Why the Xbox One X CAN'T always do 60fps – Colteastwood

Forza Horizon 3 and many other X Enhanced Games have been updated for the Xbox One X, and many gamers are wondering why most open world games can’t offer 60fps or higher framerates.

Neither hardware in the world can maintain 60fps all the time!!!

    Xbox one x = trash

I like your presentation, voice and how you use it.
Keep up the good work. 👍

I’m not a PC gamer but do have a budget gaming system that can play most titles. From my understanding all the Xbox games can or will be able to play on PC. So if you already own a gaming PC is the Xbox X worth getting since it doesn’t have exclusives? I don’t know if this matters but I haven’t ran out to buy 4K TV and have Xbox S that I play most games on.

Cus shit gpu, the 1050 ti is better

  6. aiden on February 7, 2022 at 10:12 pm

    Fit?

  7. Ender Pea on February 7, 2022 at 10:12 pm

Well of course the One X can! Even the One S can play in 60FPS at times! However, not always. Just like how the PS5, Series X and Series S won’t be able to play at 120FPS all the time but, well oftenly play at 60FPS. And just like how the PS4 and Xbox One will oftenly play at 30FPS despite the fact they can play in 60FPS. However, it doesn’t mean they can’t do it.

When u put the graphics on 1080p 60fps are no problem

  9. dredre on February 7, 2022 at 10:14 pm

So after listening this, i assume you’ll agree it would be worth it to upgrade to series s if you already own one x since it does has a better processor but less ram?

    This is my dilemma

    Xboxonex can’t do 4k60

    Ps4pro can’t even do 4k 🙂

  11. AZmotion on February 7, 2022 at 10:16 pm

Playground setup fh3 running in 4k60fps within 2 hours of getting the dev pack. They had 2 choices:
Keep it 60fps but the same graphics
    OR
Make it 30fps and make the graphics better

And they chose the second option. If you want proof, there is a video about it by Playground themselves.

  12. theinsfrijonds on February 7, 2022 at 10:17 pm

I should make a Youtube channel where I use best information to make better videos than this. It’s enthusiastic and well-written but where’s the analysis from task manager about what makes 60 fps difficult to push? I miss when people talking about tech actually knew that stuff. This is like the TMZ version of that, thanks

  13. Ray Harth on February 7, 2022 at 10:18 pm

You can not expect to get 4 k at 60 on a computer or a console for $ 500 , They would be better to try an get 60 fps at 1080 p they could also have 2 version of X box one with a bigger Cpu costing more and let the people decide what they want.

  14. Batooony on February 7, 2022 at 10:19 pm

I don’t give a shit about resolution if it compromises frame rate

  15. Inksankebabpizzeria yt on February 7, 2022 at 10:19 pm

i hate when console games dont have graphic settings i just wanna play 60fps…

  16. rambot670 on February 7, 2022 at 10:22 pm

Personally my main reason to stick to PC were cheats and mods. Plus, TVs are prohibitively expensive in my country. UHD TV prices are mind boggling.

So I turned to laptop gaming. Keyboard&Mouse / Joystick flexibility , Core i7-8750H , 144Hz display (100% sRGB, 90% Adobe RGB),16 GB RAM, 1070 Max Q and portability won me over.

Plus the TB3 port will ensure that I can upgrade when I want to.

No hate against console players. I am sure that there are very good reasons to opt for consoles.

I have the Xbox One X and I can say I thoroughly enjoy my games. Some of my big titles run on 60fps with 4K and some don’t. It a hit or a miss.

  18. Ethan on February 7, 2022 at 10:24 pm

    30fps is completely unplayable

  19. Monki on February 7, 2022 at 10:24 pm

Because it’s got shit-tier specs basically

  20. JackDavies on February 7, 2022 at 10:27 pm

Because the CPU isn’t strong enough, there just saved you 9 minutes.

  21. Anton Larchey on February 7, 2022 at 10:27 pm

Something i think you forgot in this one, maybe i missed it ?

In some cases, it’s not the game’s graphics that made the One X unable to target 60FPS. It’s the rest.

Exemple : Destiny 2. Bungie said very clearly the One X had all the power needed in the graphics department to run at 60 FPS. BUT, on the CPU side, it wasn’t enough. The physics + AI + all the other things the game has to do other than graphics were too much for the CPU to handle, and that’s why it didn’t have a 60 FPS option. It means even at 800p it wouldn’t run at 60, because the limiting factor weren’t the graphics. It’s called a "CPU bottleneck". That why on Stadia for example, the game runs at 60 FPS, while on most games One X and Stadia are on par. Because they have better CPUs back there, that’s all.

It was the same issue for a whole bunch of games one One X. Keeping the same CPU meant playing the same games at a hghier resolution/with better quality graphics, but that’s all. It doesn’t have added power for physics, game systems, number of AI, etc, compared to the base consoles. And some games have more stuff in this department compared to others, so the framerate can’t be doubled with the same CPU.

It’s like putting a 50hp engine in a sports car. It would totally be able to lap a track at 120mph, but one of the crucial parts will prevent the rest from going as fast as it can. With added aero, better tyres, etc, it will handle better and perform better at the same speeds as before, but it’s engine won’t go any faster than it originally could.

