whats the benefit of having the light on top of your monitor?
Great video and very detailed. Only problem I had was that you said 32inch was the best viewing size, and then go on to recommend a 38inch monitor. π
Watching Again & Again The Best Monitor Review
What about Samsung C34J791W?
2x Thunderbolt 3 Ports , Allows making the best of the 2 tb ports on like M1 MacBook Pro.
One could connect to the monitor and charge the the MacBook on one port, and connect an owc thunderbolt hub in the second port of the monitor. and still have one free thundebolt free on the MacBook. Iβm seeing it costs about 650β¬ on amazon Germany.

Insane video, loved how you summarised the key features to look for based on your experiences targetting productivity – Ultrawide (30% increase space), Curved is better than flat as the larger screen means it’s harder to get a visual on the items on the edges (I always wondered why curved was invented), you mentioned 32" is ideal VA has high contrast but IPS has better viewing angles, the IO points both charging and connecting your PC making it a hub at home (mind-blowing, never thought of that) and finally the bezel mount, love the floating idea. Anyway, I call out the points above, so you know exactly why I personally found your video to be so INCREDIBLY useful mate. Much love!
I really like your LG monitor.. but for the price.. I would probably get the new G9 MiniLED 49". I ended up going with the $950 G9 (prev version) 49". I almost went with 38", but between software dev, DAW, video editing and gaming, I wanted the bit larger size.
Amazing video quality
7:04 π too true
Very informative video!! Just what I needed! May I ask what is the laptop mount/stand under the ultra wide curved monitor? Thank you!
Sick bro, lip sync is a bit mashed though geeze
Acer ET322QK is good?
Recommendations for a monitor that does have the features of being able to power laptop through usb-c (9:14)
Are you sure about the Dell P27 and not U27 also from Dell?
Killer video!!
E! Thanks for all your work. Can you please suggest a widescreen (preferably curved) monitor (34 inch or above) which has good resolution/sharpness to work on text-related stuff for 10+ hours each day. I hear UW monitors are not good with text-related work (as they have low sharpness/resolution) but I need an UW as my work involves having multiple screen, and I need to switch contexts while working a lot.
That is the perfect video. Great editing, you are instructive and agreable
Confession, I have not made it to the end of the video. Yet, I have had enough as a first time viewer to subscribe. Thank you brother and God bless.
I don’t know a lot about monitors and I have a question. Is it harmful for eyes to use a monitor with low fresh rate (HZ) and I have to buy the monitor with 120 hz or more? Is It not hamful for eyes?
"gamers back off" – for fuck’s sakes. someone finally said it!! whew. Every video towards tech these days is dedicated towards gamers like dang. leave something for the rest of us π
"…multiple monitors have always been distracting for me" (3:09). I can’t agree with you more.
Great video man. Nice work
This video is all in one π
Thanks for the video. Starting Looking for a husband gift for February 24. Our 15 years of Marriage. Thanks for your research.ππ
Would you recommend getting the 32inch VA M7 or the 27inch IPS Dell monitor for ps5 console gaming sir?
Would you recommend 32" 16:9 for a programmer?
32" UHD vs 32" QHD – any recommendation?
So which 4k monitor could works fine on Dec, 2021?
Hey! A quick question! You said you’re work previously involved web designing. From a web-designer to dev, can you tell me why NOT a 16:10? I’m thinking about a 2 monitor set-up with 2 16:10 with thin bezels. What do you think? Over kill? Will wide monitor do the job(worried about vertical space)?
Hey E, what are your views on Pro Display XDR.
Please reply π
Hi , I have Mac book air M1 , could you recommend me some good monitor. I need it for lab practice and study purpose only.
Can you help me out? π Does an ultra-wide, like 34 inch have to be a 4k, or not? π I am someone who wants to get one, has a personal M1 Macbook pro and a ChromeBox device capable of 4k, will that work for me? π
Which monitor do you suggest for creators for 3d lighting and rendering.I am using Arnold , Redshift renders ?
LG 27ul550-w OR asus proart PA278QV
Wow, great video, just what I was looking for. I’ve always used a dual 27" set up, but It would be REALLY nice to have a center "anchor" as you describe it. I
ll consider my options..
I have the LG GL 850 which is IPS but I much prefer VA panels for movies as its vastly more immersive.
Just had to let you know I thoroughly enjoyed that video – great editing kept me engaged the whole way through!
Please can you review it Dell P3222QE? I am planning to buy it
Im really surprised you recommended the Samsung M7. The colors when connected to macbook or pc was flat and dull and no amount of color calibration fixed it. I had to return it because I was going crazy with bland blue light.
Excellent video! I am at 50is and my eyes hurt with three monitors + laptop screen. My job requires me to have 4 applications with 4 different monitors (email/chat/Linux/windows-63 tabs). What monitor do you recommend?
Is samsung M7 best for video editing better than lg 27ul550 in its price range???
Thanks for imbedding ads.
Surprised the LG Ultrafine 4K or 5K wasnβt mentioned here.
Thanks ππ»π
What are the soundspeakers that youβre using?
500$ budget while im here holding my 100 bucks looking for 1980 huewai in discount…
What is the best for eye strain?
This is such a great summary of great info – thank you!!!
Around 2 years ago I worked for a company that provided me a Windows Dell Laptop (5510) and an external 27 inch Dell 2k monitor. The issue described next was encountered by multiple colleagues receiving the same setup like me. When connecting to the external monitor, periodically, something would happen ( enter sleep mode!?) and the laptop froze and became useless and the screen had Burberry like patterns on it. Not sure this was due to the fact that the graphics card was not good enough to support the monitor or was due to other reasons (nobody could figure it out). I was thinking recently to get an ultrawide 32/34 or 32 inch 4k monitor for multitasking purposes but due to the experience described above I do not want to purchase an external monitor that might be useless due to hardware limitations/issues on the laptop side. I guess the only assurance would be to get an external eGPU, which based on my understanding would assure a smooth functioning, but would also increase significantly the cost of the multitasking experience. My use case includes only multitasking ( at about 1-1.5m distance from the monitor) and reading text on it, no gaming. (programming use) Any recommendation for such a use case?
Really I enjoyed your description and review .. it is like a very interesting lesson in monitors. Good luck and keep going with this attitude and line ππ
