, 2022 at 6:09 pm

  35. Alex Sherel on March 16, 2022 at 6:15 pm

  36. john smith on March 16, 2022 at 6:15 pm

Is there any performance difference between 6gb and 8gb tab s7 plus

  37. RandomPixel on March 16, 2022 at 6:16 pm

I got myself the S7 256GB, The same price of a base model S7+ I thought I would personally rather have the bigger storage and RAM over the OLED screen.

  38. mael on March 16, 2022 at 6:16 pm

I can’t seem to find an 8gb version in my country… even though there’s the standard tab s7 with 8gb ram πŸ˜‘

  39. olosnah1 on March 16, 2022 at 6:17 pm

my goal is 8gb… not no one has it available

  40. mall231 on March 16, 2022 at 6:19 pm

Thanks for this iam in the UK and we only have the 6 gb model I was thinking of getting the 8gb model imported because I thought I might be missing out and plus iam upgrading from the tab s4 so iam sure it will be awesome πŸ‘Œ πŸ˜€

  41. WarTon on March 16, 2022 at 6:19 pm

I ordert the Tab s7 with 256 GB rom and 8gb of ram for 580€. (Here in germany there is no 256gb version and the one with 128gb costs 680€
    And now I’m super happy

  42. Alexis Garcia Gonzalez on March 16, 2022 at 6:20 pm

    That case looks gorgeous

  43. Nathan Hassani on March 16, 2022 at 6:22 pm

They skimped out on the s7… Should have given us 8gb ram on both, this is 2021, the aren’t cheap tablets, even the normal s7 is a hefty Β£600, give us the same specs for both models and leave the s7 plus with the better amoled screen.

  44. Ricardo Calderon on March 16, 2022 at 6:23 pm

I went with the 8gb RAM because samsung dex is looking more and more promising each year. I dont want to have to upgrade next year when they add more features that require more ram.

  45. Nando Ginkaku on March 16, 2022 at 6:24 pm

Ok. I’m sorry for the dumb question guys but the more ram something has. The more it kills the battery? As in will it drain it faster and shorten a device’s lifespan? Just wondering because I assume more power in a device obviously works everything more, right?

  46. EmuGaming on March 16, 2022 at 6:27 pm

I have been using mac products since 84/5 and am fully in the apple β€˜eco’’ system and yes while apple is slick they are also very annoying. You forgo the right of β€˜your choice’ and have to say I am fed up of the proprietary walled garden apple impose. Without getting into the technical debates and such I just find the apple greed machine now too much and why pay to be controlled.

I have multiple top end mac and IOS products but I am now starting to replace and diminish albeit painfully from the apple eco grip. I have just purchased the tab s 7+ and really enjoying it even though a lot of apps are not landscape mode friendly at least I am getting better value for money and still a slick performance and more importantly freedom to choose and change how I want things other than being told it’s Apple way or the highway.
