Back for blood was trash compared to the old ones. Nobody wants to stop and exchange ammo every few moments while unlimited non stop zombies hit you in the back while trying to take a moment to prep. It should be about twitch skills not survival horror planning and prepping and stopping to do anything but grab some ammo and keep going.

I wasn’t expecting halo to be so good it’s ease for me the number one in 2021 I hadn’t played halo before and because of this game I started finishing all halo campaigns.
Lotta good games this year. Top 10 for me: Halo, Forza, Deaths Door, Psychonaughts 2, RE8, Tales of Arise, Metroid Dread, The Artful Escape, 12 Minutes and Monster Hunter Rise. All 🔥🔥

6. Sunset overdrive.
5. Prototype.
4: Subnautica: both versions.
3: Call of duty: black Ops 2.
2: Forza Horizon 5.
1: Grand theft auto.
Both Forza 5 and Gta fight over the lead cause most of the time I can’t really choose which is better.
Edit: The new Jurassic world game that I recently just bought could possibly be on the list.
Hyping shitty games .. get a life and a PS5
AOE IV is not on Xbox 👎 Mass Effect is not from 2021 and totaly overrated, flight Simulator is 30fps and have no Story. Halo is horrobil, a bullshit Story, a ugly open World. Multiplayer is full of Cheater.

I’d have Halo 12th, behind Wreckfest, which was given new life in my library with its next-gen update. I honestly don’t understand the love affair with Halo. I like it, but it’s a game I can easily put down because there’s so much else I’d rather play. Admittedly, I’m not a big fan of first-person shooters. The only shooter I’ve absolutely loved is the Call of Duty that came out with the 360 launch, so that could be why. To each their own, but my eyes roll with every Halo praise. I’ll keep playing it in hopes I see why it’s beloved.
My lovely wife bought me a Series S for Christmas. Been playing Halo all day. I got a PS5 last year so now I’m set for sooo many games.

If I ranked the games I played on my Xbox this year, it would be as follows:
1) Halo Infinite / ME Legendary Edition
Was my first time playing ANY of the ME games… I fell in love with them, got every single achievement in the collection.
2) Psychonauts 2
3) It Takes 2
4) Forza Horizon 5
5) Guardians of the Galaxy
6) Death’s Door
7) Narita Boy – don’t sleep on this one! it is on gamepass!
8) The Artful Escape
9) Back 4 Blood
10) 12 Minutes… actually had a blast with it
*Unranked: Man, flight-sim’s console launch was so exciting. What a treat. It launched shortly after I got my OLED tv… and it was beautiful.
Honorable mentions: Loved Omno! I need to play Forgotten City, the Ascent, and Unsighted (also on gamepass)

I’ve been into more realistic games this year: MLB The Show, Flight Simulator, and Forza Horizon 5. Plus Psychonauts 2 and It Takes Two. I do recommend for your list to put games you didn’t play as "Honorable Mentioned" to make your list more believable.
Sometimes games aren’t as good as people say (like Cyberpunk 2077) so it’s good not to assume unless you play it.
I agree with your # 1. Halo Infinite is my GOTY. I had Psychonauts at # 2. Then at # 3 I had my biggest surprise of the year Guardians of the Galaxy. I suggest you check it out if you haven’t.. # 4 I had Resident Evil 8.. Then Hitman 3 at # 5 to round out my personal Xbox top 5.
This year I played more my Jaguar with homebrew games than the Xbox Series X
Ill name a few, gta5 minecraft fortnite jump force halo cod modern warfare cod ghosts cod advanced warfare cod cold war codwarzone among us rocket league resident evil forza horizon 5 apex legends
It took a year but Outriders finally feels like a good game.

Let’s be real, halo infinite doesn’t deserve #1, not that it’s bad, just not a finished product and has some terrible problems AT THE MOMENT. I would’ve put it at the #2 or #3 spots.
Got a new xbox last year as soon as it came out but it’s my first time turning it on now curious what everyone is playing at the moment

Forza Horizon 5 was my favorite Xbox Game this year. I still have to beat Halo Infinite’s campaign as I was quite busy working until now
I’d have to argue that Age of Empires is not an Xbox game…it’s a PC game.