  22. Florian Huet on February 7, 2022 at 10:28 pm

Do you think that MS will optimize their games for both X and Series X the same way, resulting a same performance ? (graphics and 60 fps)

  23. Zoli on February 7, 2022 at 10:29 pm

I would love a one x next to my ps4 pro

  24. Ecz V. on February 7, 2022 at 10:29 pm

30fps gives me a fucking headache thats why i dont play 30fps game

  25. Jack The Ripper on February 7, 2022 at 10:29 pm

I have the PS4 and the Xbox One X I compared the FPS in Rainbow. Loading screen on both FPS is 60 until when I started the situation. Xbox One x FPS dropped to 30fps even on 1080p, while my old ass PS4 hit 60fps on a 1080p. I love both console but When I saw the Xbox FPS drop that cost $400 with a promise of being the strongest console ever (they lied)and a PS4 for $300 was made in November 15, 2013 running at 1080p with a little here and there FPS dropping but running at 60 FPS. Gotta say I wasted $400 on a shit console. If I bought the PS4 Pro that would put my old PS4 and Xbox One x to shame.

  26. lightandlove141 on February 7, 2022 at 10:32 pm

No cause other xboxs are limited with some games 30fps. If the one X would go for 60 it would be not fair…

  27. Tundra on February 7, 2022 at 10:34 pm

I dont care about 4K but i wish one x did 60 fps on all games

  28. Sandip Khadka on February 7, 2022 at 10:35 pm

They are saying its 30fps but the video itself is at 60fps (gaming sins) haha.

  29. Alex Jones on February 7, 2022 at 10:38 pm

I would happily take medium settings 1080p 60fps, over 4k ultra or even 1440p at 30fps. It doesn’t matter if the game can run at ultra 4k, if it’s not hitting the smooth 60, or atleast 45fps, what’s the point?!

  30. Gokual on February 7, 2022 at 10:39 pm

I thought it was the console best evah

  31. Anthony Harper on February 7, 2022 at 10:39 pm

title Why the Xbox One X CAN’T always do 60fps
answer: because it doesn’t have enough power 😉

  32. jamesb8488 on February 7, 2022 at 10:41 pm

It does do 60 fps on bf1.

  33. Ravenomics on February 7, 2022 at 10:43 pm

Because the PC steals all the fps.

  34. WeatherOne613 on February 7, 2022 at 10:43 pm

i have a old pc with a GTX 770 and i can get stabel 60fps on games i have on pc and xbox one x. If we could choose grafics or fps i would go fps all the time all day long

  35. Legaceybeats on February 7, 2022 at 10:45 pm

    Yes it can.

  36. TheRedPixel on February 7, 2022 at 10:46 pm

You can’t say a FX 4100 is equivalent to the jaguar cpus on consoles, actualy the jaguar cores are much inferior since they have no cache l3 and have 4 cores on each cluster, instead of 2 + other downgrades t o jaguar to make it power efficient compared to the fx line. It would me more similar to the apus cpus launched on that year

  37. Amir Hadzi on February 7, 2022 at 10:47 pm

Microsoft fucked up its all about very good graphics which both of them have have but sony runing on 1080/60fps is a HUGE DIFFERENCE. Bigger difference than its 4k fucking graphics u have on the 4k television. and VR SYTEM CRAZZZYYYYY

  38. Whomsky on February 7, 2022 at 10:48 pm

Because consoles suck, change my mind

  39. Darren Morris on February 7, 2022 at 10:49 pm

Why can’t we have an option for 1080p @ 60fps sure it’s possible on the Xbox one X .. !!!!

  40. 777george777 7k777 on February 7, 2022 at 10:50 pm

    4K 60Hz (15-60fps) HA HA HA

  41. Dew on February 7, 2022 at 10:51 pm

It can do 60 but games have to support dx12 forza 7 runs dx12 so its native 4k 60

  42. Drew Bullet on February 7, 2022 at 10:51 pm

Because y’all don’t know how to work your settings correctly. You can can get 60 on the reg Xbox now the Xbox one s 120 but it reg on 60 only improving the graphics and power the Xbox x you get true 120fps. Easy

  43. Salakzz z on February 7, 2022 at 10:53 pm

I’ve had ps4 and Xbox.. same tv and same WiFi.. ps4 held an easy 60 in fortnite and my Xbox runs 45 in games. Ps4 IS BETTER

    in sort consoles are trash

  45. Ender Pea on February 7, 2022 at 10:57 pm

People in 2018: _talks about how a console with 12 gigs of RAM and 6 Teraflops of power can’t play in 60 FPS._

Microsoft in 2021: Well the One X has done great in 60 FPS, let’s add 60 FPS to the One S!!

  46. RunLego on February 7, 2022 at 10:58 pm

    Reason it’s not powerful enough

  47. Lostygir1 on February 7, 2022 at 10:59 pm

  49. deez nutz gamer on February 7, 2022 at 11:01 pm

  50. Josh Molina on February 7, 2022 at 11:01 pm

Why don’t they just give a way to edit ur video settings??
