imo this is kind of a skewed list as some games got over 100 reviews, while others like castlevania advance got 16 reviews, so it’s gonna be inflated

I cant stretch enough how good Endwalker is!! Deserved that rating! I play FF14 since ARR and endwalker is like love letter (from the devs) to ppl who were playing the game since 1.0 (the disaster) and ARR, but also it has an amazing story that even players who started the game recently can enjoy 100%! From gameplay perspective they have managed to fix a lot of things/issues but its an mmorpg, it will always need here and there more fixes/balancing the jobs (classes) or some of them etc but all and all amazing game!

If returnal also had a parry function to return some of the bullet storm I think would have helped, but don’t get me wrong I love returnal, the quick and cruel gameplay is rewarding once you get the right weapon.
They’re all within the mid to low 90’s for me, but I’d give the top 5 best games to:
1. Nioh Collection
2. Returnal
3. Ghost of Tsushima
4. Ratchet and Clank
5. It Takes Two
Well, I can only assume that the people you were been taking about Returnal, probably the same people who asks for difficulty settings on Dark Souls…
Tell them that the Switch has a bunch of graphic novels for them.

No one takes critics seriously anymore.
I think Final Fantasy 7 remake kind of suck because it’s not really a remake of the original game it’s the making up their own story and making up an alternate timeline
I don’t believe they take price point into consideration for metacritic scores.

I don’t disagree with returnal. I think it should have actually scored higher and been game of the year. At least nominated. And the consensus that I have gotten from comments that I’ve read through time, it was received positively.
Resi 8 was not too bad, machine themed bit towards the end was bs though
